I'm Russian and I do not understand much of what you say in your videos, but they're so cool that I watch every one enjoying them (the text was typed in google translator XD)
nZ7 sound tests for speakers only really work for audiophile channels because they would have the gear to record it and most of the viewers would have high end monitoring headphones to listen. Sound tests for mics are fine, but most speakers would sound the same without the proper setup
William videos TV in France this product cost between 100-120 dollars! It’s 100-110€ so expansive dude. Apparently the sound is correct but the basses feels strange
Wow a value product from Razor. Never thought I would say that in my life. These things are a really good value until you add the subwoofer. $500 isn't really worth it to me for what it is but just the speakers are awesome for the price.
Megaforce+ l don't need to hear them to know they sound bad, you can tell just by looking at them. l don't care how much RND you put in, a single 3'' woofer in a plastic box will not sound good and that is a fact. it may sound good to people who don't know what good sound is, but to somebody with tuned ears they are going to sound like garbage. anybody who knows a thing or 2 about acoustics knows that these aren't good speakers.
Electronics For Fun Em being decent sounding is enough. Noone uses speakers anyways so aint that big of a deal lmao. N still, u can't say shit when u haven't tried em. I kinda trust a tech yt'r more than a random in internet.
"Em being decent sounding is enough." maybe for you, but the rest of us want the most we can get. "Noone uses speakers anyways so aint that big of a deal lmao." actually lots of people still use speakers, they aren't out dated or old or anything and they are better than headphones. recording studios prefer speakers to headphones, as well as a lot of audio editors. headphones are only for when you're on the go or need to be quiet, 7/10 times you'll find that people prefer speakers to headphones. "N still, u can't say shit when u haven't tried em." yes l can because l know how acoustics work, and if these speakers sound good then they defy the laws of physics. "I kinda trust a tech yt'r more than a random in internet." and that's why l am the wolf and you're the sheep. l can think for myself and l know a lot more about audio than frank. fact is that these speakers aren't good, maybe if they were cheaper they would be decent but for $100 they are garbage there are so many better speakers for that price. (personal thought) l never use speakers with a built in amp, because you don't know what kind of QC that amp has going for it. the amp is the most important part because your speakers can only sound as good as your amp and a lot of active speakers get midrange to terrible amps put in them. with passive speakers (no amp) then you can use your own amp that you've tested and you know sounds good and is tried and true.
I really like razer I own a lot of there products myself and it's awesome to see a company take chances and try so many new things from all of there concept products to things like the razer phone and now these new desktop speakers even to the small things like with the red LED light on that mic they try and tune and perfect and as a consumer I love seen that
Just got these. I’m not mad at them. They are what I expected them to be...namely pretty but so-so sound (the bass isn’t impressive at all.) I fiddled with both my bass settings in my laptop and the speakers and even with the most amount of bass possible, it wasn’t anything impressive. I had some cheap logitech speakers that had a subwoofer and sounded just as good. These also have REALLY directional sound, meaning sitting smack in the middle of em they sound pretty good but you move a little to the right or left and they lose ALL bass and just emit mid-high tones. It’s not a surprise based on all the reviews, but I just thought I’d get them to test em out. Got Soundsticks too so I’m planning to compare and send back whichever one loses. In the end tho, your really just paying for aesthetics and the RGB, which does look pretty decent.
I have an issue: I connected my Razer Nommo Chroma on my PC with the USB cable. But I want to use the speakers also on my Playstation 4. How can I do that? There is only an Audio Cable left. But no connection for that on my PS4. What to do?
*My review:* I have had these since April 2020, everything he says here is TRUE. I especially related to the positional audio. Sounds more like 5.1 rather than stereo, without any additional software (synapse is totally optional). Although, one very disappointing aspect of them, at least for me, is the bass, but not in a NORMAL sense. Since day 1, whenever anything played any bass-centric, they got terribly distorted, but only the bass. It's kinda hard to describe, since they sound totally normal, but it sort of like makes a hollow sound. I used warranty to get a new pair, and they do the EXACT same thing. idk if I'm just unlucky, or if Frank got lucky with his, or (most likely), they made sure these ones he showed off worked, OR maybe they are just like that. Nonetheless, I DO HIGHLY RECOMMEND these if you think I'm just unlucky, or if you're not big into bass. Other than that, these are phenomenal. Great job Razer! (sucks about mine tho 😢)
i think it's just a normal tech problem for all small speakers on the table. I checked different products on RU-vid already, same issues with the bass. I guess the bass problem is normal on those around 100 dollar products. But have you try Creative T100 or anyone has it ? I kinda looking at this one and the T100, cant decide which one i should go
I think the Logitech G560 for a bit more money is the better buy since it comes with the woofer, sadly out of stock on BB and Amazon though, going to have to suffer with my G PRO X headset until I can find em, thanks for all the reviews, you’ve helped me out getting set up to game/stream!
