Man, I remember those shoes from back in the day, the cool kids had the Flight low, I had the Air trainer 2 and later the Delta Force

I have 2 pairs of the OG Flight highs and 1 pair of the OG Solo Flights and they are super soft leather uppers on those. Also the inside lining they have on the OGs is super soft and comfortable when worn.

I had a pair of these back in about 1990. Passed out drunk wearing them at a party, and didn't have them when I woke up. That was one of my first major life lessons.

We called these Shawn Kemps in 89' them jokers were heavy to hoop in. I had an all red pair.

They're nice. What I don't understand though, is why they haven't brought back the high-top versions of that shoe (both the 89 & 90 iteration), as well as the Solo Flight High Tops (89 & 90). It's criminal really.

I read that they were originally going to be an Air Jordan. The original Flight 89 were all leather. No nubuck.

I had an all white pair with the gum sole bottom. I think I bought them in the year 2000. Had them up until about 2017. And the polyurethane literally crumbled… just sitting on the floor in my closet. I loved the shoes… they felt and looked great. Always got a lot of compliments on them… the gum sole really gave them that unique look.

I have these in the Bred color way and these are 🔥 great review on these. If you dont own a pair you need to get a pair asap! Dope shoe to add to the collection!!!

These look so much better than what they released previously. There was a white maroon pair that came out only at the outlets that were really nice but haven’t seen anybody with them. And I would totally take lost in the woods over lost at sea

These were the first basketball shoes my allowance could afford. They were definitely leather when I got them in ‘89. I grabbed two pairs of the Stüssy collab and they are nice. Remind me of the OGs way more than the pair I had in 2007.

these shoes were my favorite basketball shoes to play in when I was a kid. they were so comfortable and once I got rid of them the remakes were never the same. I have had many remakes over the years. I recently got the black and white one but haven't tried them on yet. thanks for the vid

I’ve been waiting for these to drop again! Had my first pair in middle school back in 2002. From what I’ve heard WSS sells shoes with defects. I’ve personally experienced that.

Nubuck/suede was used mostly on nike's black shoes in the late 80s early 90s s. Leather on white ones.

QOTD: Tent. I ain't goin' on no dang boat. As a sixth-grader in 1989, I had a pair of the OGs in the white/royal blue colorway. The "AIR" lettering in red on the tongue of those is one of my favorite design details of all time. It's not unexpected in any way but totally beautiful. Despite being in the Flight line these things were built like tanks and lasted me until i got a pair of Bordeaux 7s. All I need is for Nike to retro the Air Jet Flight and the triumvirate of shoes I loved playing in the most will be complete. Also I love your cat.

I got 3 pairs of these recently. All different colourways. All have differing levels of quality. Black and white were low quality. Blue and white were medium quality. White and cherry were high quality. But I still added another insole under the one it comes with, for a nice cushioned finish.

I remember having the originals in Red/White, I loved that shoe.

My favorite version of the Air Flight 89 is from the Logo/Time Capsule Pack. Sorry I got rid of mine. Colorway was fire. The Ripstock vamp was cool and the materials were good overall.

got 2 pairs from zappos a few years ago- black and white and white red blue accents, no way in hell they come close to the OGs, but they're OK, they take forever to break in - once they do they are pretty comfy, the outsole gets really worn down and slick so watch how you walk when they're worn down.

I loved playing in these. Love this shoe!!! And the OG was originally leather, not Nubuck.

I absolutely love this shoe!! I was in 8th grade when they first came out..Wanted a pair of 4’s so bad but ended up with these bad boys instead. They were the only shoes I hooped in at that time. Owned at least 5 pairs since then up until 2012. So glad to hear the quality is some what better on these. Keep up the great content..you guys will be at a million in no time!!

99% sure OG flight lows were all leather. Had the white and blue color way😘. Glad to see these get the love they deserve.

The Air Flights were originally smooth leather. The support wing was a much thicker leather on the pair I had in 1990.

Hi,great channel,I'm in the uk,im 48 yrs old and specifically remember going aftrr the jordan 4 grey cement(unsuccessfully)then the jordan 4 bred(unsuccessfully),then the air flight low 89 released almost to take pressure off the jordan 4 and the flights wete freely available and i copped.Unfortunately ripped the back of em on a moped,just copped a white and blue pair for £48 deluvered from asos👌

Flight 89’s remain an all time fav. Also forced to sport Paceless licks awhile knowing Jordan’s were simply not happening, these were what I strove for these instead. Upon finally getting a pair, I wore the sh*t-outta-them and loved every minute. Needless to say, I still love’m and have always managed to keep a different pair around. Currently sporting the grey color way but May pick these up next. Also, my previous reverse (black) color way were just as nice. Thanks for reviewing and recommending this silhouette as I’m sure most will love them too.🫡

The entire Nike flight line was my go to all throughout elementary and early high school. I didn't get my first pair of Jordan's until 97.

My HS buddy lent me his pair for a weekend. We actually swapped shoes.. I forgot what I had at the time.. Anyway it was the 1st ever "Air" shoe I experienced. I was blown away at the cushion. It was bouncy, and in my mind, made me jump an inch or so higher.. 😂😂

Flight 89's are clean....i got the Red and the Royal 89 few years back ....they need to put out those Grey and white pairs....this colorway were my 1st Flights back in the day i remember it had red on the tongue

Love the channel and the content!! I've even gone back to look for older vids becuz I love the fact that u say they run small or true to size... It has really helped me going forward when buying shoes without going to the mall, which I hate having to do!! I'm about to age myself, but I remember I was in high school when these came out and I had gotten the black and gray colorway. I also attended a predominantly white high school with a more hispanic kids than black kids the ratio was so off there were maybe 8 kids in the BSU that were actually black including the teacher... being mixed, puerto rican and black myself, was not as cool as it is nowadays but I digress the first day I wore these to school all the pigment challenged kids kept asking me if they were the new Jordan's... I got to a point where I was asking them if they saw the Jordan figure on the shoes and when they said no there was the answer!! Nonetheless, I really liked this line of sneakers from the jump! The air revolutions were my fave besides the Jordan's but outta mom's budget but these just snuck in!! Thanx again for the great content!!

I had the high and the low back in 89 and they were leather back then.

The OGs were leather. It was super durable. They were tanks. You could beat the heck out of them. Really want to see the full Red with white trim version.

Same color blocking that you have here, but neutral grey instead of black. Such nostalgia, thank you! And, definitely a tent in the woods. You guys rock!

I have a pair of white and cement Flight Legacies from around 2011. The leather toebox wing looks completely different. Way shorter and not nearly as wide. I still have them and plan to restore them.

I love these shoes! Especially bc they are not hyped like 4s so it makes it easier to cop. Still have a DS pair of olive 89s that dropped a few years ago.

Copped the Brigade Blues on nike and they are legit....Size 12 for $66 with that 25% offer weeks ago...Love em...no creasing after the first wear.
