Nobody taught them how to cope with the poverty and chaos they were born into, but we sholl do blame them for it. No one showed them the value of their own lives; why and how should they value someone else’s? We can keep acting like whatever targeted genre of the decade is causing violence, or we can start listening to what they’re saying and questioning communities that allow such discontent to fester in its people. Its not the music. The music is made after the events. Its the lack of respect for one anothers black lives, due to lack of fathers instilling how their children should value their own lives and value others. And we have no fathers because black women are attracted to men who dont want to be fathers. So our community is raised without emotional regulation.

I have been n Jax since 2002... Seen about 6 Dead Bodies and out of them 6, two I have had to tell my kids close their eyes. A white lady laying dead n the street with both her feet cuttoff...smh
This is such a sad situation. I really wish they would just put the guns down and stop killing each other for nothing. I’m just praying for all the innocent families that are affected by these deaths. Their families don’t sign up for this. They’re just the ones who suffer the most when something happens to their kids. My condolences to all the families who have lost/will lose their loved ones in these situations.
That’s great and all but these same families that ‘ain’t sign up for this shit’ are the same families that allow their kids to own firearms, stay out for days on end, skip school/drop out, use narcotics, sell/distribute narcotics, and click up with the wrong group of kids. If parents were actively involved in their kids lives there would be less grieving mothers on the tv.

And since I don’t live in Jacksonville, all I can do is offer my condolences online. But I can see you’re young. From your name, you haven’t lost a street mentality yourself there’s nothing anyone could say that’s going to satisfy you. And that’s ok.
