Hey TCNick3, I'm one of the guys who worked on the mod. The thing with gliding (including Up-B) is that it works exactly the same as it did in Brawl. You need to aim downwards first as the longer you descend, the more speed you build up that allows you to pitch up and ascend for longer. Do not up aim upwards straight away. Granted it takes practice and getting used to but it has insane recovery when you master it.

The biggest issue with Brawl Meta Knight is that there aren’t any bad inputs. While the skill ceiling is very high, mashing anything besides his jab is better than half of the cast in Brawl. It’s not that it doesn’t have skill involved, it’s that the skill was optional.

as a brawl vet, seeing you use the up B glide so un-optimally ( he can actually fly high for DAYS ) has hurt my soul to a level i didn't know was possible. i love it but i hate it. seeing my Main come back is so... beautiful.

This reminds me of an idea I had a while back: A smash game where you can pick which game's mechanics you use. So you can queue up with a smash 4 mechanics bayo, or a melee fox. Possibly even combos that don't actually exist, like a brawl little mac (for some reason). It would be a nightmare to make work, but it could be so fun if they figured out a way to make it playable.

The trick to going higher when recovering is using reverse up b. He'll grap the ledge at the height of it if you do it that way.

Glide happens if the jump button is held after the last jump. Nick wasn't counting, just mashing jump, lol

I laughed so hard when you said « This move is better than Little Mac entire character » 🤣 Also, I was (and still am) a Meta-Knight main in Brawl (don’t hit me please) so I noticed some things that made you loose : First, the Up-B has insane recovery if you aim downward first, THEN you have to aim upward to go super high. If you aim upward first, you’re just gonna fall really quickly. Also the Up-B is a really good out of shield option and a great combo finisher. Second, you didn’t really use Meta-Knight Nair while it’s one of his most powerful attack that can make more than 20% if I remember correctly. Third, Meta-Knight is good for planking (ledge stalling) and scrooging (gliding under the stage to go to the other side and take your opponent backward) so you should use that more (sure, it’s not really honourable but when you want to win, you have to do everything 😅) and Fourth, killing people off-stage is really easy because nobody can challenge Meta-Knight in the air and doing ladders combos with Meta-Knight is so easy because of his super fast Up-Air (did you know that Meta-Knight can do THREE Up-Airs in a short jump ? That’s crazy 😂) Here, sorry for making a super long message, now I probably sounds like a nerd 😅 Also, sorry if there’s some mistakes, English is not my first language.
