SAM only scan Acheron and Black Swan cuz he already know Stelle matter of fact, all the Hunters do. And they need Stelle alive so that whole cutscene of "Leave now or everyone dies" is completly directed to Acheron and Black Swan.

Other key points that Sam=Firefly: If you remember, she mentions she has Entropy Loss Syndrome. I interpreted it as a kind of "heat death" where, at a quantum level, the bonds holding her together are breaking causing extreme heat and her to literally dissipate into nothing. She also mentions the treatment has been to be contained in an "icy box." By keeping her body/environment at an extremely low temperature, one might be able to slow the particle dissipation. Consequently, she still may generate heat, and it's got to go somewhere. Sam's suit looks like it's able to absorb and expunge a wild amount of heat, the amount that might be generated from particle bonds breaking. Her scene, with the Meme monster is bait, both times. It might not have been obvious the first time, but she stopped struggling when she was grabbed by it in the TV room. Also, Black Swan knew exactly where to save them the first time. I think given how the second time went, Firefly/Sam and Black Swan could be working together as well. The plan from the start was probably to bring out the players, specifically Acheron, and show the Trailblazer the truth of what the Family is hiding. This is why Sam is focused on Acheron, despite Black Swan being an "adversary" too, and why she was just able to kind of leave with the Trailblazer. Obviously the name "Firefly" has connections to light and fire, but also the fickleness of life and death. There's also a book called "Sam and the Firefly," and the combination of their names could be a nod to that.

Remember that Stelle used to be a stellaron hunter until they turned her into a vessel and gave away to the astral express. Everything that the stellaron hunters do are dictated by Elio's script and it seems like Stelle isn't supposed to be involved in whatever they are doing in Penacony this time. Stelle is also extremely valuable to them. And Sam mentions that they weren't supposed to be there so I'm assuming he tried to grab Stelle so he could *probably* take her out of the dreamscape (the lives of black swan and acheron probably did not matter in Elio's script) and set up some kind of ambush/trap for the charmony festival.

Ngl Kets, its kinda sad that you didn't hear Sam's theme. It was actually one of the best if not the best theme this patch. Absolutely fire, you should listen to "Nevermore" or watch a no narration playthrough of the fight. Trust me, its so good.

There's actually a fake ending like at Herta's Space Station way back in 1.0 if you decide to actually leave the opposite way to Aventurine after speaking to Black Swan. That and there's a little something-something for you to go collect at the point where Firefly died. I'll leave both of those findings for you to discover though.

I'm glad we're on the same page with how the meme is doing things (and it's meant to be a classic meme as in a pervasive thought in one's head) my theory is that it's a representation of death that collects souls but that's it, collects them, we're most likely dealing with a dot hack scenario where it simply separated the soul from the body and the only reason we're able to circumvent that in the fight is because it's the heat of battle and it wants everyone's soul

hey kets, new subscriber here! been loving your content and how much they make me laugh. penacony has me in shambles bc of how it went down. and I promise you, the side-quests are just as bad, emotionally 🥲 aventurine has been my fave ever since I accidentally happened upon his design, black swan, too. they’re characters who are seen as unworthy of trust, yet are actually the most truthful people around. save for the fact that that the truth they carry is HEAVY and has a cost. firefly is a fave, too. she’s like a little sister to me ❤️

It was great and it kept me up. Looking forward to your reaction to Swan and Sparkle‘s Companion Quest. It‘s hard to tell who is in which camp, but Sparkle is most likely on our side. I also wonder what the actual Robin‘s role in this story is.

So now that you're done with the main quest, my advice is to give the sidequests a shot. They're unvoiced (as per Hoyo tradition, may it be uprooted at some point) but are actually really good. They're themed around the dichotomy between Penacony being billed as a sweet dream and the actual reality of it all and giving some more context on how the Family operates, as well as providing more worldbuilding for HSR in general. The stories of Tizocic II (the emperor of Penacony), Cocona (a clothing shop saleslady), Chadwick (some old dude who's falling asleep on a bench) and Lesley Dean (some supposedly dead actor who just pops up in Penacony for no reason) are better than they have any right to be. Hint: Herta and Screwllum make a guest appearance in one of them. Aside from the Masquerade Duet companion quest these are featured in the Fate's Atlas and definitely worth a look. Only wanted to mention it because they're world quests that are a step above the ones we've mostly had in the previous worlds and a shame to miss out on. Also did anyone notice that Clockie's hat says "Akivili" on it or is it just me?

Stelle is like Sam's niece or smth, him being brother (in arms) to Kafka. Of course he wouldn't hurt her 👏
