I love theses videos because he’ll make the most manly voice impression and then suddenly switched to a whiny Asian voice which catches me so off guard. For instance, the fact that the Kaijus roar is literally: "WEHHHH"
I mean, tbf, in my opinion, I wouldn’t say Onda was an irredeemable monster, he’s more of a tragic villain who lost his faith in his hero after the loss of his family. He only killed himself because he felt like he had no other option, and he desperately wanted to be with his wife and daughter again. Plus, he’s actually one of those rare villains who are ultimately right because he said how family is everything and hard choices have to be made sometimes.
@@liliecoffey8846 agreed. I wouldn't say he was a villain who was right, only that he made sense and it would make sense that people would follow his goals. Kaiju create casualties, no Kaiju = no casualties (from monster attacks). It's overly simplistic. Personally, I think they're both wrong and more can be done to keep Kaiju away from human settlements and vice-versa.
OMG YOU ACTUALLY DID ULTRAMAN RISING! ULTRAMAN IS MY FAVORITE HERO OF ALL TIME AND TO THINK YOU MADE A VIDEO ON IT?? BEAUTIFUL, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO 😭👍❤️
1:06, Humility doesn’t mean having no confidence, it means having a balanced (“balance” being a key word as it’s a theme of this film), mature and objective sense of self, without arrogance and without shame clouding it (or more simply confidence measured by objective truth, not faked out of insecurity or misguided out of ignorance) the exact opposite of the selfish, arrogant, immature person Kenji starts out as and grows out of being when growing to care more about another being, Emi, than his own fame or success.
@@PurpleShiki It’s actually more complicated. Both kaiju and kaijin means strange beast & monster. Luckily, there’s a clarification. Dai-kaiju is for large monsters while kaijin is small monsters/freaks, the ones that Kamen Riders and Super Sentai deal.
Bro I’m not even gonna cap, at first I was sleeping on this movie and I wasn’t going to really give it a chance, but when I first saw an edit of some of the things kenji was saying I immediately turned on Netflix and sat and watched the 2 hours. Hands down one of the best movies Netflix has ever released.
"he has a face card that will make a straight man gay" jeez never knew that asians have this much potential for these jokes, i guess i haven't unlocked my inner asian yet
I love it when I find an animated movie on Netflix and decide to watch it because it looks cute, but I ended up loving it for what I didn't expect to be such a heartwarming story and amazing animation! It happens a lot😅
What’s funny is that in the original show and the rest of the series all the Ultras didn’t care about the kaiju lives and killed them all. Well, cared about some of them.
hey gang, just some context for this movie, ultraman is a cornerstone in Japanese pop culture and one of the largest super hero franchises, starting in 1966 and is still going to this day, its made a huge impact and is only now pushing into western markets. i Highly recommend getting into the franchise and maybe even the genre itself ie 'tokustsu' as it is an untapped gem that should be more recognised. this movie takes tropes from ultraman and various other seasons and twists them into a really compiling story, the creators had a lot of respect for the property and have done a great job. and great video to btw :)
Have y'all seen all the ken sato edits??😭😭 but fr he's so fine. And this movie is actually really good, im so looking forward to the next one. Funny as always KC!
I like how one of my most funniest youtubers recaps videos like this cuz as a kaiju fan id never think you would recap stuff like that. Also the Godzilla refrences in this movie is insane bro. Its so amazing! Kens got the Light skin stare fr fr. Here we go anyways.
Before this movie i didn't know anything about ultraman and i was very sceptical about it like it would be just some power rangers becomes a father kind of weird story, but i still decided to give it a shot and OMG I am so hooked I looked up the origin the history and everything about, Ultraman is awesome how did i just found about it
The problem with Gotham City though is their lack of a death penalty because you'd think the city with the worst criminals around would introduce the death penalty for at least Joker yet they haven't.
This movie was a pleasant surprise! I put it on thinking it'd be average at best, but it was so good. The VAs killed it, and the song at the end was just the icing on the cake. 👏🏼
Im actually so glad you reviewed this movie with your great sense of humour. its a movie alot of people, adults, and kids can enjoy with a compelling story, and great animation. With a rich history of Japanese culture!
