People are saying the dashcam guy could have showed restraint but what the occupants of the other car did after they saw a woman or kids in the car, did they show any restraint??
Especially Bangalore Mysore Road at night. At night bunch of young guys think like and become a hero soon after they have a few pegs of drinks and start driving.
This is a perfect example of choosing your battles. He had a wife and kid in the car , there was no need for a confrontation. He had proof on the dashcam. Even though he wasn't in the wrong, he put himself and his family in unnecessary danger , DONT BE THIS GUY.
Honestly, even with no family in the car, it's better not to be this guy and fight with roadside thugs. Middle class working people have more to lose than these losers.

Confronting while on the road or in shoulder won't help even if you are on the right. It will just make things worse and could lead to unwanted road rage accidents and killings.
Kudos to the POV Car driver. Maybe the POV car driver could have avoided this confrontation. But because of this confrontation, those miscreants were caught by the police. They will think twice before engaging in road rage with someone else.
do you danger your wife and kids just to let miscreants to be caught?? India has 141 cr population, there may be crores of these miscreants, how many will you teach lesson? It is most stupid decision of owner. India is a place where people shot people just because they overtake their car. If something happened to his kids during fight, he has nothing but to regret his whole life.
Lesson learnt. The driver had very strong confidence. He is most likely a local businesses man or retired police man. Not like the non local "rich people". The local goons will not even touch his wife and kid. They jolly well know what would happen to them.
Simply he could have remained calm and not reacted adversely like this. This breaking and damaging could have been very easily avoide. He seems egoistic and senseless.that is also recorded by the dashcam😅
Both were in the wrong. First up , the other driving failing to give way then the dashcam driver for slowing and escalating the situation. Everything went down hill from then. I've had crazy people trying to smash my window just for being there (race thing) even though I was entitled to be there . I've seen drivers losing it because they crashed into a car.. i.e. Wet weather, slow moving traffic, not paying attention and they rear end the car. They then get out full of rage (angry at themself but projecting the rage onto the other driver), start hitting the other car trying to intimidate him, punching windows, kicking door panels in. I had a guy chasing my motorcycle down because I looked at him. The reason I looked at him (from the other lane and behind his car still) was because he couldn't keep his lane and I wanted to make sure I could pass safely without being crashed in to. Of course he was texting on his phone and took offence that I looked at him then chased me down to no doubt to run me over. I accelerated out of the way and changed lanes between 2 cars so he'd have to crash those cars to get me. I even had a taxi driver threatening me, hitting my window and carrying on because I was parked in (against a wall and another vehicle who had parked me in). I was about 10 - 20 cm into the pump lane (parallel to it so basically my mirror was just poking out). Of course those lanes are super wide. You could have still driven a full size truck through there easily. In fact, his car was 1.7 metres wide (mirror tip to mirror tip) and the lane width was at least 3 metres (probably 4 metres). This means he had at least 1.3 metres of space or 65 cm on each side. After all the threats, banging, yelling and cussing, he got back into his taxi and drove away (straight past me). Still to this day I wonder how he got triggered . After all, I couldn't help it. I was leaving until the car came in and drove way past the pump and parked up against me. Were they working together ? Strangely enough, the same taxi driver also got out of his car upset at an intersection about 6 months later and was upset that I wasn't blocking the intersection. I explained to him that when the intersection clears, I will be going. This is the law anyway. You can't legally enter / block an intersection if it is not clear to go through to the other side (regardless of what the lights show) With numerous unstable people out there, it is best not to escalate situations because you never know how crazy the other person is. Ps Don't advertise that you have a dashcam. My car is loaded up with cameras but I don't point it out . Better to remain calm, try to de-escalate and let them dig their own hole. In court later it works for you.
Thank you for sharing your experience about road rage incidents. I myself get triggered on the road when somebody unnecessarily honks or flashes light repeatedly.
There is no guarantee that defensive driving would have helped. He stopped at a gas station not in the middle of nowhere or an isolated spot. Also, if you are gonna be so scared even after following the rules then you'll be running away and hiding all your life.

My suggestion here also don't pick the fight with anybody, its not worth. How far you will keep on doing lessons to society and its always at the cost of your time, money and peace. Some time it becomes important to go inside yourself rather than going outside and making world better.
I think it was bad decision to let him go Not just compensation put that white car guy behind bars due to dash cam all this incident was caught on and so that he had proof imagine if there was no dashcam and if this things happens then this people will be the same to others

Appreciate the cops for taking action in just a few hours. Clearly the mistake was of the people in White XUV 300. And causing physical damage to the vehicle when there's an infant is unacceptable and needs to be punished so that they wouldn't repeat this.
It is obviously XUV300 driver's fault for trying to squeeze into the lane, but the dashcam driver could have avoided confrontation with those guys. He had a dash cam, family in the car, but too much ego nearly cost him
Well, the dashcam guy did not stop the XUV300 to begin with. He was minding his business and continued driving to where he was headed but hey BLOCKED his car - so then what choice did he have? If the XUV300 guys were in so much of a hurry (like you r claiming) then why did they stop their car n get into all this unnecessary tussle. They wasted more time. Probably because it's them (XUV) who have the ego problem or worse - they were high.
Normally after a heated events, its best to keep driving and in time most often the agitated group calms down. Unless you can defend yourself and your vehicle, there is no point in stopping and arguing. Know what you can and cannot do.
This is the dumbest thing to do. When you are travelling with family, don’t make them suffer along with you. That’s why I control my rage when my mom and dad are there with me. This was an absolute stupid move. What if his family were injured

You never shy away from a situation when you are in the right and you don't get to judge a person's actions without being in his shoes. 0:14 All these could have been totally avoided if Cam Driver just gave way in the first place. The other car even bother to signal left. But Cam Driver had too much ego. With your family in car - always think safety first. You never know who you dealing with from the other car. And you will regret that for the rest of your life.
Better not to indulge with road rage, especially in highways since safety is much more important than emotion. I seriously think to install a dash cam on my car after witnessing such incidents. I may be involved in few road rages when I initially started driving a car. God has given me a maturity, and I never care about the words or action passed on the road. Our country should legislate a strong law against these violence.
Avoiding such situations is better when we are with family .....never argue with fools, they will bring you down to their level and beat you with their skills ...😂
It must have been a pain to pay after the case has been filed. Somepeople need to shell out money and then learn the lesson. However while family is with us or not it is always safe to avoid confrontations. There are limitless people on the road who have high ego and avoiding risk altogether is the best thing to do. Teaching them a lesson can be costly sometimes.

This clearly shows that road ragers will rage against anyone. All those haters of Bangalore who make it all about language issues do that because they hate Bangalore and they look down upon the demand to learn Kannada. They very well know it's not about language exactly. It's about people's ego and temper issues. Road ragers across India are the same - Bangalore is no different. Language is just an excuse for both haters of Bangalore and some locals to drive this us vs them narrative. Address the root cause of road rage across the country by bringing on tough laws. Don't use these incidents to create a sympathy card about being victims of languages chauvinism.

I feel the dashcam owner started this by forcing in to the right lane and cutting off the XUV at the start of the video and that was the trigger point. The dashcam owner has smartly edited that out.
Police require full unedited video to enquire and then come to a decision. They definitely would have watched the original video and not just the shared clip. Moreover the dashcam owner would not be a fool to submit a complaint with the police if there is a mistake on his side which leads to the confrontation.
