When I was playing ball in HS I had prob quadruple the guys in the student section as these haha someone always did the sensei thing, I always loved hearing that. HS basketball was awesome. Although I was trying to focus as hard as I could, they def got a laugh out of me a couple times. We’ve come a long way since 2005 though. The opposing student section once cheered, “he’s a f*ggot”, in the style of “we can’t hear you” haha you’d prob get arrested for that these days. Ohhh the good old days of Massachusetts HS basketball.
One time my friend went to a game like this but when the other team started chanting mommy’s and daddy’s, they said back “ITS ALRIGHT, IT OKAY, YOU WILL WORK FOR US ONE DAY!” Btw it was the best catholic high school in the state vs some public high school, I wanted private school and so did my friend
there’s like 10 people at our highschool games but that’s like all the seniors that don’t play and like all the middle schoolers that play sports go and a bunch of others go but they jus sit and never cheer
man, this took me back a decade. i went to an all boy private school & our sections were always this hype. we would go back & forth w other schools the whole game lmao
I like this because they didn’t fight each other during this whole thing. I know some places that aren’t capable of doing this all in the name of competition.
On our middle school version of senior night we were playing one of the two teams that were 10-1 battling for conference championship (we dont have playoffs in my district and the other 10-1 team had were playing a 5-7 team so it was must win for our opponent) and our student section was about the size of both of these combined. The game started with an opening 11-0 scoring run by us to force a timeout and by the 4th quarter it was a close game and it was the loudest crowd I have ever heard in a middle/high school game in my life the game went into OT and we lost 53-51 due to a complete BS travel call and the crowd started to sing "3 blind mice". also their best player was a reclass who is almost 16 who had a knee injury and our crowd was chanting "sit the sophmore" at their coach I miss basketball season so much
This happened at my brothers high school but the other ( away school) had so many more people and they were so rude like they figured out one of the players names and they were screaming “ --- SUCKS, --- SUCKS”
I was at game last night and there was about 10 maybe 15 of us in our student section and about 50 in the other student section. But we ended up winning!
At my high school it is mostly the other teams. Football goes to all home hoops games as they can and Lacrosse goes to each others. Also it is always run by the seniors on the Hockey or Lax teams.
my student section screams "U CANT DO THAT! U CANT DO THAT! U CANT DO THAT!" whenever someone fouls and in vb they do "woooOOOooSH" when every someone serves with little twinkling hands sending the ball off
