The Blues and Royals and LifeGuards are (combined) the oldest regiments in the British Army. Try googling Household Cavalry uniforms, and take your pick lol

It seems to me, I hope I'm wrong, but schools don't seem to be teaching students about WWII. I once had a discussion with a lad who didn't believe that WWII and the genocide and Anschutz were real. I gave him a lesson. Told him to take a trip to Pearl Harbor, visit a WWII museum, talk to WWII VETERANS at nursing homes, VA hospitals, and places like that, it made him think. Whether he did or not, I don't know.

I have seen several occasions of the same religious group being disrespectful.. The woman who threw her glove at a Guard really angered me. I am wondering what the problem is? As mentioned, many gave their lives. Gratitude not expected but some respect would be nice.

I feel the same way when I see groups from that particular religious order, as there has never been any sort of respect or manners towards Horse Guards as a historic military site and the Troopers working there.

They did much better today..maybe a different community? There has to be more than one sect in London. They did not heckle ..they were more interested in the actual long guard ceremonial change over. Which is amazing to observe.

I've followed the Royal Family all of my life. Recently, I've been watching & reading more on the history & military, etc., which led me to this channel. Anything & everything that goes on there, we were glued to the tv growing up. Now it's social media, but we all shed tears with the passing of Queen Elizabeth, she'll always be "Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth," in my eyes. Right, back on topic... Growing up in the southern U.S. I was raised with proper etiquette as well. I thought at the bare minimum everyone did their homework prior to visiting a foreign place to see what's acceptable & what is not. I was wrong! Who doesn't read up on the places they're going to visit?! With London being a melting pot of various cultures & different languages I honestly think it just has to be culturally based. What you & I may find proper may be offensive to those in certain countries & vice versa. I just have a hard time believing anything else bc there's such a large amount of people who are lacking basic common courtesy & good manners! People mistake the ceremonial garments as some sort of attraction, like that of a character at Disney World or something. Invading spaces, crossing boundaries, not following rules, not stopping when asked, touching the gaurds!! How would they feel if strangers just walked right up beside them, flipping hair in their face & leaning on them while taking a photo! The list is never ending!

Can you please clarify exactly what "offensive" behavior to which you refer? I watched the video, and I saw some people obviously not familiar with horses who were delighted and fascinated to be near such large and beautiful creatures. I saw a lot of other ethnicities be more offensive to the horses, moving right in on them. Why are you singling out the Chassidim?

From what I have heard Hasidic Jews, which is what these disrespectful ones usually are, unlike most others of Jewish faith, refuse to do any military service, and they supposedly don't pay any taxes, that they refuse to. Seems to me, if all others do, they shouldn't be exempt. But I can bet if its true, they gain something from it, like military protection, and money from their government. With all that have died from Hamas attack, its not fair as well.

This groups transgression was in the second video of the morning where they were mocking the Troopers and being VERY loud in the yard even after being asked by the police to tone it down. Also these aren’t the first of this group to do the same sorts of things. I’ve seen a large crowd(20 or 30 individuals) of them pushing right up to the gatesman(this is the trooper who is in the arches on the opposite side from the stable entry, right into the chain, ignoring being told to back off, all staring at him like an exhibit at the zoo and encouraging the children with them to do the same. I have seen them not once, but multiple times, enter the area under the arches, giggling like idiots when they were shouted at. I have seen a woman, throw her glove onto the ground in front of one of the foot troopers and expected him to pick it up for her. I have seen them being yelled at to get out of the way(troopers have right of way….this is a barracks after all) and then “marching” behind the trooper to mock him……and that’s just the incidents I’ve seen and the ones I can recall off the top of my head. Surely you can see that that behaviour isn’t acceptable and is terribly disrespectful? I have no problem respecting the beliefs and traditions of others but in turn, others should do the same in return.

My best friend, sadly no longer with us, was Jewish, and was born in an area of Manchester with a large Jewish community Pauline. Her half-brother is an Israeli Jew, and has visited her on many occasions. Every member of her family, and all the many other Jews I have met over the years, have been delightful people, very warm and friendly...and generous. I mention this because the Hasidic Jews in Manchester keep themselves to themselves in much the same way as the Amish in America. According to my friend and her parents, they are not well-liked by other Jews, mainly because they look down on them as well as on us Gentiles. The strong belief that they are "the chosen ones" doesn't help their image, nor does the fact they are exempt from military service in Israel. My only contact with them personally was in a hospital waiting room, where a young couple had walked in and demanded to be seen immediately. They flatly refused to accept that they should have to wait with the rest of us, and they made such a fuss that they were allowed to wait in an unused examination room, and then seen out of turn to get rid of them. They didn't exactly endear themselves to those of us who had been waiting well over an hour by this time. They made it quite clear that they wouldn't have even come to the hospital had it not been for the fact that their own, Jewish Hospital, has closed down. Their arrogance is what puts many people off them.

Yes SPARTA that we met the other day has a “C” shaped star & two small white socks on his back legs. Definitely not Sparta, i with they had them on their nose bands!! Would be really nice for the tourists too. Maybe we need to all sign a petition & send it to the King requesting name tags!! They could even hang a little name plaque under the sign saying “Horse on Duties name is….” 😂

@barryeva9186 The horses are exercised every day at several locations throughout London at several locations. Twice every year the horses take a holiday/vacation. They are taken ( along with the Kings Guard members )to the countryside, they can roll in mud,gallop,eat grass & do exactly as they please. On their return they do a short refresher course before they resume duties. Those horses are treated like royalty themselves ! ( Look on Google it has lots more info)

Why on earth would you put law enforcement onto cruiser bikes instead of performance bikes? Harleys are all very well but they’re not made for manoeuvrability or speed, they’re made for long haul cruising at a steady speed. BMW has honed their bikes in competition for both speed and agility(having said that, it’s a bit limited on police bikes due to weight and the amount they carry but they’re a lot nippier than they look) sorry John, I know this isn’t HorseGuards but I’m a motorcyclist from way back as well as a horse person lol.

@@paulinemegson8519 some Harley have some maneuvers to do that’s why there is class to teach police to ride them ! Harley are very heavy and bulky and it’s the only thing our police are using! Instead of BMW bikes !