Would you go for this soundbar Razer Leviathan 5.1 Surround PC Gaming Sound Bar over these speakers? Not for gaming but for listening to content on PC ?
SO! I got 3816USD to make a sick setup, and i need you'r help! I'm gonna buy the following: Razer Firefly Ajazz AK33 MSI Codex 3 MSI Optix G24C 24" (im buying 2 of these) Arozzi Milano (Red) Razer Nommo Razer Seiren I already have LED's around the top corner of my wall and roof, but thats about it. I have exactly 728,22 dollars left. Any idea what i should use those for? Should i spend them or not?
these speakers honestly look like trash from the prespective of sound transmission. I think you're gonna lose a lot of heavy bass frequences being tiny and frail like that compared to a traditional square speakers
FYI you won't get the USB connection with the non-Chroma version, which I think means no synapse/EQ support. It could possibly also mean lower quality sound without a decent sound card, but don't quote me on that.
Feedback: Wish the headphone jack was on the front. You loose several inches of headphone wire reaching to the back and many wires would bend in a "U" shape. If you forget and pull away you do lots of damage to the wire-plug interface. Wish they had a toggle switch on the front so you can leave headphones plugged in all the time, but flip the switch to change from speaker to headphones. I listen to speakers when I'm home alone, but use headphones if family are around sleeping.
DAC = Digital analog converter, the base can not be a DAC as it receives analog signal from 3.5mm jack if it was usb with real DAC it would be really amazing.
Not sure, but the 90's aiwa speakers with integrated subs would probably be the best alternatives for these, just add rgb to them for little bit of bass 😂
Hey dude. I know this is an old video and u may not see this comment but I hope u do. I have the non RGB nommo speakers. But the cable from left to right is about a meter too short. I want to cut the cable and extend it. Do u know if it's just a speaker cable? I asked razor but they were useless.
it's a counter top from IKEA probably, that's pretty common these days. people like to make their own desks with IKEA counter tops, they usually use drawers or shelves as the legs.
you mentioned that when you connect a headphone the speakers automatically switch but when you connect something on the aux will it do the same? im planning on connecting this to my pc and and to a vinyl player and im hoping that i can leave the aux connected while im using my pc.
I've seen some of the images and there seems to be an input port on some of the images? are these only with the Chroma version? I'm looking into them for pc speakers and to plug one of my consoles into as well, do you know if this would work for both without having to unplug them?
id use them for youtube and movies and some offline games, i play most games with a headset but for a computer you still need speakers even if you game with headphones
I have some of these in the box,i ended up buying something more conventional,i, like you also play most everything with headphones but the few times i used them the sound was really crisp, not a lot of bass (mho) but they are nice, they are mainly for gamers because of the lights,a nice compliment if you have a rig with lots of lighting.
Does the lightning work without computer plugged in? Maybe it does sound like a stupid question but I really like those and i wanted to use them with my TV and PS4...
It's not the first time. Check out the Razer Mako. Way more premium and better, but it's not manufacuring anymore. Was product from the old quality level of Razer, before they went making shitload of stuff and was also fully manufactured by THX. The NOMO series looks another cheap CHROMA product. The Mako used Bi-Amplied solution and Class HD by Audera Acoustics. When you add the touchcontrol POD... was amazing product. And the sound is uncomparable - reviewed by many audiophile at the time. The subwoofer driver is also bigger @ 8''
Four of these speakers alone would probably not give much of an extra effect, It's not about the sound alone that would give the 5.1 or 7.1 effect, It's the processing of the sound. four of these speakers would still be cheap quality for more money spent.
Got my pair of speakers yesterday, fairly good speakers but they do not sound as good as i expected. This is more like what i would expect from a 60$ pair of speakers, though the design might add to their advantage and therefor the price-tag. So my tip is, look at cheaper models and compare the sound, if the design really speaks to you on this one, well go get it. But for the sound alone, it's not really keeping up a quality worth the price.
Will these double as movies/music speakers as well just fine ? Because their main purpose is gaming ... Also, how do they connect to a computer/laptop ? USB or jack port ?
Just bought some today from Best Buy should be here Thursday I have a series x and recently wanted to better my gaming experience so I got a little aoc monitor and these so hopefully they treat me well really stoked to game on these
I heard a rumour that the Chroma lighting isn't compatible Mac. Is there any truth to that ? Can anyone confirm or discredit that rumour please ? If that's the case I would like to save myself $50.
those of you who have these... help me out here, how do these sound compared to something like the Logitech z623 that are in the same price range. or something like the cheaper Logitech z200. if you don't have any of those any other reference points?
