Imagine if Frosty did that 2nd round in the GBB stage!!!

I'm just so happy that robin is finally getting the recognition he deserves. A few years ago id watch him and think "wow this has to be the most underrated looper out there," and here he is at the top of the friggin ladder.

This should be the perfect time to say f*** this shit, whe're doin overtime no matter what the rules are. Cause these rounds aren't comparable, the level and skill is so high but soo different. No one can say who really won this battle. Big fking ups to Robin and Frosty for letting us just enjoy the music of loopstations

I'm in love with Robin's music, i just like to much his style, It's super beautiful, specially his second round. But Frosty also did a super second round, i think Robin will get some extra points in another categories for his efforts through the video idea tho hehe. Anyway, whoever the judges pick i'm gonna be happy because both deserve to get into the semifinals. Big ups to the judges who have to take this difficult decision and big up to you Brez for these amazing analysis who help us to understand better 🙌🏻.

That second round from Robin is the best loop round to date. The atmosphere, the storyline, the setting, the pitch, sound design, everything. You cannot deny how incredible Frosty's round was, but there will never be another round like the one that Robin just produced. Simply magical.

The second round from Robin was one of the most powerful loop track i heard.

if this was live Frosty would have crushed it with that second round, since this is online Robin really took advantage of this set up and created cool visuals, his second round feels like a music video masterpiece, and his comebacks were better. This battle feels like a final, it's extremely close, but the more I listen to the tracks the more I appreciate Robins greatness.

A lot of people hate on frosty for using "3 devices" but they need to realize it's two with a midi controller and he is not breaking rules by doing so. MOM has 3 members and SQUID has 5 members. Both crews aren't breaking any rules. But are we hating on SQUID because they aren't breaking rules but they have an advantage over MOM? No. But how come frosty does? Like Kristof said, more devices doesn't mean u click buttons and sound magically appears, you have to work on the specific sound design for days and weeks. More possibilities but also more possibilities to mess Up! Same with SQUID and MOM! It's easier to mess up with 5 members but also more possibilities with 5. So stop saying " Frosty is basically cheating with 3 devices" it's a really petty argument. Just say you like Robin's style better

While this may not be the best battle of all time (even though it was a good one), it might aswell be the hardest battle ever to judge. My personal opinion: Frosty wins 2-1. One big problem I had with Robin´s 2nd round was the "drop". First of all it felt a bit underwhelming, the other thing is that for me there were so much sounds playing at the same time that the song kinda got a "muddy" sound. You couldn´t hear the single tracks, just a big mashed-up pile of everything. That´s where imo Frosty has the edge on Robin and wins it for me. But hell, I´d be fine with either decision from the judges! Both gave it their all and would deserve to win this.

This is such a close battle. I can't wait to see who wins!! Frosty and Robin both deserve so much love and recognition. They both did amazing. 🌸🌸🌸

i watched all 4 of these as they came out and now that i am watching them on your video again, before any BreZ analyzing, there needs to be 2 categories for looping. only the loop station alone then those with devices.

It was such a great battle and such a clash of styles. One looper gives you the stank face, the other gives you goosebumps. Iconic!!

Normally in battles you can sway one way or the other, there will be a stand out round, an overall performance, something will edge it or make one act stick out beyond the other… But in this battle I genuinely cannot choose a winner. Both where awesome in their own ways, the tracks where brilliant and the level of production was outstanding! 🤷‍♂️

I think Robin's second round might be my favorite loopstation round ever. Seeing his progression with his singing to today is incredible, he may have the best voice in the scene.

Frosty seems to me like mastery of his devices. But Robin is just music I would listen to again and again along with all my other music, looper or not. The musicality is on another level.

It was a very hard match to judge. I’m glad it’s in the kickback battle to be honest because the judges have more time to make their judgment then at a live show. I personally felt like frosty destroyed it the first time I watched the battle, but Robin’s rounds have been echoing in my head all week! They both are great loopers, but Robin is an amazing singer and his voice is too powerful to deny. When you combine that with the amazing video you guys created on the car for the round, it’s really hard to see how Frosty wins. Which is bittersweet, but when two great loopers battle, there has to be a loser.

Man I'm still sweating from both the 2nd rounds man😓 I had the ultimate stank face and goosebumps for frosty and my soul left my body for Robin. It's too close to tell and I'm happy with anyone winning. They both deserve it though, I am going to tip towards frosty just because his 2nd round to me was a little better than Robin's round🥶. Are they using the RC-505 MkII? I miss the days of old where the sounds being made from the RC-505 were more pure to beatboxing. Robin's first round is true to those old days!!! Now it's too mechanical and robotic, just not my cup-o-tea. I'll stick to watching Brez' 2019 set against NME. Shit is AMAZING

One of the neatest things about Robin’s second round is the way that a three-bar phrase affects the listener. In a world of four-bar phrases, having a loop of three bars constantly causes the listener to feel like there’s no real end to it. When you expect the fourth bar to be the end, and instead it is the beginning again, you make the listener conform to the musician’s idea instead of the musician fulfilling the listener’s expectations. The result of this in Robin’s round was a sonic landscape that built and built and built again, always just continuing onwards, with no need to drop like an edm track. He never lets the listeners off the hook, because the hook never resolves as they expect. And then as he kept adding new layers, new alterations, new sounds, he swept his audience into a holistic experience that dismissed their expectations for something far better. A (literal) musical journey that left everyone longing to sit in the splendour a bit longer. Well done Robin. And well done filming, BreZ.
