Two things: 1. Please run the wiring to put all solar control units inside the trailer. Over time, they will get beat up in the cargo area. 2. Put a 110 outlet behind the TV. It isn’t a smart TV, and since many people watch TV online, an Apple TV or the like needs to be employed, thus the need for the outlet. Also, should an owner want to upgrade TVs later, the outlet allows for a change to something off the shelf. Thanks!
Hi Josh! I love your enthusiasm and humor! I am a 58 year old woman living in a Forest River Salem Cruise Lite 196BH. I bought it new in 2016 after my husband passed away. In 2021 I became disabled and had to sell my home. My kids are grown and on their own now so I do not need the bunk beds. I have discovered that this camper is to small for permanently living in, even for one person. I love the Ember Overland 201FBQ!!! I wish I could afford one of those! Since you wanted our feedback, here we go… A oven is definitely needed. To plug in a toaster oven or Chefman oven/air fryer will take up ALL the counter space. Oven please….😌 All cabinets should have doors! It is hard enough to keep your belongings from flying around but even harder when there is no doors to help contain everything. 😌 Cabinet doors please. One last thing. My camper did not have hydraulic lifts on the bed. I installed them myself. It is very important to have easy and safe access to storage under the bed. Maybe some sliding drawers inside the bed storage so you can pull things forward easier…. Sort of like in cabinets for pots and pans etc…. I want to buy a Travel Trailer from you. Please let me know how to do this? Thank you 🙏🏻
EMBER Please make the bunks more (vertically) spaced out!!!! Not like sleeping in a coffin. I've owned 5 bunk houses and they all are the same. EMBER seems different than the rest. Please make them bigger!
They’re kind of limited by the height of the camper there unfortunately And an 8ft ceiling means a crazy tall exterior people won’t like May I ask what the proper clearance is Sam??
@@JoshtheRVNerd Josh, I do understand the limitations:) but still there is more space. It would come at the cost of losing the outside kitchen or under bed storage (I understand that) However Ember seems like they are willing to do things differently. They took the first step already by making that "flex" room option. Better spacing on bunks would make them more usable for big kids/small adults. Josh, your the Man!!! I am part of your original 5k nerd heard and have met you in person!!!
I love the versatility of the MSL cargo/bunk/office/garage space. We would use that space for all 4 options at various times. Love the walk around bed. A no slide option would be nice as well.
I concur that a convection micro would be excellent. With that large in/out storage compartment, that outside door needs a better locking system beside those cheap twisty locks.
I agree that the bathroom sink should not be plastic. I also suggest that the put in a folding or removable shelf half way or 2/3s up in the large in/out storage area would make it more usable if not using it for an outdoor fridge.
Also @josh, what do you think about the notion of swapping the placement of the stove further away from the sink? So prep and washing food/dishes won’t splash onto stove or whatever you are cooking?
I like this trailer would like to see a dinette option, a stove/oven option Rectangle sink. I appreciate the no speaker holes on the outside. Your factory tours are are always informative.
I would kind of like a fireplace, but that’s because I don’t understand the water heater/furnace stuff. That’s the only thing I can kind of gripe about. It’s an awesome Camper!!
A built-in electric heater (safer than portables getting knocked around) would be great. And for the more practical of us, do we really need a fake fire? So a small built-in heater would take hardly any space yet still push out 1500 watts. Wanna watch a fire, go outside, especially for a smaller model like this.
They definitely need something to protect items from the storage next to the fridge from falling out. Maybe clip up netting or a small wooden bar or dowl blockingbut you can still access the shelf.
Great video! A curtain track option would be a must to separate the queen bed area from the rest of the camper, especially the bunk option one! I would also love to see a king bed option! I also love the bigger shower on the 221MDB!! Ember we’re grateful your listening to your customers and building bigger units for families!
Well done! I like everything about it but with recliners as opposed to the dinofa. As for no oven, you can always get a Coleman camp oven to set on the burner of the stove. Again, well done!
This one is great! Walk around queen is a must for us. The outlets are a great and the hidden wardrobe is a great selling point. Don’t mind not having no oven. At. All.
Ember continues to impress. It’s nice to see them respond to comments, and quickly. I love the bunk house model in particular. That would suit me and my family quite nicely. It goes without saying (well maybe not, as I’m saying it 😁) their quality and design are top notch.
