So hear me out, I am the person behind that sweet old lady and here is some background. Her name Is Niki and I aspire to be like her when I grow up. I met her at that concert. I was in the first row waiting for Meshuggah to start when I saw her on the side. She immediately piqued my interest, cause I had 0 clue how she got there. I started talking with her and the story is as follows: She travels a lot and tries to live life as much as possible. One day she went to see an art piece. She really liked it so she waited for the actors after the play. She talked to them and found out that one of the actresses actually went to the same high school as her daughter. This actress mentioned that her partner’s band plays a concert in NY in a few weeks and that should she come over, they will party. Actress happens to be Jessica Pimental and her partner happens to be one Thomas Haake. Niki likes experiences, so she obviously comes (without knowing anything about the band, djent or even metal). When the concert started I pushed her in front of me after the first song, cause we were quite close to the mosh pit and I didnt like her to get injured.. She not only survived the whole thing but was asking questions: “What are they singing about?”, “Why do they have so many lights?” and “Why are people being thrown forward” (about stage diving). She didn't want to leave. When I asked if she was ok she just stoically responded “I never left a single party in my life”. It was like a museum tour for her. After the concert she said “We are going to an after party, I got to meet my friend.” Do you think she had a badge or anything else to prove that she belongs to a band? Hell no! She just had her iron will and persistence. After talking with a bunch of security guys she actually went backstage. I waited outside. After a few minutes one of the crew members emerged and asked me to join them. Damn, Niki fulfilled my dream of meeting Meshuggah on f**king Meshuggah after the party. I don't have to tell you that I consider myself a super fan and how much this meant to me. In the end I got to leave the party early, but when I was leaving, Niki was still there having fun. That night I learned: never leave any party even if it seems crazy and help your elders because they can help you to meet your heroes…

Always use good judgement when helping ne1 of ne age. while yer story ended very well, some ppl's don't. Øystein Euronymous Aarseth helped out Vark Vikernes & look what happened to him, Joey Jordison helped all those bastards in Slipknot get to where they r today & again look where it landed him, I've helped older ppl in my own life & gotten nothing but disrespect of all kinds. Not from all but the vast majority, the pros don't out weight the cons in many cases. Some ppl r just more prone to attracting bad luck& shitty ppl so maybe evaluate yer own history before putting yerself out there to help others. I'm glad yer situation turned out good tho, sounded like a good time.

The other heavy bands are great, they’re just not as pioneering as Meshuggah. Funny comment but so much misinformation about the actual sagas and mimir and the Asir and Vanir Tribes of old Norse history. I liked the game and all but dam, Odin is the good guy and Mimir is a giant/god like Odin. In fact in some sagas he is Odin’s brother and helped make humanity lol. It was the Vanir Tribes aka Njord Freya Freyr and so on that severed mimirs head when Honar was unable to lead the vanir tribe or make critical decisions without Mimir at his side being one of the wisest of beings. So they cut his head off and sent it back to Odin as an insult. Odin then used his magic of necromancy and the runes to bring Mimir back to life in his severed head to continue to help Odin and so on. So yeah God of War really trashed the real even cooler story then what Kratos did in both god of war games.

I’ve seen and recorded over 110 artists this year across various genres, the combination of showmanship plus musicianship just doesn’t compare to anything with what I’ve seen ever. I’ll be increasing my upload frequency to show YT more like this, but I can say that too many artists nowadays who don’t have an organic growth to their following, seem to have better showmanship and eye candy than their musicianship - maybe it’s a 2022 Tik Tok / Eye Candy is more important kind of trend. In some 5-10 years we’ll have another batch of artists who are doing great now but their showmanship is poor or their live production is not that much of a spectacle yet.

@@aprioris.knowledge2765 I’ll be uploading Fallujah in about 3 weeks ish. Their last tour was great. Problem with Fallujah is that, for RU-vid, their production is just small - all they have to carry them is their musicianship and while it gets them very far, they’re still not popular enough to put up a “show” show that people could easily watch even if they don’t know them.
@UnitedYeets
@UnitedYeets Год назад
@@caixiuying8901 I know your comment is for the creator of this thread, but Loathe’s Hardcore Punk influences makes for a different experience. On my channel you’ll see Kublai Khan TX and I’ll be uploading my recordings of Loathe when I can - seen them twice this year - but it’s another example of a band with great music and a small but rising live production. They have some lights going now and can headline, maybe in 3-8 years they might be able to match their live production to their musicanship because man can they move a crowd.

There was nothing like this before, during, nor will there ever be again. This Entire Album is still flying over everyone’s head. I seen MESHUGGAH open for ‘tool at The Palace of Auburn Hills in 2001. From what I remember, they Opened with Future Breed Machine; I had never heard music like that, it was exactly what I was searching for, my brain was going insane from the excitement. literally everyone I could see was just standing still like they were mannequins, felt like a movie. When the intro started, I had no clue what to think and than it was INSTANTLY THE GREATEST SONG EVER!!!!!!!! 🤘🤘
