I visit one of the most amazing petroglyph panels I've seen!
I cannot tell you where this panel is, because so much vandalism has been happening recently.
I'm currently camped in a wonderful pine forest. I'm heading to California to visit the one national park on the west coast I haven't seen yet.

And the cultural importance of them not only to the ancesters who left evadence of there existence, but as clues to the long difficult roads they traveled to become our ancestors. With out them we would not exist. All of us stand on the tall shoulders of our ancestors.

Those are pics of star beings & the 3rd left looks like a star chart. On the 2nd those beings are called monopegs, looks like a body with a wheel under it.I also heard that those same type beings also showed up in Africa & camped out side the ppl but in both cases it was said that they were ones who made it easy for Africans as well as Indians to be conquered. A ship as well as lizard beings are also shown.I heard of the mono pegs & only saw a drawing of them but now I see them for real & in Indian territory just like the story abt them says.I dont recall where they came frm but it sure looka like a chart with stars/planets? & a line drawn to where they came frm amongst the stars.

It's that connection to the "All" - it's precious and rare. It's the devotion that any sacred place inspires and inspired in the people(s) that produce and experience that beauty. Thank you to those that created the story, and thanks to you, Bex Cat-herder, for bringing us along. I suppose we must pity those that feel so little that they can do nothing but destroy.

It appears that the people who carved these petroglyphs chose the cliff faces that were most covered with desert patina, makes them stand out much better. I'll bet that most of the petroglyphs there are on the south facing cliff faces and, that area they are in has a predominant winds and storms coming from the north I'm from Wyoming but now live in Montana and have been fortunate to find and see many great petroglyphs and pictographs sights throughout my lifetime of 67 years. I have never seen petroglyphs carved so deeply as some of them here are carved. Great video, Bex Cat-herder, and thank you for your appreciation and protection of the glyphs, and this very special and sacred location.

Hi Bex; so glad to see you continuing your journey. As a Native American I have to disagree with some of the comments and selfish reasons to keep the location a secret because of the fear someone may vandalize the rocks. Native Americans appreciate individuals who appreciate the history that was left behind but to keep it from individuals to enjoy is the same mindset as the vandals. Who is one individual to say after they have had the pleasure of seeing, now decide someone else to enjoy as equally as they did. I would prefer people be more activists in the struggling rights of Native Americans who are alive today. But yet they honor crumbling rocks more. As a Native American, I find this difficult to absorb. Let people come enjoy them while they are able. Can you protect everything from vandals?

Much respect Manny. The Indigenous voices are seldom heard. I appreciate the ancient Native view that no one owns the land. It is there for everyone. Tho sovereignty must be protected & respected. So much stolen. Yet you, like so many of your fellow First Nation people, always project kindness. Thank you for a thoughtful, insightful comment.

You have a good valid point. I have mixed emotions about ancient things like this, do you expose it and share it with everyone, taking a chance on it being ruined. Or do you protect it and keep it hidden and let the next one who discovers it make that call?

@blakesleyk.7166 3 года назад
Rewatch tonight w/friends. Scrolling. Uh oh. A First. Reply to self. I regret, in my comment, saying “so much stolen.” It wasn’t “so much.” We sacked everything. All this - First Nation Land. Karma is unkind to genocidal gain. Our planet is suffering. Species are doomed. Currently, All lands being repatriated to Indigenous mgmt. are flourishing. Reparations here. Only here. This is the “Original Sin” of this land theft from which we’ve All benefited. Yet their being further disappeared. Their history, struggle drowned out, co-opted by the megaphones of rage. Victim Olympics. Voices needed.

The Hate experience in this country is second to none. It's not to any one particular set of peoples either it's just ramped and all over every crack of society. So to keep something not out of sight but at least reach would definitely be the wisest. I have an equal amount of care and love for all. The HUMAN race has been around a much longer time then first understood. Putting everything on its head and at a stand still. With that, there's a huge disconnect with this continent's history. Which we have found some very old OOPARTS. Which to many are being payed and played to keep there mouths shut and not say what they've truly learned. HOWEVER I do agree theres a way. That is to pay the owner to have booked tours. Cause theres only 3 types of people that would like to see it. Those that respect and want its history to be known. Thieves and some drunk kids that would think it's cool to go hang out on it all night start a fire and chill. Problem is: The alcohol will have you doing some fucked up shit before they hit their 3rd beer. I think it was back in the 70s when people stopped cleaning up behind themselves. But the Guided tours the only way.

Indeed, a privilege to see such a wonder of an early society on this continent. Thank you so much. I read where one of your other viewers mentioned arthritis, I suffer the same and it would probably be impossible for me to view as well. I am 69 years old and am still in a state of incredulity at the stupidity of MODERN mankind! It should be considered a capital crime punishable by life imprisonment to deface such a historically important and precious resource. I am non religious myself but so what? Even with several college degrees and a somewhat "enlightened" idea of what created those petroglyphs I find myself in awe empathically with the person whom carved such images and the inspiration, time, patience, and ancient craftwork it took to do so! Imagine his/her INCREDULITY and disbelief at what one of their country's social descendants' response to said effort was?? Frankly, and I hate to be such a pessimist, but the older I grow the less hope I hold out for humanity. Kudos for such wonderful camerawork and your intrepidity in making this video. I'll NOT forget it soon! BTW, has any research or carbon dating determined how old they are with a little more accuracy than 7 thousand years?? Thanks again.

Love your finds and beautiful trips you take us on. I learn so much from your informative and educational videos. I'm stuck in Iowa right now but loving to see all my rv traveling friends. I'll get out on my own adventures when the time is right. Soon hopefully! But until then..... keep them coming! Glad all is well with you. Continued safe travels and blessings from this amazing universe.

Hope there are security cams or something to protect this site. Looks like easy prey for vandals.

Bex, thanks so much for another great, entertaining and informative video as usual. Two of our young granddaughters were here today and I was able to share your wonder of the petroglyphs with them, a great time of learning for us both. All your skill and hard work is much appreciated.

Beautiful. My heart cries for all the peoples and animals depicted that once were and now are no more.

@3:43 left side...do you see the lone upside down person? Bex do you believe the land/sand/rock base was much higher when the drawings were carved? How else did they get so high? Fascinating!

My Aunt and Uncle took me to see some beautiful carvings and ancient homes way up on some cliffs 50 years ago! The experience is astounding! I also will not say where. But, it was something I will never forget and am totally grateful for the experience. Thanks for your share. Well Done!

These petroglyphs are a part of human history and I am in awe over the fact that I got to see them even if it is second hand ... I also believe they should be protected and persevered, Thank you so much for sharing and I really like the way you are being protective ... 👀

"lost to history." So true. So much has been. Sadly some carved graffiti at about 7:00 and 7:50 :-( Excellent video and thoughts.

Yep, and that's the real reason the location of sites like this must be kept secret. It's sickening. I just got back from Canyonlands and many rocks have stupid carvings on them. People are idiots.