There are so many things to love about this RV, especially the dual-axle independent suspension, the lack of cheap plywood in the structure, and the very attractive interior decor. But since you asked for feedback, here goes . . . The corner floor-to-ceiling wall cabinet in the bedroom doesn't seem very usable. What can you really store in that small triangle of space? It just seems an odd shape to accommodate clothing (I see needing to fold all my T-shirts and underwear into small triangles). Also, I'm not a fan of that outdoor kitchen pass-through. It seems like a neat idea, but I don't actually see using it as intended. I think that space would be better served with a large set of drawers or pull-out shelves. Finally, I've used small round kitchen sinks before and they really aren't practical. Washing moderately sized pots and pans always poses a challenge. Oh yeah, the plastic bathroom sink is a total bust.
This is a great floor plan, but… I do miss the added seating flexibility that the shorter version with the Murphy bed offers. A few other thoughts: - The added kitchen space is very desirable - TV location is much better here than the shorter version - Will they offer this with the new modular layout (removable bunks with swing up door/window - SO nice to see an OEM listen to their customers and you - LOVE those flip-up shelves in the cabinets/closets - Agree - don’t use a plastic sink in the bathroom. Not for this price point!
@@shannonstewart4792 I hope they offer both versions without the slide. I like the residential queen. These mattresses always suck. First job is replacing it and that would be difficult with the two piece Murphy bed.
1. Two burner stove with more storage space and no oven - WIN - having just a bit more counter space makes up for it. 2. Love the sturdy independent suspension 3. Would like to see a theater seat option (again like Rockwood) where the center arm folds up and permits curled up napping. Would like the mini tables and have them fit into the side cup holders. 4. Want to see the bunk options with the exterior door. If that would require and east/west bed, that's fine. Don't compromise with designing for a king bed. Would be interested in the twin beds concept. Especially if you could invent a way to insert a portable desk on one side. 5. And spend $10 more (stop doing what everyone else does) and put in a bathroom faucet where you can actually get your hands under it. 6. And please don't follow the crowd by adding goobs of stupid swooshes and stickers. Keep it clean. 7. And why not a built in exterior ladder? Who wants to store/find/unfold and setup a rickety portable ladder. That is the worst part of this trailer so far. You mention and optional telescoping ladder? Hope that-s permanently attached? 8. I watch a number of RV user FB pages. It's amazing how many battery problems folks are having. When do you switch from AC to DC, how do you it, did I kill my battery, etc, etc. In the future it would be great to design something that is more automated or sensing so all of these electrical issues are lessened and you don't need to be an EE to figure it out. 9. Battery shutoff switch in poor location; to easy to hit and break off. 10. Repeat complaint - Don't like the trapezoid window covers. 221mdb - YAY - Add theater seats! Arrgh - bendy bed NG 191msl - Come on, show us! Bendy beds NG - deal breaker And for the ultimate bad idea - Use a cheap TV projector instead of a TV. I see plenty less than $150 and many less than $100. Don't know how good they are. Put the projector under the slide roof and have a pull down screen over the sink area. Because that current location is pretty bad even though you tried your best.
So there’s a lot to unpack here but there are actually a large number of people who do not want a built on exterior ladder so they can have more freedom to use the rear cargo receiver. More common in a specialty class like this vs a traditional camper All great stuff here though. Ty for the time it took to write this
The 201FBQ is really close to my dream camper! As a big guy, I agree that the toilet and shower are a bit small. The bathroom on the 221MDB looks much better, but I don't need/want the bunks. I love the "camp kitchen" replacement area. The only other "nice to have" feature I would want is some sort of privacy curtain for the bed area. I assume these would be 30A service, and a 13,500 non-ducted AC unit? Way to go Ember!
Ohh man.... Josh did a video with the "bunk" model last week that was wide open and could be used for so many things... I'll see if I can find it for you...
Love the 221MDB....only suggestions would be an accordion door ( something better than a curtain), extra window on the front curb side, and maybe an option for an regular/convection oven. Great camper though 👌.
Awesome to see the dual axle trailers from Ember! Please build the 190MDB floor plan on the 22 foot chassis with a fixed East / West Queen and the option to delete the outdoor kitchen. We would prefer the additional storage under the beds and without the front Murphy bed the fixed upper cabinets over the Queen would be possible 🇨🇦
@@JoshtheRVNerd I agree with your comments in the video too that a version without the slide would be a cleaner look and with the floor plan flipped with the couch on the curb side the kitchen could be significantly bigger with the 3 extra feet of frame!
