@@ForestFire012 certainly. It's a market strategy, but also might cover errors and bugs in the apex account pack count. You might have opened 450 packs and randomly the game glitches (as it does 9 times per day) and unexpectedly the count changes to 350 or other random number...
I open every 50 - 150 packs I like to save up. Just do that so you can add and know for sure. I just hit 150 packs on my account and opened all of them then added to my total opened.
I love how they say they "CAN" now reveal their drop rates, passing it off as if they're doing us a favour. No. They always could have been transparent - the choice was made not to. They're just now being forced to, and rather than us finding out through some source of Korean media, they're beating them to the punch to try to save face.
yeah no, thats 2^49, my teacher in school explained the logic to me when i was in high school, if you bought a lottery ticket everyday of your life, for 100 years, you would need over 10 life spands to hit a lottery.
@@kudohlol9379And you’re still not guaranteed to win the lottery in that 10 lifetimes. That’s just to meet the odds, however every single time you play the odds stay the same. Flip a coin and it lands heads. What’re the odds it lands heads again? It’s still 50/50
*100% GUARANTEED* to get heirloom shards *after spending 500$* or thousands of hours on this game. For *One* set of heirloom shards out of the 19 different heirlooms we have in this game. No price adjustments after 5 years and 19 individual heirlooms. Everything still costs the same. Don't forget to mention the 3 heirloom recolors on top of that, the 4 heirloom skins and the 2 mythic heirlooms that we have in season 22 so far! So to get everything you will need to spend a few thousand hours into this game and/or spend up to 14,000$.
@@peKsu Who cares if the value goes down? I don't want heirlooms for their rarity. I want them, because some of them look cool. I couldn't give less f*cks about rarity. Seriously. Also, the "value" goes to absurd hights where (almost) no one wants to buy it anymore, when they release tons of this products buy still keep the price up. Thats just stupid and now our market works. When the delivery of the product goes up, the prices go down. If the prices are still absurdly high while the quantity of the products skyrocket, (almost) no one will buy them, because the prices are not justified anymore. Having only one heirloom in the game - kind of - justifies this price. Or atleast its more understandable. Having an common item cost 500$ is just stupid. "Why common?" you ask? Because there are already 28 heirloom items in this game. Its not just one single item. Just by the numbers, if one heirloom is worth 500$, every heirloom should cost around 18$ and not 500$ - since there are 28 of them in the game. Making them cost 30-50$ would be kind of "ok" - even tho this price is still absurd. Think about it. An *full tripple A game* with *all* skins cost 30-60$. For hundreds of hours of playtime with up to thousands of items. Paying 50$ for an singular melee item that has no function in game besides "looking cool" is stupid enough. And the worst part is, that it literally takes them no effort to make them. You can pay someone on fiverr for 5-100$ to make them and then just use the team, that you already pay for everything else, to implement it into the game. Then sell it to your playerbase and get up to billions of dollars of profit. Even cutting the prices down to 50$ would still make them Millions of dollars vs. the ~100$ they invest to get an meaningless design like the way overpriced mythic heirlooms.
heirlooms idea is to be rare, are you actually serious with this comment? Heirlooms idea is literally that you get them after over a 1k hours playtime....
@@tuomaskolari2266 1k is fine. 4-8k hours for one single heirloom is ridiculous. And having to spend up to 14,000$ to get all heirlooms is even more stupid. It should be a crime to make one single item in a game this extremely expensive. Specially when it does not serve any purpose in the game, outside of "looking cool".
@@tuomaskolari2266 Yes. 1k is fine but 4-8k+ hours for one single item? This is just ridiculous. Also having to spend up to 14,000$ to get all of those "rare items" is seriously absurd and should be illegal for a company to price this high. Same with below 1% dropchances for any item in a game.
They need to add options for us to craft more things. I have like 10k crafting materials and it feels like more and more with new events we can't craft anything.
when they say 1 percent when advertising and its not 1 percent thats false advertisement. People are buying these packs a dollar a piece. They cant even say they are rounding up. They need to be held accountable for the lies they tell. just like the sales they advertise... there are new skins saying 40 percent off all the time. they need laws against scummy comapanies with scummy tactics
@@kipkebabI’ve spent too much in this game and always told myself I was supporting my favorite game. You get an heirloom every 500 packs for sure I’ve had 3 from packs nearly prestige 2 but I’m a day one player and was capped for a long time
@@FaidedChainsawGuywhat’s funny is you can get discount heirloom if you buy the 100 packs when they’re on sale only need to buy like 5 at like 25-30 each
I like what the gaming merchant said about spending less money than you should. Yes there is a 1% chance to get an heirloom, but there's a 99% chance you will fail so don't spend more than you should guys!
I did get the 500 pack guaranteed drop, but it took me a few years to reach. Also a good majority of the packs I got were those that came from the seasonal battle passes, the others came mostly from levelling up, which was a pain during prestige levels because the drop rate falls in the higher levels.
"In maintaining our commitment to transparent and consistent communications" That's b.s. they were legally obligated to disclose or else lose out on one of the biggest markets for support. Also, if they didn't fully disclose to all regions then they would have had negative PR by someone translating the Korean documentation. These guys are faker than Deadpool's "summer boliage" 😂
So I just ran it through a calculator... Without a 1 in 500 rule in place each pack having a 0.045% chance for heirloom shards means that the odds are 1 in 2,223. So, you're going to get 4 heirloom shards with the "every 500 rule" in the amount of packs that with 0.045% alone you would have gotten 1. What I want to know is, does the 500 counter reset everytime you get an heirloom shard?
