Still out there. 60yr old guy I worked with bought a 89 White GT, t top brand new. It has 23k miles on it and original plugs, bone stock. He doesn't take care of it at all, he smokes in it, never cleaned interior, rarely washes it. Had no idea of the value. It just sits in his garage. It runs great though, he tossed me the keys a few times (I had a 93 cobra at the time). He lives down the road from my house still so maybe I'll try again to buy it.
@@PuristMotorsports ❤ I was born in 78. My folks paid like $500 for one back in 86. Roughly equivalent to $1500 today. From a door to door salesperson, no less. My last house vac I paid $60 at WalMart. Quality not nearly the same though. Unreal times.
I like silver too, i just painted my 88 LX black i went back and forth on black or silver but settled on black but its really really hard to keep clean, i put a cervini 1.5" hood on mine
Black is gorgeous when it is clean. But it shows everything. I toggle between silver, black and red these days. Blue was my favorite for a long time too.
Thanks! The owner swapped to welds less than a month before I bought it. The guy I bought it from was a great guy. He didn’t do the one piece headlights the second owner did.
I can see that perspective. Cleaner lines. But I think the problem is that the design and quality of the product comes into play for me. They don’t look great and are very cheaply made. Plus, you have to cut connectors off the factory wiring and replace them with cheaper connectors.
@@PuristMotorsports hey could you made a video on what to look out for when buying a fox. Im 24 am I really want a fox but I don’t know too much when it comes to buying one
There's plenty of them out there. They are popping up with the high prices. I got lucky with my 91 Titanium Frost GT with Black Interior with 7 thousand original miles. I tried buying for years. For more then it was worth, it was always no. Then a friend called to let me know the guy was getting divorced and he was looking for me. It was delivered on a trailer that night for alot less then I offered him originally. 1 piece headlights should be a crime!
One piece headlights make me think of Squints in The Sand Lot. These massively ugly large frame glasses on that kid. Just look at the black surround on the one piece in this video and you’ll laugh. So ugly! They are just a cheap option for replacement.
I rent my house, in the garage there is a completely stock 5.0 GT that’s been setting there for, I know 8 years. Looks like the trans has a leak, it just sets there. Owner said he wants to give it to his son, his son is now in his 20s and has ZERO interest in the car. Sad. Edit: those headlights look like a bag of ass. 😂
Bag of ass…. I’m dying laughing. 😂🤣😂🤣😂 I know of a couple of other people who saved cars for their kids and their kids have no interest at all in them.
🤔 I’ll see if I can make one up like that. The shirt replicates the Saleen 5 speed shift knob they used. They can be found here. puristmotorsports.com/shop/
Nice LX, looking forward to seeing that progress. The one true stock part that is probably impossible to find is the air intake ‘silencer’ in the inner fender. Nobody kept that thing.
I have saleen 89-342 still has stock air intake. Also has cobra intake, 24 lb injectors, bullet MAF, ported stock heads, 1.72 roller rockers, cam and full exhaust but stock air intake silencer. 😊
Back in 2002 my brother had a super clean 1993 LX sedan 5.0 5 speed in Silver with black interior. I'm sure that combo is rare as hens teeth. Car looked 100% stock inside and out except for 1993 Cobra wheels...but it had a fully forged 306, heads, cam, long tubes and a Paxton Novi 2000...car was a beast and a total sleeper.
That silver is one I considered but it’s more muted than the 93 because it’s a Titanium Frost and it does look like frost. I bet you’re right, that one has to be a rare combo. And black interior looks killer with silver.
