Rhyme: You have to get real creative with your decks Decks that still demolish really well with 1 copies like Branded, Kash, Snake Eyes, Tear, And Scareclaw: Allow us to introduce ourselves
@@rhymestyle yeah cause you play snake-eyes/Kashtira, like most players. I played a gate guardian/time lord cause I actually wanted to try being original and not copy paste top decks for the event
I just played R-Ace and it's crazy how consistent that deck still is with everything at 1. They just got so many starters and searchers that it's almost guaranteed to get at least to turbulence and set 4.
This festival was worse than I imagined. I played the first I you could see people playing different cards. This was "one card combo the festival". Kash/tears/snake
I love this event. I was running a version of your spellcaster deck from the last limit one festival without the Shaddolls (because they're URs) and it worked pretty well
I love this event. I was testing out different varieties with Aleister after watching you do a vid on this last festival and I’m having a lot of fun with it. Plus I never know what deck combos I’ll see. Glad to see it back 💯
I played a Dark Magician/Spellbook/Diabellstar deck and I've won all the gems possible. Great for searching and drawing. So happy they brought the Limit One Festival back.
Rhyme forgetting he sent brain control out of his Opponent's hand 5 seconds after he did so and then went on talking about brain control was hilarious 🤣
If you use the Special summon effect for riseheart, THAT is what locks you into xyz; normal summoning it and using its level mod effect does not, surprisingly
Awesome video Rhyme as always also Labrynth is still actually very playable because Labrynth is my Main deck I use in Ranked and IRL I Had completed the whole event in 2 nights. My win rate was like 90%
I've been running a Branded deck for this event. My main Branded deck already uses just 1 copy of most everything. Shuffling Albaz back into the deck and using cards like Kitt and Recursion to retrieve Branded Fusion makes this a fun event for me.
This event was fun. Most players used loaner decks, that basicaly have all those powerfull monsters hehe. I played Generaider/Nordic with some staples and other cards. Won most of them. Had fun :D Thanks for the video Rhyme.
I played Snake Eye Horus and it worked out great for me, I was playing against mostly tearlaments but most of my matches turned out actually kinda fun back and forths.
I was playing the new Horus cards in this event. Between Imsety, the field card, and gold Sarc itself, you are essentially playing 3 gold sarc. Couple that with 1 of each four monster and it’s really easy to get a quick otk
Some people are complaining about this event but I also had a lot of fun building my deck. It’s not necessarily unique but it was cool building a deck of one offs that work well together building an impressive end board. My tear with level 7’s (some kash and other lvl 7 cards that can special summon easy) usually ends up in an tomahawk into auroradon combo, and even through the (optional) mills I could get combo pieces back with the ishizu cards. Not surprised that good meta cards win games, and it’s still really interesting to come up with combo lines. I get people would’ve rather seen more variety, but even a normal and rare event would be dominated by some cards which is how card games work.
I'm liking the event so far despite the meta decks though I've just been running an abomination of Bujin and Fire Formation with some addons I thought would work while being half asleep. Im gonna try to work in Glad Beats and see how it goes. Good stuff as usual Rhyme.
Im playing Bystial, Snake Eye, Horus. Really enjoy how it felt. Going full SE combo and then just shotgunning Imsety and making extra negates and pops feels so powerful.
Bro I have the same Nico Robin figurine from the beginning of the video!! lmao It's next to my monitor so I tripped balls thinking you grabbed it from me!!
As a tear enjoyer, this event was ours to claim, we've lived so long with so many limits that we're used to everything being limited to 1. Also tear has so many variations, pure, synchro, horus, branded, snake-eyes, with limit 1 you could tech them all.