The graphs are a little hard to read. but the 7 categories at .2% each just means it's an equal chance of receiving any of the listed items and that the chance isnt skewed towards any specific cateogry. ie, you have the same chance of a legendary skin as a legendary banner.
Its interesting to see the actual drop rates, also as ive always wanted some form of apex pack counter ive taken it amongst myself since i got my last heirloom shards to intentionally save my packs and open them everytime i get 100, that way i can personally keep count of them
Since season 9, ive pretty much used crafting for all the common skins. I now am working on the weapon skins. Less commons in the pool mean more blue and purples over time.
For event packs you probably can only get one from the event, plus 2 random items. So if there are 45 items in an event it's 1/45 to get the item you want.
Heirlooms are cool and all but with how rare they are when I got mine after my 500th pack I was exited and it wore off in like 10 minutes and just continued playing. which was weird because I've always wanted one but i mean are they really that cool?
It's crazy to think that this is the first time they being transparent about heirloom shards, and they are being forced to do it due to certain regulations, lol. 5 years and 22 seasons btw
i think they should have an event where they give a heirloom shard for free i think a lot of people would come back but they also have to work on A LOT of things for them to stay.
10:28 I think you forgot there are different packs. Normal Apex packs, epic packs, and legendary packs. The drop rate is based on the type of pack you're opening.
That's nice and all but they need to change ammo drop 1 clip next to a gun then having loot 6 building and 20 pills later you got 2 more clips of ammo especially energy
They should be way more frequently im on level 680 and ive bought some packs and battlepass packs the whole time and still no heirlooms 😢 theres so many legends it would take me prob over 10 years to get them all
The thing to remember is the odds change with every new legend added because it adds to the size of the pool. (Not counting Shards.) Day one player, one heirloom, almost level 1000.
I went through, did the math and went through my bank account statements, excluding packs I didn't buy, I opened over 750 packs before getting any heirloom shards...
That’s crazy. I’ve actually gotten two free heirloom almost back to back with the free packs you get. I opened a pack and received a heirloom and a few packs later I got another. This was a few years ago and haven’t got another one since.
i've been a gacha game fan for about 7 years now, but just got into fps a couple years ago, and I can honestly say these are some of the worst gacha rates I've seen so far. It takes 500 packs (1500 pulls) just to go to pity for something with a .045% rate??? That is ridiculous. Most games set it at 100 to 200 pulls for the pity with about 1% or so odds for what you're pulling for, with special boosted banners. This is just terrible, I can't believe it.
i'm a day 1 player and i've gotten max battle pass every season and i got them once. thats 5 years of consistent gaming, XBOX tracker says i've played 324days 10hours. So i'm not likely to ever get one again.
I've been playing since season 1 and only received 1 set Heirloom shards. The drop rate is literal garbage, the game is no longer a game- it's a pay to show off
With so many bugs in the game, I can't believe they didn't mess already the apex packs numbers that each player has opened. I bet some people got their numbers reset
I am level 2000 never spent a dollar on this game and only got shards one time, so is it you one shards after every 500 packs or after 500 you get one and rest 1500 nothing is guaranteed?
If it was .1% it would be 1000 packs, so if its almost half of .1% its a little over 2000 packs, your estimate is very accurate, obviously could plug it into a calculator but its not necessary xD
Lol I got 1 at lv500 exactly on Xbox. On pc I've gone past lv 500 and back around to 180. Had the BP every season until they split it and now want to much. Still no heirloom.
I have a important question, why 2 days ago i reached pack 500 and got the heirloom shards for second time and TGM post this video? (must be pack 500, otherwise i cant get those shards and i was really high pity, almost 500, so must be the pack 500) My way to see the maths is 4,5 heirloom in 10.000 packs, about 2.500 packs for 1 heirloom
What level should you be when you get to the 500 packs. I’m level 400 somthing and have used all the apex coins from challenges and passes to get packs. Yet I have never gotten heirloom shards and I have a friend with 3 heirlooms who is half my level and one who is just over 100 with 2
It depends on how many battlepasses nad separate packes you've bought. Got my 1st shards 2 days ago, I'm lvl 516, completed ~7-8 battlepasses, bought ~50-60 packs in deals/bundles + the packs from some events, twitch drops, thematic packs, etc. Honestly idk if I got lucky or did I just counted my packs wrong (according to calculations I had ~460 packs opened) Btw, only packs from the collections don't count to that 500. Any standard packs, epic, legendary, battlepass, legend thematic, twitch drops and whatever I forgot, do count. Google "apex pack tracker" and try to estimate how far away you are.
Gaming Merchant, can you make some content for other games? Apex is dying (died already in my opinion) and i love watching your channel. So im at a crossroads lol.
First, don't spend money on a free game unless it is p2w, like the old flatline skins. Second, do they really think they could post this in Korea and not have it leaked everywhere? Acting as if they did us a service or something, we all knew it was rigged. You finally just had to come out and admit it because you cannot afford to lose any more of your already dying player base.
