Stalin did not draw the maps. It started with Lenin not wanting war, because the ussr was against war after ww1 and promised the people the war would end, so he selected the short term solution which would please azerbaijan and turkey to avoid war. If you disagree I can get into details.
@@EnverHalilHoxha1917 are you talking about the invasion of 1921? i mean yeah ottoman turkey and ussr agreed on caucasus borders, turks took western armenia and georgian west south territory while the rest was left to ussr. Im talking about the redrawing borders in ussr between caucasian SSR republics
To be fair, everyone in the country hates the prime minister who did it and called her like super Hitler or some shit, and nicknamed her "MinkeMette" (her name is Mette) and is still shitting on her for that decision. Tbf the danish people should be getting reparations.
Mink eradication never happened but if it did happen it wasn’t that bad but if it was that bad they instigated it and the Danes had no choice but to do it but the Danes *didn’t* do it unless it happened which it didn’t. Did I check all the boxes? Also I love your videos Geopold but truth be told after binge watching them while feverish I started hearing that door slamming sound effect you use extensively going on repeat in my brain and it was a wild fever trip. Moral of the story, next time invite me on your trips through Europe cause that sounds wild.
So you live or lived in LA area. You know flyover country, we think the same about SoCal it’s all LA or San Diego, and in all honesty we forget about San Diego cause it’s greater Tijuana now.
The CIA got a boner when you said your new country would invade both Russia and Iran. You might be able to convince them to give you a few hundred million to give it a shot.
As a belgian, I kinda feel insulted that my country isnt included in the list of fake countries... I mean, Luxemburg and Denmark made it, why not us? wtf ?
As an Azerbaijani, Transcaucasian State would be the biggest exporter of amazing national dishes, tourism locations and war crimes that humanity hasnt ever witnessed before. All qutabs, lavashs and khachapuris should reconsider this
13:00 as a Finn we could never do this, the Norwegians are so nice to us, in fact they even wanted to gift us a mountain for the 100th anniversary of the Finnish independence 🇫🇮❤️🇳🇴
@Madippadibabas That's fair, but the symbolic nature of the act should've been highlighted, as to not cause confusion or debate on this topic, like right now.
You can know that Michael Jackson (მიხეილ ჯექსონვილი) was Georgian because he became white (part of the Caucasian race) in his late years, revealing his true identity
Just so you know. Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro all speak the exact same language, like US English to UK English. For example: ‘jebem li ti pas mater Gattsu” means “glory be to Gattsu” in all of those countries 👍
I find it interesting that georgians see themselves as European while everybody else in the Caucasus does not see themselves as European at all and see themselves as just Caucasian or West Asian
@@waynesworldofsci-tech Execpt for all the native genocides you committed and still discriminate on natives or people with brown skin but you know, Canada, eh?
@@LajosKossuthOnline Didn’t say we were perfect. What I a saying is that compared with most countries at the current time racism isn’t as big a problem here. My father was born in Italy, so I wasn’t considered ‘White’ by most of Canada till the Seventies.
South Caucasus history during 1917-1921 is so interesting. The Ottomans invaded Azerbaijan and tried to take the baku oilfields in 1918. The Armenians, white Russians, communists and the British teamed up to fight against the Ottomans and Azerbaijanis in the battle of baku. It is the strangest and funniest battle of ww1. The British arrived at baku and immediately started preparing to leave Baku because of how poor its defences were. The Armenians and communists threatened to bomb British ships if the British abandon Baku. The British didn't care and left them. Think yall should all read up on it
still the craziest crossover episode to date when Azerbaijan had democracy and had Ottoman monarchy as their allies while Dashnaks had British and White Russians to come to their aid. Its so bizarre you cant make this up

Yugoslavia: Similar people of slavic origin, split between two major christian churches and a muslim minority. Gets caught up in 10 years of wars and thousands of dead and many genocides Caucasia: Three different nationalities with no similarities, three different religions, a Turkish ally, a Turkish enemy which are also kind of both Russian allies and a country that got invaded by Russia. There isn't a similarity. Maybe the only thing that would keep them together is the hatred of the Russians from the population (but not the governments)
@@adoberootsthat russio-phobic gene is being activated in the Armenians. They just need a bit more time before they join us in hating on the Russian government (what gave away that im Georgian. GIVE US BACK ABKHAZIA AND OSSETIA RAAAAAAHH 🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪🐺🐺🐺)
3 religions? Last time I checked Georgia and Armenia were both majority Christian. Also Armenia and Georgia for example are probably more similar than some Balkan countries (say Albania and Serbia). Azerbaijan is kind of different, but arguably culturally still somewhat similar to both (food/music/worldviews/behaviour/etc - less Aliyev's dynasty of course).
@@haykk5375 Well not excacly religions but i meant the apostolic church in armenia and orthodox in georgia. Also they are probably as similar as serbia and albania. But i still think that they are more different than Yugoslavs since they were all Slavs and most were Christian
When the first Georgians arrived in the Caucasus, they were black because the Caucasian (white) race hasn't been formed yet. But they endured great hardships in the snowy mountains, so their skin gradually became white, hence the name Caucasian=White
As an Greek from Georgia, I ask my Self what if all the Balkan Countries Unite with all of the Caucasian Countries and plus the Baltic Countries in one big Country? But for How long will be this Country existed? the biggest Benefitt of this Country will be that Germany, Russia and Turkey will never Conquer this Country.
I mean Switzerland was founded because a bunch of rural villages in france and austria were sick of their governments forgetting about them so they just all teamed up with their neighbours and did their own thing, so it could work😂
Hey Gattsu! Your Stalin parody is freaking hilarious! You know, as a Ukrainian with fat eyebrows, I also like to do territory claims that were done by another Ukrainian sleepy dude with bushy eyebrows, who had the entire union of hilarious republics under his control 😅
fun fact! there are as almost many armenians living in russia as in armenia. this means armenia has a claim to most of russia, including moscow, since the city has more than 400 000 armenians living there.
