The joint between the back and the seat was not robust enough, a large person leaning back, or a teen trying to stand on top of the backrest, or even getting knocked over onto its back by a mower, likely overcame the thin wood joint that failed.

You are far more charitable than I could ever hope to be. Not in the making of the bench, because I do appreciate the sentiment of what you are doing, but for not having anger in your heart towards those who would destroy something that's not theirs and was freely given out of a generous spirit. I was a police officer for 20 years and always felt (and still do) those who would steal, rob, or destroy another's property deserve a special kind of retribution. I do not (cannot?) feel as generous towards them as you apparently do, which truly makes you a far better person than me. Cheers, and good luck with this latest iteration.

I wonder what the people that did this would think if we walked into their homes and started breaking their stuff? Thank you for being someone that builds things rather than tearing them down Laura. If everyone took this kind of attitude to their surroundings the world would be a happier place. Keep doing what you're doing!

Such people dont know the value of work as they have never done anything by themselves. They received everything for free, from parents, from society, they are just useles bunch of loosers.

Wow, what a beautiful bench!!! Congrats on the result, and attitude!!! But man oh man, was I drooling over your workshop or what! All those awesome tools, the multicar and even the nice and straight pallet wood and scrap metal.

Thanks for being a great inspiration! I’m impressed by what you are able to achieve without spending a lot of money, for this and other projects. A big applause to you 👏

Watching because someone just broke the bench I built for my city’s beach volleyball courts... Your replacement is an inspiration!

I love this version. I loved the all wood version but this one more. 😁 Here's hoping this one lasts a long time. 🤞 Really enjoyed seeing everyone using it too. Great work, Laura. Until next time.
