@@Lee-One i bet a hundred grand that you did not figure that out on your own. Stop the 🧢, you saw some hooper, or some influencer seeking clout by not changing into hoop shoes. It went trending, and now people purposely wear crocs on the court because of it
@@crispyhumanbaconThey’re not too bad. The bottom half construction is excellent, super solid and will never wear out or separate. The leather they use on the top is kinda cheap but they don’t crease at all like an af1. The coating doesn’t bubble or crack really. I’ve seen people wear them for a year straight and they still look great. If you get them at retail price they’re a pretty good deal compared to most other shoes imo. You could do a lot worse.
@crispyhumanbacon this is the thing, they're a beautiful silhouette but when I see them in the stores they always look cheaply made and tacky, like they won't last me 2 years type shit.
New Balance is resilient to “trend culture”. Unlike other brands, they were and always will be a brand catering to podiatric cares. Podiatrists and foot doctors will always recommend it. Along with Brooks and other “dad” shoes. Gotta give respect to all the other “boomer” brands out there that stand the test of stupid youngblood trends. RESPECT YOUR ELDERS!
It's quite funny, every second dad is rocking sambas or Handball Spezials or any of those Adidas shoes here in Germany. They are the kings of these shoes even though they are now trending
It saddens me how hyper-materialistic this subculture is. I use a pair of 550's as training shoes, honestly I dig them more than my Metcons for lifts right now
as i got older, i started to like leather boots... yeah, they cost a bit more (ok, sneakers can be expensive af, but you don't have to spend 300$ on a pair) but they last for a few years... like 20+ years... also you get them for free in the army... KS90 is a legend... developed around 1950...
Wearing vans for 15+ years now and thanks to the vans trend died out. I got 3 2nd hand bnw vans pro that are quite pristine condition for a price on brand new 😅
I'm a true sneakerhead, I don't wear my shoes due to trends! I will always wear AM 1, New Balance etc etc etc. I prefer to wear kicks that aren't hyped and I always break necks.
I wear whatever is on sale at marshalls and tj maxx. Most of the time they have a bunch of different colors of vans and Converse, and a bunch of Nike and Adidas running shoes. New balance. Timberland workboots. Etc. I get my size 13 vans which usually cost me around $110 for like $20.
Sneaker companies do not make $600 off one pair of shoes. They sell the shoes for “retail” which is always wayyyyy cheaper than what you see on reselling apps
The converse Chuck 70 is a pair of a aged sneakers but it’s in the coolest way possible I would recommend the chuck 70 for anyone if they want to try converse
They're comfortable, reasonable durable and they go on my foot in the style of a shoe. Shoes are one of those things I can't believe people could possibly get hyped about
I found some random black & brown NB at Ross once that were so clean, they looked kind of like SB’s like you could skate in them or run in them. I wore them to work for like 2 years and they finally gave out recently. I tossed them without looking at what kind they were & now I can’t find any like them😩
Never actually did. Black Vans Old School are defenetly my favourite and I probably always had at least one pair for the last 8 years. Loved them as a kid and still love them.
For those that don’t have them, comfiest pair of sneakers i own. I recommend getting the all white or black and white color ways first, then dipping into another color if you like them
I don’t care what anybody says, new balance makes some of the most comfortable shoes. They also make some excellent skate shoes or at least they used to when I skated, not too sure anymore but they were solid a few years back.
I’m proud to say I’ve never hopped on any of those shoe/fashion trends. They seem dumb imo. If it looks nice, feels nice and it’s affordable it’s a thumbs up for me.
Most of those shoes are $75 dollar shoes. I have 30 pairs of sneakers I love them but only for use. I've bought ultra boost for 30 bucks in off colors because it's about the performance. How dunks and 1s became popular is bananas
If you’re truly into sneakers then “your favorite sneaker” being dead is a good thing. Means you don’t have to pay stupid prices to get what you want. Wearr what you like and wear to kicks
New Balance ALD 550s initially became a trend, because the masses saw the shoe and loved the design lol People forget a trend is when everyone bought it, has it, enjoys it, and re-uses it. Just like the Nike Roshes or the Vans or Converse. Something becoming a true trend means everyone gives it a sign of approval and the business succeeded at creating something everyone enjoys. The Astro Boy shoes were never a trend other than the very small 1% of people getting their hands on it and wearing it at events. I kind of doubt you would see normal people wearing it daily lol
