Kia ora and welcome back to Sid Meier's Civilization VI (Civ 6). Today I'm talking about the best units in the game. These are the srongest units for their type or era, and they often have unique elements that set them apart from the rest! Following the final free update (released in April 2021) we saw some new units like the trebuchet and the man at arms, and a lot of rebalancing to existing units!
Here are my top 5, top-tier military units in civ 5! As I discuss at the start of the video, I have not included naval units because they're not always relevant (a lot of maps don't really have oceans..) and they're underpowered on average. I do, however, include air units and land units from all eras. If you're reading this, spoiler alert, the number one unit has to be the swordsman. Not only is it tough, but it aligns so well with siege units that require a melee unit like the battering ram! You will destroy cities with it, I promise.
