@RW-xj7bl my brother from another mother! I love “no sale” blue (as they call it the car biz) as well. The 2024 is growing on me in styling too. Looks better in person. It’s more crisp in the edges than the S550 styling.
The regular whale tale Saleen wing doesn’t provide much downforce. The double stack wing is better for downforce at high speed according to a Ford engineer who’s done wind tunnel testing.
After your great video I have a few doubts, were the SA10 heads Edelbrock Performer or GT40 aluminum ? Is the camshaft used in this model a custom camshaft or is it a catalog camshaft ? , Thanks
Saleen sold the Edelbrock Performer and GT40 iron heads at the time. Other SA10’s did get that head. No SA10’s got GT40 aluminum heads. There are SA10’s with GT40 IRON heads. I’m not sure the GT 40 aluminum head had been on the market very long if at all when these cars were ordered by the original owners. The cam in this car is a custom grind but is not Saleen spec. I took liberty with that because I wanted the car to perform a certain way with the engine mods. Pretty sure I mention that in a video somewhere.
That’s what Matt originally wanted to do but when he was looking at this 4 or so years ago there wasn’t anything out there supporting it so he went the coyote route. Stay tuned, I’ll be getting with him for details on the 7.3 that’s now in it. It’s perfect for what he uses the truck for.
Crazy I was thinking of this Saleen just the other day brings back memories when I was a teen remember going to McDonald’s getting the “super size” fries and drink came with the monopoly peel off stickers best give away.. but too bad nobody won it
Make sense why I found out that my mom's 96 Ford E-350 Club Wagon with 351 Windsor have 3 different injectors. I was confused at first and trying to make sure if it was the correct one. I'll probably look out for the connectors when I get to it in 2 weeks. Thanks for the info.
I put one of those "adjustable " regulators on my built 331 and it was junk! Stuck on 52lbs no matter how you adjusted it, had to go with a new stock one
