the thing is- in retrospect, marriage was a concept created BY men, FOR men. and the reason they have started to fail is, you guessed it- because of feminism. women simply don't want to be seen as a means of utility to their families, or a burden that the family needs to get rid of by marrying off to some stranger. women have started demanding freedom and it is this freedom that is leading to the downfall of the concept of heterosexual marriage. i am, of course in no way trying to demean feminism or liberalism, especially since i consider myself to be a part of both. i'm merely pointing out at the factors why a traditional marriage is no longer something you can simply expect of women in this era. this newfound sense of freedom and realization is what cis men have started to hate upon by calling it woke. while everything is good in moderation, things will certainly take a turn for the worst when conflict between individual opinions arise. the only way to tackle it is by accepting the changing times and take proactive measures to ensure things don't get out of hands.
