Ah yes, I'm glad you're rocking Platinum Tier 1 with it. I had played a Soul/Thestalos variant in the XYZ event but didn't have much luck with it. But I quickly noticed that the burn damage shortened the OTK a lot. I'm currently Gold 2 again and working my way up with my deck. Great video and very very good notes.
I don't blame you I going for anti meta monarchs after I am done with relinquish and testing more techs in my shaddoll invoked dogma compind with grass and magician of faith
Im a returned player and always played monarchs passionately. Right now i struggle a little with getting plat one in master duel but thats beside the point. I want to hear your opinion on the magicians soul and illusion of chaos i8n the TCG ... I mean if you draw illusion you can search for souls and put it back into the deck, also if you summon souls then you could ditch up to 2 spell and traps from hand to draw 2. Would be a Pleasure to see you comment
an interesting deck, I use another version, I take advantage of Zaborg's effect to destroy either itself or light monster and empty my opp extra deck, and mine too
Was actually thinking of adding Thestalos to my Monarch deck as well as it's one of the few Monarchs that can be played even if you go first, glad to see it actually works well! Also, how do you feel about running Summon Limit on this deck? I run two copies of it in mine and was able to reach Plat (currently Plat 4) with it. I think it's an amazing floodgate and definitely came in clutch for so many duels yet I don't see other Domain Monarch players using it.
@@Lithium2300 Interesting choice. I did consider it but always thought that Summon Limit was more reliable since it doesn't require a tribute monster to be face-up, but I haven't actually tested it in duels so I'll give it a shot! I might even try running both lol
I tried to special summon Kuraz off of Ehther, but couldn't pop any cards due to missed timing! not sure how it would've went for you against that numeron OTK opponent
It doesn't always miss. It only misses timing only when Ether's SS effect activates as CL 2 or higher. If you're using Edea or Mithra's to-grsve effects or Return of the Monarchs, just make sure you activate Ether's SS effect first and the former at last. It's also what you generally want to do anyways, to chainblock potential threats to Ether. More importantly remember that since your opponent typically has turn priority when you want to summon Kuraz, if they can they will start the chain, and Ether's SS effect might be CL2 or higher, so Kuraz will miss if summoned. For instance: you tribute summon Ether off of one of their monsters via Stormforth and that monster has an effect if sent to grave. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, it's been a long time since I played the deck and the rulings about creating chains used to be different
If they Ash your spells TTT might prove useful but I would generally keep Ash for Ether and Erebus. In which case, TTT doesn't draw into any extenders because you don't run any (there are no extenders, the only one is One for one but you'd still need another tribute monster in hand to make an effective extension. In other words that's never gonna happen) Called by seems better to me even though it's far from perfect
i find that this deck bricks more than half the times. I played 3 friendly games with a friend playing Cubic and going first i had nothing to do all three games.
I dont have a great deck i am Kinda New To Yu Gi Oh i am creating a deck i kinda need help cuz i dont know what to put in it I currently have 3 Blues eyes A Magician of Black chaos poly monster reborn swords of revealing light and Obelisk
I reached plat I with monarch too. But sometimes it's impossible do something with meta ftk or eldilch. Can you share your ID to follow you on master duel?
