I started buying fake football (uk) shirts , after prices for the real ones became ridiculous. The quality of the fakes are so good I am pretty sure they are made in the same factories with the same materials. Just made out of hours with less quality control. I have never tried fake trainers etc. I’m old so in my day fakes were poor quality made from inferior materials and easily distinguished. But seeing some of the QC on official products these days and knowing they are made in Asia anyway makes me wonder. I do agree buying fakes of high fashion designer items are people trying to act like they have more money than they do. But Nikes, sports team jerseys etc I have no issues with if they are over priced to begin with.

I was a teen during the 2013-2016 era of fashion and supreme was all the rage back then, I remember a friend who bought a supreme white tee for around a thousand bucks and I thought it was silly but now as I am in my early 20s I managed to thrift two supreme x Louis Vuitton baseball jerseys and I wearing it and getting compliments I can see why people back in the day were hyped about the brand but now very few people wear them and for me, I fell in love with the brand as it reminded me of simpler times (even if some may find it cringey in today's fashion). Supreme was my gateway to fashion and I will always look back on the brand fondly.

When I was a teen back in the 90s my parents couldn't afford to buy me nike air Jordans coz we were not rich. But my aunt bought me an original pair J11s as a birthday gift and when I wore them to school my classmates clowned on me saying they are fake coz my family couldn't afford them. I’ve bought 5 pairs that putting them next to the real one you can’t tell the diff I’ve saved my self about 3500 dollars. I heard that LV no longer conducts appraisals because the quality of fakes is so good. I don't actually mind if someone buys fake stuff, it's their money, and to be honest, *amzclothes* it's probably more financially sensible.
