Now that is an example of a good 911 dispatcher who knows how to empathize and use intuition, unlike the other dispatchers with NO patience and contributed to the demise of the people they were supposed to help.

That last one though. I kinda did that to get myself and my kiddos out of an abusive situation. Their father had beat us before going to the eye doctor and I wrote a note saying to call the police for a dv situation. Best decision I’ve ever made

When they needed help, one called 911 to ask for food; the other wrote to the restaurant to ask for police. Thankfully both were understood.

I’m always vigilant when out to anything that looks off-putting or suspicious. Please pay attention and if you see anything strange DON’T IGNORE IT!!!!

Now that the criminals know these signs come up with new safe words and signs. Keep changing them. Don't ever use the same techniques. You're most likely to get caught if you use the same techniques. Criminals learn as they target new victims so in order to keep them guessing you must try different ways.

I tried quietly signaling for help and wrote down, please don’t say anything. I need help. Yo, people thought I was crazy and asked out loud what? Help with what? I was motioning to the phone and quiet. I couldn’t hang up. I wanted to be discreet. I got no help.

Now all the criminals will know that too.

I am a great-grandmother, and so help me, God- I'd rather die than let some jackass of a man abuse my kids! I don't get these women! If you don't want children then PLEASE let someone who has the love and resources adopt them. There is no shame in that, but there is in abuse and neglecting a child! I'm thankful for alert ppl that care enough about others to get involved.

I've used that sign before... I was really f&$king scared! I don't know if they understood it.... But, It certainly alerted them that it meant something was not right!

Nothing wrong with being creative in asking for help without being obvious but my concern is what if the wrong people start learning this like they eventually do and start abusing it example : Psychological warfare on individual who's not doing anything abusive , violent or etc etc etc and isn't it risky giving that info out online when you got psycho people watching it and may use it if they haven't already My advice is codes for getting help need to be changed like passwords because the longer you use it eventually the psychos catch on like hackers

I remember one from I think 2020/2021 were a girl was talking with her friend in a video while her abuser was in the back and she did the sign to her friend and she instantly called a cop and the guy got arrested with no problem. Lol
