'They are So Fed Up With Islam': Iran Seeing Revolt as Christianity 'Rapidly' Grows

For more than three weeks, hundreds of thousands of Iranians have taken to the streets to protest against the Iranian regime. Some hope this could lead to a change of leadership in the Islamic Republic of Iran. It's also spurring more people to turn to Christianity.
In more than forty cities throughout Iran, citizens are calling for regime change with cries like “death to the dictator” and “our enemy is not America.”
Thousands also blamed the government after a building collapsed in Tehran killing dozens. It’s become a symbol of the failure of the regime. And as it has in the past, the government has sent out its security forces to brutally suppress the protests.

As an Iranian myself, I can confirm that Iranians are completely turning away from Islam. In fact, many of us Iranians believe that Islam is the problem in our country, not just our government and leaders. I myself was born in Iran and my parents were Muslims (following the Shia sect of Islam) and I remember my Mom would wear a hijab every time she went out and even in our own house and not only that, but she even had to cover her arms, legs, neck, and basically her whole body. Iranian women have no freedom or basic human rights whatsoever in our country. I then lived in Iran until I was 4 because my family decided to immigrate to Ireland to work there, and when we started living in Ireland, My mom was no longer covering her hair or her arms, legs, or her body and she’s no longer a practicing Muslim and I also left Islam as soon as I came into this country. I hope one day my beautiful country will be free from our absolutely horrible and corrupt government and leaders and I hope one day, the iranian women can have the freedom they deserve!

Never been to Iran myself, but many friends have been on holiday. They report a beautiful land full of history and magnificent buildings. The people were so friendly and helpful and most spoke English. No one they met spoke favorably of the regime.

I'm not religious so it doesn't really mean anything to me to see Christianity on the rise there but anything that diminishes Islam is to be celebrated. It is heartening to see Iranians cheering "America is not our enemy" too. I'm not American either but it is fantastic to see a people think for themselves and reject the constant cycle of hate that has held them back for so long...

Agree. I started studying Islam and referred to the original Arabic translated version. I was disgusted. Islam is satanic. People listen to what they are told and should read up themselves. Christian Prince and Sam Shamoun are brilliant on RU-vid, and I've learnt loads. Seek the facts and evidence from the original Arabic Qur'an. Not a peaceful religion at all.

I as an American have no hate and disgust for the Iranian people. They are a beautiful and intelligent folk. I believe many of them want the same as me. To worship peacefully without fear of violence, to seek employment that fulfills my social and human needs so that I can care for my family and loved ones. To not have to go to war and be killed or mutilated to satisfy the crazed desires of old men who care not for me and mine. To thrive in a stable economy where prices, costs and money retains it's purchasing power. Yes, a regime change is needed. Let the Iranian people live in peace.

Yesterday I drove 2 hours to meet a woman who moved to Canada from Iran 8 months ago. She is not particularly religious herself but her father is Muslim and she was raised very traditionally. She was so happy I talked about Jesus and she warmed right up to me. She wanted to learn more and she asked me lots of questions. We had a great time. I found this odd as most women run away when they hear the name Jesus. I didn't understand why she was so ecstatic but this video made it make more sense for sure

I'm an Iranian and never accepted Islam. For one, Islam was forced upon us by Arab Muslims that invaded Iran. Second, Islamic laws DO NOT MIX with our culture and traditions. Most Iranians are Muslims by name/force but NOT by choice.

Their book teaches that all nations had 'warners' who came to the people and spoke the warning "IN THEIR LANGUAGE" The Persians in Iran aren't arabs and didn't speak arabic, so by their own admission, their book is not for the people of Iran, it's for arabs.

I had a chat with some secular Iranian friends who told me that there are lots of free thinkers among the young in Iran but it’s hard to come out against the old guard. A friend who visited Iran said it was the friendliest people he met on his round the world trip. Maybe there is hope that one day religion will lose its power over people and we can live with humanist values.
