One of the biggest issues with the western society is people associate everything with politics rather than think morally. For example, people tend to believe anything the right wing or left wing says. Bottom line, NEVER resort to politics. Whenever your unsure about an issue ALWAYS go to God’s Word for an answer.
When it comes to faith and politics ive always held to this; the left hates christians, the right couldnt care less about christians. You definitely cannot resort to that for the truth.
@@lightningleopard8877Stop covering for pedophiles. "I was told" is not evidence. Affirmation from HS, Foreign agencies, video footage, congressional testimonies, and the children saved far outweigh your uninformed self and those who would like to silence this story. God's children are not for sale.
I respect Angel Studios for creating the "pay it forward" campaign. That helped me take 50 low-income, at-risk youth to watch this movie. Many of our teens were moved, and few were in tears. God bless everyone who put this movie together.
@@ev_green_ Yeah… that’s why they are producing top notch Christian movies, tv shows, Bible study resources, and funding free access and 100+ language translations to spread the Christian message worldwide. Lucifer is one sneaky mofo… ruin God’s plan by distributing positive media about God, Jesus, the Bible, and Christianity. Should work out well for Lucifer.
@reborni9127 I understand where your coming from, but this movie was never meant for political propaganda. The movie was made to show how bad child trafficking has gotten and that we can't turn a blind eye to it anymore.
Ive seen the movie twice now. The subject matter it represents shouldn't even be taken as anything political. It's NOT political at all. It's about the absolute horror and hell of the children taken in this world and forced to do unspeakable things. People should rally behind this movie. It was finished 5 years ago and met with all kinds of road blocks. Jim Cavizel said so himself. Hollywood and her minions hate it. Probably because it's a mirror of them.
I don't know that it's a conspiracy why this movie struggled to get air time. I saw another little sleeper movie, it was just a supernatural horror genre movie that took 5 years to get out too. Made before Fox merged w/ Disney, and then caught in the shuffle. "The Empty Man" was the movie and it wasn't important, like this one, in the grand scheme. Just a thing. Sound of Freedom is used as a political movie, probably because the star and one of the producers, Mel Gibson, are black listed in Hollywood. I've seen some of the bad reviews that trash it for weird reasons, trying to associate it w/ Trump and Q, which is weird. Anything can be used for political divide these days.
The reason why these media moguls attack this film is because they're indulging in this vile act themselves. I've been in a training session for work on workplace sexual harassment and what it says in one part is that the people who attack critics of sexual behavior are usually sexual perpetrators themselves.
When I worked at a truck stop we had to watch a video on spotting traffickers and victims. Wild that this is something that gets ignored internationally.
I've also seen a lot of people saying that this actually didn't happen, but if you look up the story, CBS, FOX, and multiple other major networks had covered the story eight years ago.
The movie is embellished just like every other fact based movie, liberties will be taken. That doesn't diminish the fact that this is real and the movie has created awareness. And also the fact that Ballard has been instrumental in saving children.
My only issue is that people seem to fight for the movie to be shown more than actually helping. No, you probably can't take down an entire trafficking ring but so many of us are given opportunities to be there for children in many ways, that can help them avoid becoming a victim or perpetrator. Also, you didn’t need a movie to know what happens. People have been saying it for years, you just needed to read. If you did, you'd understand why persons refuse to show it, if people actually refuse to show it.
My fear is that the hype of this will soon wear away and people will go back to living normal lives forgetting that this happens every day. Possibly even in our own neighborhoods. Some children are trafficked by their parents and no one would know. You can look up Mary Knight. Trafficked by her own parents, well dressed, made good grades, no signs of abuse.
@Courterfly It's exactly that - hype. A lot of people don't actually care about many issues unless it's brought to them through some drama. And once that dies down, their care does as well. So that's why I can't take people bashing these film companies seriously because even these businesses have a lot of the same trafficking information already on their platforms. No one is actually going to do anything, no matter which side of this situation they're on, except be entertained by dramatizations of the truth.
@@soulfire25 While some of that may be true, sometimes well done movies like this spur some people to more action. People generally won't go looking for this information, but well done movies do haunt people. Some will volunteer, some will donate to those that get in and help hands on. Awareness does bring help to worthy causes.
One other movie I recommend is Priceless. It has the same themes of human trafficking and for some reason, I guess because there wasn't any big name actors, it went under the radar
This is a really, really good movie. I watched it thinking it was just a regular action movie, but it ends up being an Action Christian movie, and I was surprised. They should invest more in productions like that instead of only the cringe Kirk Cameron flicks.