I would love for there to be a slider door separation for the bedroom area. Convection microwave would be nice TV / fireplace for heat with just electric. Love the tv storage/closet area!! The camp kitchen option area. It would be great if that small little pantry next to the fridge would be able to be rolled out as a unit
Very very nice. I love when manufacturers listen to their customers. I wish them much success in the future. Something I'm wondering is if there are plans for even bigger trailers in the future or do want to see how it goes with what they have?
@@StressLessCamping that is strange. I have one in my Rpod (a smaller camper than this Ember), and can say that it’s not that large a micro/conv item. And I don’t understand why they wouldn’t have access to them, owners can even get replacements at places like Camping World….
@@JoshtheRVNerd You know , especially on the 201FBQ, there is such good kitchen storage that it wouldn't hurt to delete most of that storage to either side of the microwave and put in a big 30 inch residential style convection microwave.
In a round about way, I've come back through the recent Ember videos. I would love to see the dual axle bunkhouse with the Ember Track like the single axle, making the bunk space convertible. That would also necessitate adding a cargo door in the back. I don't know if that is possible, but that would definitely add significantly to the value of the dual axle bunkhouse.
Love this trailer and off road capability. So made for boondocking, would love to see option for 12 volt refrigerator and 12 volt a/c!! Must have for boondocking
@@johnvowell6348 can someone upgrade to the max solar package AFTER they've purchased the rv? Some people may have to save up more money for the upgrade or want to see how it is without max solar first.
@@shannonstewart4792 In many cases you are better off adding your solar system aftermarket. Most factory installed systems aren't done that well. They particularly like to skimp on the quality if the wiring, which may be the most important element of a well designed solar system. If you don't want to do the installation yourself, there are many talented solar system installers throughout the US. I have worked with excellent installers across my stomping grounds in AZ, OR and ID. If I get an Ember, I'll order it with the minimum solar package and put a real system in. It can be more expensive because you can build a system using best in class components, but worth it if you fulltime in the trailer (and, like me, hate generators!).
Biggest knock is the shower. Would love to see the rectangle and move the sink out entirely if necessary. Kitchen sink is right outside so I'd think you could use that and maybe increase pantry/towel storage as well. That shower in the second one is amazing tho.
Yay!!! Woohoo! Tandem axle/ 4 wheel independent suspension! 🎉👏👏👏 Loving all that storage! , @JoshtheRVNerd , you mentioned possible twin beds - how about an option for 2 twins/convertible to king? Rockwood Mini Lite has a model with that option. Ember Crew, you guys are knocking it out of the park with these newest models! Awesome job, guys! We appreciate Josh giving us a great sneak peek tour!
Yeah “how” the twin beds are done will be interesting to see A convertible king is cool but loses storage while twin-only still allows for center storage..
I love the storage at the head of the queen beds. My current camper has an open space/shelf/counter below the hanging storage and then a drawer below. I can't tell you how many times I have hit my head in the middle of the night when I roll over! I have resorted to stuffing a pillow in that area and then still hit my head when the pillow falls out. I must admit I am not a real "happy camper" when I get my head wacked when I am still asleep. I also love the the light and plugs at the head of the bed. I end up fishing a power cord to a hidden outlet and then knock it out of the outlet when we put the murphy bed up. Good job Ember. We are looking to purchase our retirement trailer in a couple of years, and Ember is definitely on my radar!
So close. So very close. How about this: remove the hidden wardrobe, mount the TV on the ceiling on a swing-down bracket. Put the fridge in the wardrobe space. Extend the bathroom wall into the old refrigerator space, combine the pantries together in the remaining space where the broom closet is. The bathroom layout should then be: shower extended into sink space. Sink moved to where toilet is. Toilet angled against back wall for more room. Personally, if it was mine, I would remove the cubby storage behind the sofa, swap the sofa for two recliners and have marine style drop-down tables for dining.
