15 skins plus some emotes for 10 euro. If the Zords were custom made vehicles that could form a Megazord and the weapons and armor had these small explosions when hitting, then it might have been worth it. Then again, modders did way more fun and epic stuff for free in ASE, Skyrim and many, many other games.

I was expecting you'd have to build the Dinozords and they'd be able to form the Megazord (like the Meks/Mega Mek in Extinction). And they're missing the Green Ranger and his Dragonzord!? It's a bit of a disappointment, seems to be more like they're cashing in on nostalgia as opposed to offering something that might be worthwhile. The zords/creatures could still mirror their biological counterparts stats-wise so there's no P2W incentive (outside of being able to build the zords - but you wouldn't be able to breed them) and Megazord could have been a timed event or have a cool-down. I dunno, I guess I was expecting more. Especially for a paid mod. It's kinda cool, but not cool enough for me to want to buy it.

@@Cailean556 Exactly. That is what I expected. This is fine for a free callab addition for fun. Not something I'd pay for. Watching Ned try out the skins is as much as I would do with this mod. If you could build the zords, or earn them a different, challanging way, and they be their own seperate machines that together indeed could form Megazord like the Megamek, then I would really have a reason to get them and use them for a prolonged time. Now, there are better creatures I use for combat etc, than these creatures. Certainly on a modded server.

Definitely prefer stuff like this over the Pyromane. One's simply a fun cosmetic pack with some obvious effort put into it (the creature costumes have their own rigs and animations, which is a first) but otherwise doesn't really effect gameplay, vs the Pyromane which is a relatively easy to tame apex-tier mount locked behind a paywall that'll always be showing its ugly mug on Scorched and Center regardless of whether you own the bloody thing or not... _Not to mention it being a very obvious Shadowmane remodel._

I agree completely. I refuse to support their $5 pay-to-win pyromaine but will have no problem paying $10 just for the pteranodon skin because it looks neat but doesn't affect gameplay.

Totally agree even though I’m an ASE player and new to Ark. I’d be so frustrated to see untameable Pyromanes roaming the map because I didn’t pay. They should have at least done the courtesy of making sure you can choose for them not to spawn if you didn’t pay and didn’t want to see them.

so sad to me just how many youtuber are showcasing rubbish like this, we all know its overpriced and does not in any way fit in the world of ark but every ark youtuber still making content on it. the same creators that had a big hissy fit about the £5 pyromane a few weeks ago.... told everyone it was a bad move to support.... then went out and bought it to make 'how to tame' vids. It just screamed of hypocrisy and makes no sense as they were asking us to not support a £5 animal dlc but then are advertising it and buying it themselves for the content. Not only is ark itself in a bad state i think at the min but so is the VAST majority of the content creators and indeed the content around the game

For a monetized mod and I hope I speak in a general community sense here; it’s very lackluster. $10 on a paid mod, in a game that’s already degraded in value, when the second installation is right around the corner; to barely obtain anything aside of pure cosmetic is just saddening. And they aren’t even fully optimized lol. It’s a sad grab at funds tbh. Where as on the mutual spectrum it’s a research collection on a season pass/battle pass sort of situation. As weird as they’re being about the “survival” aspect of ark 2. If they see people easily paying $10 for additional mods, there’s absolutely no reason they can’t join the wave of seasonal pass content.

Much as I would love to support mod authors, I would prefer to do so directly via Patreon or some other platform where they receive the majority of all income for what they do. I'm not buying this mod through ARK when I know Wildcard gets at least 50% of all earnings. The company doesn't deserve any money. And they won't get any from me. If these mod authors opened a Patreon for themselves I'd support them in a heartbeat. But not this way. Not when Wildcard also stands to gain from the financial exchange. F*ck em.

And that is why I’m skeptical that paid mods are actually all that beneficial for modders. They did 99% of all the work, they sunk the unknown hours creating and testing everything. Yet the company gets half of the earnings? For what-allowing the mod to exist “officially?” I suppose the publicity and having it in the Ark shop might reach more people and earn the modder more cash than relying on word of mouth and patreon. It might even look good on the modder’s future CV. But enabling the company to make profits from doing nothing and making profit someone else’s work seems kinda scummy.

overall the pack itself isnt for me, I don't mind it too much, its just fun goofy thing and can be disabled in the options. I am ok with cosmetic skins and dont mind seeing more hopefully for more franchises and IP that align with the vibe of ARK, like Jurassic Park, Tremors, Alien, Palworld,? etc. who knows.

Unless I’m mistaken, many of the people who object to the Pyromane due to it being a reskinned Shadowmane, yet charging real money for it comes across as lazy and uninspired. If it had been free and included with the maps as a relative of the Shadowmane, similar to the different types of Wyvern then some people would be far less annoyed by it. Like, if the Devs are really going to commit to the unsavoury practice of introducing creatures that are super powerful-even OP-then they could at least make the paid creature cool and unique that’s never been seen before in Ark. They could have at least done the courtesy of actually putting some effort into it rather than just slapping together a quick, easy, lazy reskin of a pre existing creature. I myself might have thought it would have been cool to celebrate the rerelease of Scorched Earth and The Cente with ice, lighting, and poison variants of the Shadowmane being included at no extra cost.

@@TheSinatra Not yet. The newly released game was just a remaster of the original game. Ark 2 is a direct sequel to the Genesis events set to come in late 2024 (likely delayed).

Nedd this mod is just mediocre💩, the skins are great but the creature animations are messed up because of their default counterparts trike and mammoth should have a sprint(what I mean is since they took away all creature movement speed leveling they should at least balanced them all and make sprint animations believable). WildCard should focus on creature TLC's example: stationary turning for big creature and push attack, proper resting or sitting mode, balanced and realistic spint and walking movement for all creatures, a height reajust, more atacks and not silly tail swipes🤡 example: carcha