@@MeakH1 How is calling children “God’s children” a lie? We are all made in the image of God (Genesis 1:27). We are all His creation (Jeremiah 1:5). Children are a gift FROM God (Psalm 127:3). The line where children are called “God’s children” is “God’s children are not for sale.” In other words “The children God makes and GIFTS to humanity are not for sale.” Unless you are talking about the children of God we become after repenting then I don’t see any issue. Even then I think calling it a lie is just semantics when the meaning is clear since no one is talking about salvation.
I saw Sound of Freedom, twice because it's a really good movie. Jim Caviezel is amazing in this role. I hope everyone goes and sees this Movie. We need to raise awareness on Child SX TRAFFICKING.
It really shows you which side of the isle is ultimately for good that they hate this movie. Like, for goodness sakes, I know most lefties arent on board with the whole "MAP" thing (despite it being the obvious outcome of their standards) but even beyond that to say that a movie that talks about child trafficking and says its bad and be like "nope that's propaganda" thats just awful.
It's sad that the left/right divide is so strong and vitriolic, that a subject like this becomes a political matter. I think part of it is that the star, the real life hero, and Mel Gibson were all involved. They are outspoken Christians and they are all pretty much blacklisted.
@@saintejeannedarc9460 Yeah its really dumb at a certain point. Like cant we just agree on basic things like... Child trafficking is bad. Apparently not.
It has been delayed for 5 years. Democrats and people who traffic tried to shut it down, didn't work. Now employees in movie theaters are setting off fire alarms and making it smell bad to make it where you do not see the movie. Amazing movie! Gods children are not for sale.
4:30 And it reminds me of the story of Moses. Someone who grew up in a comfortable lifestyle as Prince all his life. Then God calls him out of his comfortable life to go back to Egypt (a scary place for him) and go talk to scary people (Pharaoh) in order to save the slaves (Israel). And with Tim Ballard he was ALSO living a comfortable life as he stated in his interview. He lived with his wife and 7 kids and his job pay was decent. But God told him to quit his job and go to Ukraine (scary place: they were dropping bombs at the time). He went and from there God allowed him to meet the main traffickers (scary people) and allowed him save a lot of child slaves.
One Critique: The "God's Children" are not for sale part. God's children are believers. They don't include every single person. It's one of the most common lies that are spilled into Christianity.
@@MeakH1 But God created them, therefore they are his children. It is in a similar way to how a child can get out of contact with their parents. God's children are everyone, the non-believers just hate their Father.
Amen I was driving by a church the other day. Their sign said “you’re a child of God and blessed” Yes we are All made in the image of God but we are NOT all Gods children. You must be born again.
@@TillmanStudios no, there's a difference between being created in God's image vs being his children, his sheep. Brother in Christ, only believers are God's children.
I hate that it’s become normalized to say “minor attracted person” why are children being viewed as sexual objects to be possessed or owned? I absolutely reject that this is normal, I think if someone recognizes their attraction to children they need to address it never act upon it. It hurts my soul.
May we countinue to be the examles of God, by loving Jesus and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us. To show us how to pray, how to be "free". And how to FIGHT.
SoundOfFreedom grossed strong 7M on 5th 3-day weekend at US #BoxOffice. Legs still strong with a -45.3% drop from last weekend! #AngelStudios megahit hits a 163.5M cume in the US, and will beat, #IndianaJonesAndTheDialOfDestiny next weekend! Eyeing a 175M-200M run in the US.
Sadly what they depict in the film is not even close to what is happening to the kids in the real world. It’s 10x worse, truly sad. However it is a call to action. Volunteer, donate, spread awareness.
Just a reminder for those people that somehow think that "minor attracted persons" and pedophilia has become normalized. It's not. Aside from a small fringe group of people nobody really thinks pedophilia is ok. It's strange that anyone would think this is a thing. Pedophilia has not been normalized. Just because a few idiots from the UN tried to pass some stupid law doesn't mean it's normalized.
I got to where the conspiracy theories and political attacks made me not want to hear about the movie anymore. Sad how something that we all should be united in became a right versus left thing (including in this very comment section). I leaned how many FB friends think every single Democrat and famous person is evil. How does that help any child?! Also just not going to put my PTSD through watching it, and apparently that makes me unsaved and an evil person to many people who don’t even know me. I know my heart though and I don’t need to buy an expensive movie ticket to prove myself to anyone.