My husband & I absolutely love this new couples Ember! It's amazingly perfect for us. I love to give input regarding different motorhomes & travel trailers & I often do. My husband John & I purchased our Safari Trek at your family business, a few years ago, in Coldwater. Although, we love our Trek, we are getting older & are both retired & seek another mode of full timers, with all of the newer technologies, including the great off roading capabilities that this model offers. I appreciate the inputs regarding the shades, on the best windows ever. This is the best floorplan in a towable we've seen. We have around 150 Facebook pages, regarding different makes, models, motorhomes & travel trailers. My husband is a semi retired RV Inspector & we have traveled all over the country doing inspections for people. We love RVs & are constantly looking for something that fits us perfectly. I think that in this this one, we have met our match.❤️😊
Like the looks of these trailers a LOT!! Agree with some of the earlier comments though. Would love to see a 221MSL with the Ember track system, a square sink, a convection micro combo, and the battery / inverter electronics inside the cabin, possibly near the main control panels. I get that wiring may not allow that, but it seems they could easily go up the interior wall near the door maybe? I have two teenagers and when we rented a NorthTrail similar to the Rockwood UL 2509S, they hated climbing into those tight bunks. I love the MSL type bunks that give the kids some standing room and ability to easily get into their sleeping area. Plus with the Ember track accessories, you can hang expandable cargo nets, or hang bags for their stuff on the bathroom side wall. Don't understand why more manufacturers are not doing this! Kids grow up to adult size eventually and need a little space of their own! Grand Design has a new Transcend model, the 235BH that puts the bunks in the slide where the kids can easily get in and still be part of the conversation if they want. Love the concept, just wish it was in a trailer without wood construction and Azdel sides. Your videos have been very helpful in the search for the perfect RV. Just still doesn't exist yet! Ember looks like they are getting very close though!
I love that idea with the 22. Perhaps with a curtain track to separate the sleeping areas for families. Though in that larger model perhaps an oven as well. Can’t wait to see pricing on that one. Glad to see this sneak peek.
Went to look at the Ember a few weeks ago. Didn’t purchase because the interior walls seems so weak. Thought I was going to send my hand through the wall trying to plug something in. The draws were wobbly and weak as well. Impressed with everything else. If it wasn’t for that, I would have probably purchased one. I would like to see a bunk model with the walk around queen bed and no slide. And, beef up the interior.
I love the 201FBQ layout, well thoughtout appointments and storage. I like the full size queen bed, bath could be just a touch larger. Toilet access appears to be limited for those of us with the need for a bit more room. I am not wild about the storage behind the sofa, looks difficult to reach things. How about putting an exterior access door for that area!!! With the max solar package and a generator this would be the perfect off grid unit. Trailing link road gear would be excellent for possible rough ground travel. I would also consider another max air fan in the living area for thosse days when you need some air movement but don't need to run the AC.
The 201FBQ is a beautiful RV. For me, I would recommend eliminating the pantry by the door since they added a large pantry between the bathroom wall and the sofa. That way they could have the larger bathroom and shower like in the 221MDB. Would also like to see larger overhead cabinets above the bed and an open cabinet in the bathroom to store towels above the toilet. And since there’s no oven, a convection microwave option.
I would really like something like this, but without the slide. I feel that most people who are relatively new to using a camper would like to get into a camper without the stress of added worries of a slide. I personally like the idea of having a little bit bigger camper that is easy to walk in and around without any issues during the set up or tear down process. I really think that the more people who can start out with something that is easy to use the more people will get into the purchase and then might want to get something bigger.
Comment #301. The outside small door. Can also make loading and unloading so much easier. Also a small box could be added for a small generator. A little more tongue weight yes. But the height and a good lockable box. Will make it harder to steal.
Love everything about it!. A twin bed would be a cool option. Don't know if I would go with it, because they did such a good job with the queen. I love the twin mini Winnie but this one beats it...
I just started the research for a small off-road capable RV for my retirement and this perfect. Ticks off everything I was hoping to find, the only thing I would like to see is a better sealed underbelly pan. I’d be willing to pay extra for an aluminum sheet underbelly. Thanks for this video. I’m currently remodeling my DS3612 Raptor into a tiny home and I just picked up an old aluminum sign that I’m going to use to create a removable panel in the underbelly so that I can access The tank valves easily. That would be a nice addition to this model so that the inevitable repair or replacement of a valve is easy.
Really like the 201FBQ! I'd want a convection/micro, windows on the sides of the slide (or better yet if they are building a no-slide option, same build length of this layout!), we have the alumi-tread manual stairs on our current trailer and I vastly prefer those over the solid-step. The solid-step was on a trailer we rented before purchasing, and it became a deal-breaker for us as you couldn't access the trailer at some rest stops. I know that's an unpopular opinion with some, but we also find there is less dirt in the trailer when you don't have to flip the stairs up into it. I see some asking for theater seats, and my only opinion there is to please leave off the heat/massage/ugly-accent-lights if they add this. Our's have only been turned on (repeatedly) by accident and are getting unplugged as soon as we can figure out how to get to the plug - what a waste!
