I'm someone who always loves to plan life, someone who always must stick to a schedule each day and hate it when this get unpredictable. I've learned over times that sometimes, the unpredictable is better, and that despite it's unpredictable nature, life happens in both good and bad ways. A teacher just told me "these things happen" about 40 minutes ago when I was talking about my plan for making up late work. Amazing timing and keep up the great work.
It's my last day of school for the year and my favourite teacher is leaving. So the students decided to throw him a surprise party with cake. But I'm sort of on the outside socially, and nobody told me that they were going to have the party at recess. So I sat alone wondering where everyone was (one of my friends who I usually sit with was at the party), until I realised that they must have been having the party...without me. Generally I don't really care about missing out or people not mentioning stuff to me - I'm content to do what I do. But this teacher is really cool and I wanted to be there. But nobody thought to mention it to me, it's like I'm a ghost, something that doesn't matter. I'm here but not fully, sort of like people can walk through me. Instead of being happy about it being my last day, now I'm just reflecting on my existence, how little I matter to those around me. Normally it's fine, but this was important, and it's bothering me. I feel like the weird friend in those stupid high school dramas, the one people don't bother with, the one they overlook or only turn to when they need something. I'm fine to keep my head down, I'm fine to not exist to them. But for some reason the fact I was so easily forgotten by people I've spent years with and worked in a class with for ages, well it kinda hurts a little. And then I saw this playlist, sitting in class on my laptop. These things happen.
Oh dear, I can relate much to this. Don't worry, mate. Someone out there feels happy that you exist! You might not know, but these people truly care about you regardless of your thoughts. Now I hope you heal from things you suffer silently from. These things happen but know that you are worthy in the eye of pure people with pure hearts. Sending virtual hugs!
