In Texas HS football is just DIFFERENT! We spent the week with Aledo
High School, the defending Texas state champs. They are setting out on their season looking to make HISTORY. They're in search for their 9th state title, which would be a Texas state RECORD!
We got to see how these warriors prepare for battle. They barely let the confetti fall from their previous state title until they were back in the weight room.
These dudes know that being an Aledo Bearcat means something to the community. So when they put on that jersey it's "NO BULLS***"
Can Aledo start the season off right on the road to making HISTORY!?

Well they have done it it pretty much every classification in Louisiana plus beat the best high school teams in the whole country! When Hoover was ranked #1 joe McKnight and John Curtis ran through them with ease like no competition! Texas is great football but John Curtis could do it in any state!

Texas high school football is the real deal! Looks like a D1 program. The best states for high school football and D1 talent products (In my opinion) are Texas, Florida, California, Georgia, Louisiana, Ohio and Alabama. No specific order really. Just based on the number of 5 star recruits from each state and the awesome high school football programs in those states.

I've lived and watched ball in 3 of them for over 30 years. I live in UT now, went to 1 season's games in the top division and can't stand watching it and haven't gone back - and a local sportswriter here told me which schools had the best programs etc. My kids graduated from Allen HS - last one the spring before they won State for the 1st time...