This is so close to what we want. Most of what we want is not mainstream, no TVs. To make that bunkhouse just about perfect is to add some more "typical" overland camper features. I could care less about the inside kitchen, make sure the outside kitchen is full functioning, Hot/Cold full sink, drawers for utensils and dishes. Add that outside door of the first camper to the Bunkhouse for easy backside access pass-through storage of kitchen items. Someday they will make a small DC fridge for outside. Maybe chop 2ft off of it, but keep the payload.
Wow. Love this. I’ve been holding out for the MSL (the bunks on tracks idea is simply amazing) but wishing it had dual axles and a walk around bed. Now I’m hoping they will do this version with the MSL bunks, that would be perfect!!
Regarding Solar Panel Mounting - Carry those front 'shark fin' rails back along both sides so you can mount lots of solar panels in a rack system instead of poking holes in the roof. Look at the Imperial Outdoors rail/rack system on the X195 and X145. More panels and bigger batteries!
I always think they need more solar... if the roof doesn't have solar panels on slides that deploy when parked it's not enough :D But really, I think they look great. Not big enough for full timing, and I always want a King bed. How about they make it a toy hauler with twins up front and a king that drops down in the back? :D
I was content knowing that no American manufacturer would ever build the perfect rig for me. And then you go and show us the perfect rig (201fbq)! Damnit man, I hope you are proud of yourself? To be clear, there are some really good travel trailers out there. But Ember is by far, the most impressive American manufacturer of travel trailers.
This is absolute perfection……to me. I’m a solo camper and this is amazing. I don’t care about the oven, I don’t use mine. I currently have a 2020 Dutchmen Kodiak 201qb and without a doubt, this will be my next camper. I don’t have a slide in mine and this Ember will be perfect. I love the way the TV opens out to the bed area. The only thing I will change, if possible, is to switch out the microwave to a convection/microwave. That’s it, everything else is perfect for my needs. Well done Ember!! I look forward to getting mine when available for purchase. This is what I’ve been looking for.
@@JoshtheRVNerd If that was the only “problem” when the time comes, I’d be more than willing to source it myself. Everything else is perfect. I love the Ember product.
Love the improvements! Yes to king bed. Yes to microwave convection oven. Can you fit a flip up table somewhere for more prep space? Can you add hangar hooks in cabinet beside fridge in case it is use for coats? Can I win one of these, please? Thank you, Josh.
Would love the 4 wheel version with the modular bunk bed/desk/storage space like the 191MLS. Square shower pan is a huge plus!! As a large man ,no rounded corner showers are ever big enough. Make a solar setup(with batteries) to accommodate a full offgrid solar system for at least 3 days of 24/7 complete power usage while boondocks. That means 24/7 a/c, fridge, electric, everything an option. Most importantly, add some kind of modular, physical separation for master bed. As one with kids, I need the bunks at night, extra space during the day(modular system for the win) but also want the privacy from the kids!!
Really like what Ember is doing. With this longer model, the idea I mentioned on the 191MSL video, I think would be easier to pull off. That's do to a twin bed floorpan like what's in the Airstream Flying Cloud 25RB Twin model, but with the E-track based beds in the back. With sets of E-track bunks on both sides and maybe a small door in the middle of the back wall like in the bunk house models, it would function as a sort of non-motorized toy hauler, be able to sleep a whole family and on a rainy day, the back area could be re-configured to a play area or a place to setup folding chairs. Certainly, with the back fully open, all the mechanicals would need to be in the front, so I don't know what that would for hitch weight, but if the front had a big u-dinette like the airstream I think there would be room for it, and with all the flexibility for storage in the back, not having front passthrough storage I think would be understandable.
That 201FBQ has to be one the best designed campers I've ever seen. This thing is perfect as a couples camper. Ember keeps moving closer and closer to my perfect camper. I need one under 30 feet with the bedroom and entertainment center of the 201FBQ and the flex, bunk space of the 191MSL (I didn't even know I needed the flex space until I saw that video). I'd also like to praise Ember for offering options to the individual models instead of offering multiple models. I have to assume that this keeps prices down as they don't have to buy multiple versions of everything. The spaces are just made to slot in whatever option the customer orders like the booth dinette vs. the sofa.
get rid of plastic sink. would love to see msl in this length. and whatever they do please please do not do a dinette leave the dinoffas. no oven needed. they too tiny anyway. 😀
@@JoshtheRVNerd You are my go to guy Josh! We are doing our extensive search before retiring and getting our RV and we trust your reviews. In addition you make us laugh our a** off with every review.
