..i've got some sheet metal shims bent at 90's that i'll stick in the hardy to take up some of the slop. mostly 16, 18 and 22 gauge. Good job on the tools also. i made a hood for my forge out of an old dryer...
thats a cool idea with the punching and drifting I know you're not entirely happy with it but it does save material and a lot more upsetting...its given me an idea about punching and drifting the end of the rod to save time upsetting ...potentially
Thank you! I'm not upset with the process, mostly just my order of operations. I think it would have been better to start with square, but I was just using what I have around the shop.