I don't know much about Caucasian politics other than Azeris & Armenians really really hating each other, but maybe we could start with Armenia & Georgia as a test run for a federal republic then consider integrating more ethnic member states later, like your two breakaway republics. It takes time to build unity, no need to jump straight to uniting everyone near a mountain.
As an Azerbaijani, bringing back the Transcaucasian states would be sick. Gürcüstan, Azərbaycan, və Ermənistan, üçü bir yerdə, heç bir ölkə bunların qarşısında dura bilməz, çox güman ki də Gattsunu prezident seçərik. 🇦🇿🇬🇪🇦🇲💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
@@azamai There is definitely Europe "behind" (or east) of Turkey and south of Ukraine. If I ask you to provide the specific coordinates where exactly Europe ends in the Caucasus you wouldn't be able (and looks like you claim Europe ends at Belarus??). The thing is Europe is not a Geographic definition but a political one, and the definition has changed over centuries depending on how close Russia felt to Europe in a certain time period.
@@haykk5375 Europe is part of Eurasian landmass that lays to the west of Ural mountains and Ural river. Then goes on the Northwestern shore of Caspian sea and by the North Caucasian mountains to the Black sea of Ukrainian shores, then via Romani, Bulgaria to Istanbul, and Greece to the Adriatic sea... So as you can see South Caucasus and the east part of Black sea is not in Europe, however, Kazakhstan has a land in Europe bigger than England. I know it because I was born in the Kazakh city that has a bridge between Europe and Asia.
That is why I don't accept current European borders, it should be as I first explained you. And Europe is geographical term but the West is political concept.
If they joined the EU.... perhaps something similar would happen. But still independent. Like Ireland/Northern Ireland, former yugoslavia etc. Also switzerland united ethnicities with different languages and a history of war with the higher goal of staying independent and peaceful whilst surrounded by austria, prussia france and italy.
Don't forget one thing. The Swiss were fucking smart for giving the cantons enough autonomy to even the powerplay between them and also semi direct democracy. Man I wish Yugoslavia took some inspiration from swiss politics.
This Union would never work because the Azeris would say all of Armenia and Yerevan is actually ancestral Azeri land or some other pan-turkish bullshit (they've actually claimied this) and try to deport or just kill the Armenians and ditch the union to be united with big daddy Turkey. A Georgian-Armenian Union would be way better and actually work since both are Christian nations who dont want to get bullied by Muslims and Russia and have historically been on good terms for a long while.
im azerbaijani who studied the history of my country at school, we don't claim that armenia is ours and i dont know where you got that from. the only thing azerbaijan demands from armenia is the karabakh region. i have always been taught that until the soviet union happened, the region was a pretty diverse mix of azerbaijanis, russians, armenians, and georgians (as well as smaller minorities). also, azerbaijan is trying to distance itself from russia since its proving to be an unreliable ally and we get more profit selling oil in europe anyway. (we are still reliant on things like russian medicine exports though, but that's a problem in all of the caucasus)
@@windoak2113 True, but sometimes the historical revisionists just throw that out the window and call Armenian buildings and towns Azeri created. Ive seen it way to many times from Turkic nationalist people on twitter and other platforms. And when you try to correct them or have a civil argument it usually devoles into them being being blatantly racist to Armenians and saying slurs or pretending to not be racist but still very racist.
you guys don't seem to understand. azerbaijan and armenia have been cooperating until the soviet union, at which point relations broke down as people were resettled and armed forces grew. the fighting began when the soviet union assigned karabakh to azerbaijan and later collapsed. armenia had a large stockpile of soviet weapons and was able to invade the region and claim karabakh in the chaos of the soviet collapse. they also slaughtered civilians in the region, look up the khojaly massacre
The 3 countries could definitely calm the fuck down and start doing good trade, and sharing knowledge and building rails and keep your cultures respected. But in all seriousness, i wish you the best of luck fighting off that Russian infested foreign agent bill. You'll need it bud 👍👍
@@xaxagealls you have to do is wait long enough for a Georgian to take power in Russia and then it’s essentially an infinite money printer for weapons manufacturers.

I am in Azerbaijan right now and damn what a depressing country. But the people are lovely they are really hospitable and friendly. A bit shy but so am i 😂
3 Caucasus countries not getting along because of a history of war/genocide, 3 different languages, ethnicities and cultures... Meanwhile, EU uniting half a continent with a history of war/genocide, 24 different languages, 27 countries, at least as many different cultures and idk how many ethnic groups.
we should build **CAUCASIAN UNION*** (like EU) Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Turkiye Economic Partners; Russia and Iran Travel with no passport, no customs duty free passing, full connected railways and newly projects to develop the economy. Politically neutral with US and Russia relations, Russia and Iran only economic partners (1.4T economy (🇷🇺) and Gas Hub, industrialized powerful (🇮🇷) is good for union but they are not into in. Not united and EU is high risk, Russia can invade Georgia and Armenia. Only problem is Armenians, they should relax, should be normalization.
God made Azerbaijanis and Armenians enemies because he knew they would unstoppable as lovers. No but for real, considering the geographic advantage they would have had, if Georgia stayed in the Transcaucasian union to keep the Armenians and Azerbaijanis from ripping each other apart, they would have probably been able to fend off the Soviet Union from annexing them all. Basically it could have been Switzerland with direct sea access and oil. Talk about a missed opportunity!
Honestly, Georgians and Armenians can team up without Azerbaijan in their shared dislike for their neighbours; the Russians and the Turkics (Turkish & Azerbaijanis). Coming together in their shared victim status.