Thanks for showing us prototype. Very cool. Glad to see 4 wheels on an Ember. Would like to see a little more cargo capacity, something closer to 2000#. Type C USB in multiple locations (especially in bedroom area) would be nice. Solar control modules should be inside next to or in control center. Make it easy to add more solar panels by increasing wire size from solar junction box to MPPT charger to 8 awg. Also make it easy to swap MPPT to something able to handle more watts. Maybe a maxxair fan option above bed or toward back of main room/kitchen (or both?) to help circulate air. Reverse lights would be cool. Induction stovetop with convection microwave option included with max solar package? Love the Truma system. Love tongue jack. Love the front tongue storage/organizer Love the suspension. Love the windows.
The CCC is low for a quad wheel trailer. I was curious to find out whether the weight limitation is due to the suspension, wheels, frame or a combination of the three. I found out from the factory that they use the 3,500lb Curt suspension system, so the weight limitation isn't there. The tires they're using rate at well over their recommended GVWR, so that's not the problem. That leaves the frame. It's either the frame construction that limits the weight rating, or something else I've never heard of. That kind of gives me some pause when considering going with one of these trailers. Given our need for solar system upgrades, the size of the holding tanks, and the amount of storage these trailers have, it would be ridiculously easy to overload one of these trailers and risk damage to the frame. We like to go offroad. Nothing crazy, but I would now be much more cautious with choosing one of these trailers. Too bad, because I had high hopes for Ember. If they address this issue in future models, I'll be back on board.
@@JoshtheRVNerd It shouldn't be the tires. They are 16" Goodyear Wranglers with a load rating E. At 80 psi they should be capable of about 3,000 pounds each, which is 12,000 pounds for four of them.
Very interesting as to their development. Curious to see if they come out with a larger using geared toward a full time life. Say a 30 footer. That would peak my interest.
WOW! HOLY COW! This is the Ember I've been waiting for! Buuuut my heart broke when I saw there was still no oven. Add an oven and they can have my life's savings!
Very promising unit, and overall I’m interested. On the one hand I love the full privacy bathroom door with no gap at the top, on the other hand I question how the AC cool air will get through. I also which that RV mfgrs would add some assist type grab bars for step up shower enclosures. This floor plan is almost perfect for me, and I would gladly switch from my Rpod. Josh, could you fit laid out in any direction on that sofa?
@@JoshtheRVNerd thank you for your reply. My partner is 6’4 (we sometimes sleep apart), so my Rpod replacement search goes on…, though I’m looking forward to seeing how that bunk house unit finishes up. Super serious about those grab bars assists for showers, or at least designated mounting areas! I’m 65 and still loving camping, except navigating those showers!!
Love what you are doing here with the tandem!!! 3 design Ideas my wife and I really appreciate in our 18' Zeppelin. * Ditch the slide and make the queen a murphy bed with couch combo and table. *Need an oven because I'm a chef. *Wife says that without a bathtub it's a "deal breaker"
Embers look really solid and the solar options are awesome! The brand just really stands out to me. Love the walk around standard queen! It makes a difference when your husband is 6'3"! Josh- as always your knowledge depth is impeccable! and amazing!
Love options available! I wish the CPAP cubby was slightly lower to prevent moisture in the hose when humid getting into the mask. Otherwise cool possible options.
So are you saying that the machine needs to be lower than the person wearing the mask? So that condensation drains back to machine not into person's mouth? (I don't use one just trying to understand the logistics.)
We are a retired couple that wants a true couples camper. We love the 201 FBQ but would like it with no slide and a 2 oerson booth with a table that doesn’t have legs get in the way. Thanks for listening.
Concur with the bug net for the rear cargo door. A few more things, 1. In all models without campsite kitchen, I wish Ember had a standard track or rail outside to install a shelf and hang the griddle next to it, like the Rockwood Minilites. 2 Same as the Minilites, a standard outside TV mount to easily hang the TV and entertainment outside the coach. 3. Might be optional but I'll love the cargo tray Lance campers have in the pass-through storage areas. As long as possible, just half inch behind the docking center.
