This is really sick. I know that these sort of mods kind of “take over” a character in the roster instead of there literally being a new portrait there. Id love to see more of this sort of thing with great modders to create characters that feel smash-like.

If I remember correctly, Sakurai mentioned that he initially wanted to add Alucard into Smash, but Simon and Richter were a more iconic CastleVania Rep so he made Alucard an Assist Trophy instead.

And wouldn't you know it, the day you post this a HUGE Alucard patch dropped! New down smash, total rebalance overhaul, more stability, and other cool things! Full costume slots are in the near future too! Y'all should show your support to C# and try him out! :)

So, just want to point out that Alucard's up-special isn't JUST bat transformation. It's "Wing Smash", specifically, which is amazing. The best movement in SotN is his recovery move, AND it is powerful, like the original game. I fking love this mod lol

As a massive, MASSIVE Castlevania fan, I cannot overstate how much I love this.

Ok wow. We've all seen full character mods for older Smash games but the quality of this one is just insane. The amount of polish that went into this legit makes him feel like an official character. Props to the creator/s

Really sweet character. I know they are never going to do it but I wish there was an official "workshop" like there is for many steam games.

Looks like a pretty decently designed character. The special gimmick mode lets him heal, but it takes a while to get there and it doesn’t heal that much. Has decent ledge trapping options and a medium combo game. Solid character imo.

If I could make one minor tweak to Alucard's animations, I'd have his Neutral special see him bring his hand and cape close before sweeping back to release the fireballs. This change would allow the player to see his attack is coming out a bit more easily. Adding that startup pose would also let the arm sweeping back be more dramatic and give a touch more visual flair while keeping the start-up time the same.

This is one of the best character mods I’ve seen, even considered ones outside of ultimate

This is pretty nice, considering it seems most everything is existing move data All this really needs is a bit of polishing and it'll be like he was in the game from the start!

This has to be the most truly polished mod character I think ever made outside of PM of course. It’s usually immediately obvious in both gameplay and visual aspects when a character wasn’t made by the actual devs. But Alucard, while not perfect, is almost pretty convincing.

i know they reused alot of moves and stuff that are ingame but it still looks sick

Stage: I guess if there is a Castlevania Stage, I think I won't mind a burning Village similar to Rondo of Blood, it will be a traveling stage where the stage will move from different parts of the Village and some parts of Dracula's Castle. Alucard's Classic Mode Route: Dark Imitation, I think this Classic Mode Route will have Alucard fight Characters that uses Powers similar to his father, Dracula. Complete with the Dracula Boss fight after the Penultimate fight with Ritcher as a nod to his fight in SOTN. Alucard's Boxing Ring Title: Son of Dracula. As a nod to Alucard being Dracula's son. The Manipulative Rebel is also a nice alternative as it will Reference his fight in Castlevania 3. Music: I'll say 5 to 8 Tracks which will add to the Dracula's Castle Stage. ● Festival of Servants ● Dark Ballad ● Darkness of Fear (Castlevania Judgment) ● Opus 13 (New Remix) ● Moon Fight (New Remix) ● Moonlight Temptation (Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon) ● Silent Howling (Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night) ● The Normal Boss Battle music (Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2)

I have some ideas for the character. Give him an mp bar like hero, replace his down special with his wolf form (drains mana while in it), complete with different attacks, weight etc. Give him two options for his recovery, one by tapping which could be his bat form and cost no mana and the other by holding B for his mist form (slow and heavy mana cost but you're invincible to everything) also give him some of his inputs for his old spells like his teleport (can't use in the air) and something like tetra spirit. The familiars can just show up for his 3 taunts like an easter egg. These are just some ideas, at the moment he seems a little more like an echo to the Belmonts. He still did some great work though :D

This is actually so cool, obviously there’s the danger of people creating overpowered characters but I love the idea of creating new characters Keep up the great work guys and thanks to the mod creator!

They balanced him really well, he does not feel like a mod character.

Now all we need is for this level of new characters in the HDR mechanics and we got a truely new competitive PM scene

This mod is awesome! Seeing it makes me want to make my own character mod. I hope I can find out how.

The day that "Standard Smash Ultimate" dies I hope to see this kind of "New Ultimate" scene redefine Ultimate as a game, many modders making new characters/stages/mechanics and rebuilding the roaster for tournaments, friend groups, locals and so much more.