I am playing an Amazoness deck. I have to consider my options with the deck and combos but I have won a few duels. I havent been playing as often as I used to
Ended up playing the Visas loaner, since I'd have been running a variation of it anyway. Worked pretty well going first but it definitely felt more like a going second deck thanks to Prime/Kaleido Heart and Vicious Astraloud. If anything it made me want to add a Visas/Vicious package to my normal Tear deck
I've been playing vanquish using every card I normally wouldn't use with technically a bigger Kash package but I just added the cards I wouldn't play in it like Birth been alot of fun and knowing u only have 1 of each of your good cards really makes u think how much u commit , best thing is watching a tear player quick cuz I stop 1 play the rest of they had a whole brick lol
I played a mikanko/live twin mix. Plenty of brick opening hands but i cleared the event. Every oponent was either playing the tearlaments+kash precon deck or a combo or horus and snake eyes.
Pretty fun event. I ran snake eyes, rescue ace kashtira with some bystials to deal with tear. Usually an easy win going first and decent at breaking a board and setting up for the following turn.
And here I am, new to Master Duel and using the third deck that you can choose for this event, the Visas Starfrost one. Sometimes I don't even know what I'm doing when I play with that, the only thing I know is that Tri-heart has given me a few wins lol
Glad to hear ur enjoying the game more now both modern and OG, but with that being said, pls dont slowly transition into those toxic creators that thinks its objectively wrong to dislike the modern meta bcz we can all agree that the game state is much different and much faster and more choatic than what it was when some of us were introduced to it and thats just the thing, it isnt the game we fell in love with anymore plain and simple, some can adapt to the change others cant, i did to a lesser degree, but i can TOTALLY see where those who dropped it are coming from and 100% prefer OG to anything modern yugioh can present to us.
I only joined MD recently, and I always heard people saying the limit 1 was the worst event they ever had. I didn't get why, I thought it'd be fun to ower the strength of strong decks... but what I didn't realize was that it meant multiple decks with multiple 1-card starters can be ran together, and your hand traps are also limited.
I think the event is good but at first when i was trying Loaner Decks i was miserable, i couldn't win (Skill issue i know since was learning as i go) but then when i went to my Water Xyz Deck, i had fun and completed the event in one day as far as free gems goes. I'm looking forward to the Xyz Event more to try Memento Loaner and if i've had enough, i can go back to my Water Xyz deck but without the limit. That being said, the free gems are really nice and got my 2nd and 3rd Salamangreat Structure Deck for example (still missing other cards but it's a good start).
I like the branded and visas lore, im almost done making a deck for each story, but my favorite deck to play is Madolche. I dont really know why though.
played against someone running melfy and superheavy samurai, bro had 40 unique cards and still saw his whole deck & set up multiple synchro negates which was crazy. it was a L but it felt good to resolve a Lightning storm and a bunch of monsters actually stay dead lmao.
I've been using Nouvelle, Djinn, and near full Adventurer. I lost only twice after getting all the gems on the reward track. One of the times was a brick, the other time was DPE.
I play a Horus/Horus of the black flame/Winged dragon of Ra. It's... Interesting to say the least, most of the card i will discard can be special summon from the grave, get back in my hand or search a card. Not always consistent but work pretty well all things considered.
Was running a DM/Exodia deck ran into a seto deck and pharaoh deck and we had a fun match but definitely noticing kash/tear decks running wild still one of my favorite events
I grinded through the event with my Magistus Witchcrafter with Aleister as support. Zoroa kinda solos when people can't read. Now I'm on my Artorigus/Adventure deck, which made me realize infernoble knights are still basically full power. I mean, I only run the main deck infernoble cards at one in my actual Artorigus/Adventure deck.
i've been running a half-assed blue eyes deck and having a decent amount of luck with it still getting top decked by imperms turn 1 but that's just the way it goes
I was playing this event day one and there was a lot of manga decks and premade decks for like a good 4 hours. I built a snake-eyes deck by like hour 7 cause I got all the gems and tried it with kash in a limit one deck. After I got in with snake-eyes it became a war zone for no reason.
lol I played a Zombie pile (Vampire/Shiranui/Eldlich) and cleaned house. got all the way to 11k. it's actually been pretty fun! only ran into 2 or 3 Snake-Eyes piles where I could do nothing even when I had plays. also one of the loaners was a Visas Starfrost pile, so that's probably why you saw Tear/Kash all the time.