In the second unit of this video, those invertor/solar control units are in a position to be smashed by anything you carry in that compartment. Relocate those to the inside of the unit out of harms way.
We currently have a Jayco 199MBS that we like the layout but I might have to trade for the 221MDB or if they make the no slide out version 220MDB. Ember is killing it and it's hard to find anything wrong that isn't just a personal preference type issue. 1. Not sure what the advantage is of putting the solar controllers in the storage compartment vs. inside next to your other controls. Seems like you might risk damage in the storage compartment. 2. I would like to see a small external storage compartment on the driver side similar to the 199MBS slide out storage compartment to segregate sewer couplers, electric cords and dog bones out of main storage. Great video Josh.
Man.. we've had a TON of requests for a 220MDB or the 220MSL with the flex-function bunk space.. Have you seen that btw?! Look at this if not -- might blow your mind! bit.ly/3LzHide
Option: 201fbq theater seating in place of the couch; slide tray in that side storage place. Oh yeah one more thing, the storage next to the fridge should have a power plug to charge vacuums etc.
Nice, soo cool. There is plenty of storage, get rid of the cabinet under the TV, continue the counter to the corner closet. Make the outside door wider so you can have a cooler/deep freeze that slides in/out. option to delete the stand-up fridge. Ditch the step up shower. shower sump/macerater pumps can give you a level or step down shower. remove side storage where fridge is and shrink slide side storage to have a bigger bath. Option to delete stove, and other propane stuff, move to all electric. move the rear accessory hitch inboard (better departure angle, let likely to break off) Hub motors in wheels, auto regen braking, 15kw of battery, DC fast charge, hi voltage DC air conditioning/heat pump, and solar powered hot water heat pump :)
I see a lot that I like. A ducted A/C would be nice to quiet things down some. As others have mentioned a convection microwave in the kitchen. The storage area next to the refer would make a good coat closet so adding a clothes rod across the top would be great.
It is great but the corner shower is a no go for me as a disabled person. A rectangular shower w/low entry is most functional for me. Love the bathroom in the bunkhouse prototype model; the layout particularly of the shower and the finish materials in the shower are beautiful. Would like an option for reclining theater seats w/freestanding table instead of the sofa and attachable table. The mattress looks pretty thin. A convection microwave would be ideal since there is no oven option. At least make a convection microwave as an optional add-on. Great job on the extra outlet in the kitchen. It's in a great space!! The TVs are really small and although the new spot is an improvement in the bunkhouse/murphy bed model, it's still not fantastic. Not sure what other options there are for that though. I want to commend you on the quality of construction of your RVs and I also very much appreciate use soliciting feedback on these new models as well as changes to existing models. Most manufacturers are not interested in hearing customer feedback and if they pretend to be interested, they rarely make any suggested changes so thank you once again!
I love that this is wood less construction! I actually like the bracket table and I love the change they made to the shade/blinds. The quality is so easy to see.
I love how responsive they have been to feedback and constantly making improvements. I was about to pull the trigger on a 191MDB but its just a little too small for my family of 4 and 2 dogs. I just saw on their website that they added the 221MDB and it is on my radar once again! If they can add the option to have the Legless Booth Dinette that can convert into an addition bed (rather than the Jack knife sofa) like in the 191MDB, I AM SOLD!
I have the video for the 221MDB coming VERY soon -- one just landed here. STAY TUNED!! The trick with that 221 -- it really can't have a dinette because the slide is DEAD above the wheel well and they can't get away with a notched slide in it like they could the 191 Wait until you see it though. Being 8ft wide I think it still works if you add a couple chairs
This is just a dual basin sink that can be covered and used for counter space when not washing and drying dishes, a 3 burner stove that is more flexible and can also be covered when not in use and some theater seating away from being perfect👍👍👍But then you would have a near identical floorplan to the Mini Lite 2205S😂
Wow. They knocked these out of the park. The storage on the side of the entertainment center and next the couch are fantastic. The indoor/outdoor trash can access is super smart. I’m a big fan of these. Super innovative and well thought out. Like others have said, the only thing really missing is a convection microwave. Other than that, it’s absolutely phenomenal.
We love the small size with great features. We like the no oven which adds more storage. Love the walk around bed. Love that is is off grid ready but still feels like home versus a bed or tent on wheels.