Finally. Alucard would be such a cool character to be playable in Smash Bros. Not only is he a very versatile fighter in the games he has appeared in. It would be really cool if he became a full fighter in the next smash game.

He looks a little strong But all DLC characters look strong at first glance just to find out they aren’t as bad as anyone first thought

So this is amazing and i understand most of the moves but some you couldnt really change like down air or down special cause you have to pick a base character which was probably richter so they could change the down air or down special or maybe that was intentional either way the mod is really cool

Hm, to be more specific, according to the FAQs on their page, it looks like Alucard takes over Richter's slot, while putting some of Richter's slots on Simon, like Olimar/Alph, which actually makes a TON of sense, considering they are basically identical. Not a completely newly added character, but works perfectly for this set

I would love to see more assist trophies be turned into playable characters like Krystal and Gray Fox.

I know most of his moveset is taken out of several characters, even reusing several attacks from the Belmonts, but it looks nice enough.

The only problem with this mod is that the vanilla holy water is Alucard accurated while this new one is Belmont accurated. Aside from that (and the english dub that is not from Robert Belgrades).. this is amazing!

the particles and visual effects are sick. although my favourite game with these custom characters is trying to figure out which move comes from which character just from gameplay xD no wonder VyQ felt at home in the beginning , this alucard has joker's jump and air mobility ;_;

Look no further than Rivals for sick mods. If smash could have as many popular mods as Rivals in the future that would be sick

I wish they gave Alucard command inputs just like in SoTN. Like Summon Spirit or Tetra Spirit.

Dude i'm just imagining like 4 or 5 years from now if the ultimate modding community continues and assuming nintendo doesn't find a way to ruin this fun... Imagine the possibilities for basically a new Project M through Ultimate. That would just be insane

This mod looks great! It would be a pretty cool detail if he could transform into a wolf if you do up B on stage horizontally.

This is how you add new characters to Smash if they have to replace another character. Just make it go over one of the echoes with barely any differences and just make them an alt of their base character.

Can somebody perhaps make one for Rollan from Spectrobes? Rollan will be a puppet like fighter that is akin to Rosalina and Mega Man mixed together. Neutral Air would be an exploding bullet. It would travel downward in the shape of an arc. It is slow and has short range but it has high knock back. Forward Air would be a forward sword slash. Similar to Lucina’s in many ways but has a key difference. It is slower and has more ending lag but in return it has higher knock back that is akin to Robin’s Levin Sword but slightly weaker. Down Air would use his Stun Gauntlet. It is a generic spiking down air that akin to the Mii Brawler just far weaker. It is faster by two frames and has a larger hit box than the Miis. It doesn’t spike until around 110% on middle weights. Up Air would be a uppercut that is the same as Ryu and Ken’s. Up B would be a Jetpack that is akin to Diddy Kong’s. If you charge it you can go further but if you get hit with enough force while using it you will fall off. The Jetpack will not be able to be used as an attack. Down B would be a Stun Gauntlet Ground Slam. Rollan punches the ground with the stun gauntlet in order to stun his target. It stuns for the same amount of times as ZSS’s down smash does but for every 50% of damage on the target it goes slightly longer but caps out at 200%. It doesn’t do any damage but comes out at 8 frames and ends on the 10th frame. It also covers a small area around Rollan. Neutral B would be an Energy Bullet. Same move as Mega Mans except it doesn’t flinch the target and is slightly move powerful. You can fire 4 at a time. Side B is where things get fun. Spectrobe Call Angle it upwards and you get a Komanoto. It lunges forward to slam the opponent into the ground. Basically downward knock back but doesn’t spike. Angle it downwards and you get a Spiken. It does an upward tail swing that knocks the opponent into the air. Doesn’t kill until 150% on middle weights. If you don’t angle it you won’t get a Spectrobe call but instead a call from Jeana. Think of it like a taunt. I came up with these myself.

In the matchup of Alucard vs. Sephiroth I honestly thought it was a ditto until Sephiroth used his counter.

I dont think hes that broken considering that his projectiles are mostly for long range damage snipes instead of kill moves. Kinda like pit arrows but with less knockback. Plus hes a big body, meaning easier to hit, plus has a gimp able recovery like fox. Plus it seems like a lot of his neutrals are a few frames too slow to string together, although I may be wrong One of the best mods I've seen, seems like an actual character and wasnt too over powered like Ronald McDonald

It's a slight shame that one of Alucard's balancing factors is that he has a punishable recovery. Vampires should be hard to kill; that's one of their main powers.
