People understand how pathetic this is, right? The game was called not due to the heated scrimmages on the field, but because fans and/or family can’t control themselves enough for the athletes to compete.
They wouldn't care at all. They see the time and effort put into running a gas station but they'll still trash the closest gas station to their house to the point of it closing its doors and moving elsewhere.
The levels of unacceptable behavior on the fields/courts and in the stands at high school/aau sporting events is shameful. Taunting, talking smack, crotch-grabs, flexing, swearing and fisticuffs - all the educators and PARENTS should be ashamed of themselves.
Hell, they see it every Sunday watching the NFL. As far as this game one of the players said the same thing happened last year when they played. Maybe next year have a closed game no fans.

From the parents, to the principal, school administrators, and students at Jenkins High.. you all should be embarrassed and ashamed!! 2 years in a row the game was called because of student’s fighting in the stands. This is the reason why they think we’re animals and don’t now how to act.. distasteful and disgusting
If you think it’s only Jenkins students in crowd you don’t know Savannah I graduate 6 years ago but we would go other schools games I will go cause I had friends an It was girls at school me an my homie liked but It might be Jenkins football team playing but all them kids in the stands don’t go to Jenkins if they even go to school at all It use be bad when I was in Highschool so I know for sure It still is it’s beach Sav high Johnson new hampstead groves Windsor all schools be in the stands at Savannah high schools public games It be like that with basketball also
When 90% of the fans have the thug mentality, this is what you get. Parents are not bringing up their children right. One solution would be to televise it on a local PBS and lock the gates.
I know I feel the same way when I hear that there was a school, church, grocery store or other shooting that killed in multiple numbers and they show that the shooter was a white person, not in the least am I surprised 😉
It was too easy. The black team didn't have a prayer. Things were said in the stands and you know how impulsive they are to react violently. I am not surprised and in fact expect it.
I can fix this, don’t allow the parents or students to come to the games. I’m sure it wasn’t just students fighting in the stands. It’s either ban them or have an off duty officer for each individual section to be ready to intervene before the camp fire spreads in to a wild fire. These people have zero self control and probably cause stuff like this on a weekly basis.

That looked like a Pop Warner team playing a high school team! Team in white was huge! Their line was twice the size of the poor kids in black! Gotta hand it to the players in black though, they kept on playing hard and didn't give up. Coach of the white team should've pulled his 1st string and played his bench. No need to run up the score in HS like that.
Was thinking the exact same thing bro! We’re there to test the kids a game, sportsmanship and all that great stuff. Part of that is how to win with class. There’s no need to drill it into an obviously inferior team by 5 touchdowns.
here in nz we are more humble when we score in rugby. we dont mock opposition and yell and scream with over the top emotionalism.which Americans could learn as it would deflate a lot of unnecessary aggression
That's not going to happen. Security and cops are defunded in these areas. That's what they want!.. and it's going to ruin their own culture and everyone else's for that matter
Several schools have stopped scheduling certain schools because of this, at least three schools I know of dropped their sports programs because no one would schedule them and the ones already committed to their schedule just forfeited the games.
1. No fans 2. Only parents of players 3. Move it to right after school. Also, with all the technology available, fans that fight should be banned from district events. Period.
Being at that game and leaving bc they thought someone had a gun and shooting would scar me for life and me being there has scar me from ever going to a game with Jenkins being there again it’s not a bad school just bad decision…
As a Puerto Rican born in the projects, I avoid a certain "culture" when I'm in public, restaurants or any event when they're congregated because 9o% of the time violence is predictable.

Why didn't the ref call taunting on the play broken up in the end zone and excess celebrations by the leading team. And why does it always seem to be the same demographic stirring things up?
Thank you for pointing out the obvious. Unfortunately, nobody ever really says it, or you're labeled a racist. Its just stating the obvious! The ref's did a horrible job controlling the game. I saw leading with the helmet multiple times, along with a host of other penalties.
That doesn't matter. Coach has the right to play who he wants when he wants. It's his team. I get what you're saying but I've never been a fan of well it's 56-0 so you have to pull your starters. I get it but that's no excuse
I'm a Brit; I'm stunned that a school football game, has to be abandoned due to crowd trouble..! It's incredible... As an addition, Jenkins, were really bad.
The team in white, The Cadets , clearly outmatched the maroon Jenkins team. But, having been involved in youth and high school football, I don’t see the reason to kick a field goal when up 39-0 late in the 3rd quarter in a clearly one sided game.
No student activities for a year. No prom, no homecoming, no band, no speech, no Honor Society, no sports, no Spanish Club. NOTHING. For a full year, for the entire student population. Peer pressure is a powerful tool.