I would be careful though I did hear about the chosen stuff and some of the cast does support lgbtq and apparently not all the cast is Christian now that I know you can’t control but it should be Godly based if it’s about God 😊 I just know the chosen came from the angel app which this came from the same creators of the chosen I think just trying to help
I have really been on the fence about seeing this movie for many reasons. I don't like Angel studios for one, although I wouldn't necessarily "through the baby out with the bath water" on this. I also am struggling with my own "over sensitization", for lack of a better term, to this issue. A fear years ago I dove maybe a little too deep into the rabbit hole of child trafficking and it was truly horrifying - way beyond what even this movie would bring to light. I am not sure I need to give myself more imagery in such a sensationalized way (if that makes sense). It made me feel helpless for a problem that is so big and so deep. Really all I could do was pray for God to save these children and for his ultimate justice on these wicked people. So the reason I am choosing not to see it right now is not because I don't believe it, but the complete opposite, I know too much for right now.... and what does God want me to do about this knowledge???
@InHimAlone I really understand where you are coming from. I had some of the same hesitations before viewing this film, and have been deeply disturbed by this whole topic of child trafficking. But ultimately I went to see the film because I felt that God called me to see it. I don't think He has necessarily called everyone to see it even though I do believe everyone should be aware of this major worldwide issue. It sounds like you are well acquainted with the horrors of this industry, and I completely understand the feeling of helplessness that can come with the exposure to such evil. But prayer is powerful and does make a difference, and Jesus never asks us to bear things alone. His yoke is easy and His burden is light (Matt. 11:28-30). There is an encouraging article on A Voice For Truth website entitled, "The beauty and burden of the knowledge of evil" from a few years ago that speaks to how we cope with understanding evil in our world. Ultimately, I would encourage you to view the film if you feel His leading to do so. If you don't have the faith to watch it, don't feel condemned in that.
This movie just might have a deeper agenda, y'all should look into the people behind it, and what they believe and what their goals are, they're master manipulaters, playing on your emotions, and if you think this movie is going to make a dent in the sins of the world you are being naive, remember; And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works. 2 Corinthians 11:14-15
“But whoever causes one of these little ones who Believe in Me to Sin, it would be better for him to have a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” Matthew 16:8
@@marcosibarra-contreras4503 tell me, what do you know about Jim Caviezel and the person he plays? What do you know about the money being made and what it will be used for? I guarantee you this movie is going to get many sequels in the future this movie has made over 10 times its budget clocking out right now at 151 million dollars at the box office
@@lightningleopard8877you do realize the operation they pulled in this movie was one of three operations they were running the other one was in Africa in Haiti I believe this is a true story and it's not a lie like the media wants you to believe there's documented evidence of all this😂
@@dominicadrean2160 sadly it’s fake, Tim is a fake, he never saved anyone he’s pulled stunts like this before and the CIA stopped him, and cause of this film he is being investigated again
Ballard’s religious beliefs led him to creating Operation Underground Railroad and saved the lives of dozens of children. Ballard has also written books about his faith and how it influences his conviction to save children. If Tim Ballard’s work introduces people to Mormonism, I’m all for it, Tim’s certainly deserves at least an ear for the work he’s done.
Referencing the title of this video, I’m confused: who was wrong about this movie, and what we’re they wrong about? I just don’t think I’m understanding it in general, although I took it that he was really just talking about the movie and the good of it
Sound of Freedom was fine but my family and I felt that it could be better. We felt that it could use more action scenes because most of the scenes is just talking. Give us some action! My family was also expecting a scene in the movie in which Jim Caviezel's character (and friends) discover that there were some american companies or even celebrities that had been funding peope who kidnap children for child prostitution.
I liked that it didn't have a bunch of action scenes. I was expecting it to be an action movie, and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't. It was high drama and unrelenting suspense, to the point it was uncomfortable. I thought it was very skillfully done.
It's a movie about someone saving children from prostitution; how can it not have any action scenes? It would have been more interesting than watching many shots of Caviezel's eyes shedding tears (one shot is enough already!)@@saintejeannedarc9460
The Mormons and Catholic church who made the movie, are two of the most guilty of what the movie exposes. I'm sure they left those parts out?? while still slipping in their beliefs.?
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) has never been involved in child trafficking whatsoever. They have however promoted Operation Underground Railroad, Tim Ballard’s nonprofit that has saved dozens of children, which he created BECAUSE of his faith in Mormonism in the first place.
Yup :/ good thing I never watch the movie but the movie definitely did brought many awareness to people, but you can trust no one but God only. I already knew about this case before the movie but it’s a shame, Only God knows what they are actually trying to do. No Matter good or evil, God will judge.
honestly in my household if a person hasn't seen the movie or doesn't support it then their sus and they shouldn't be around any children i have or know.
Did you know the director got the main actor to watch a bunch of his personal child prone collection to prep for this movie? Wtf is that? That should be illegal but noooooooo totally fine when the movie industry does it.
