it wasn't a slap on the wrist, if you spent the W gold you benefitted massively It's the best situation for the CC's who encouraged this. I understand why you'd want to move on but that could accelerate my account alot There isn't a single person here who wouldn't trade 3k gems for 12K Wgold, especially low spenders. What WOULD be fair now. is if they gave a 1 off 3k gem offer for 12k Wgold, so those who didn't exploit
Choose not to use the exploit, when it was up. Got 100 diamond compensation. Meanwhile, those who did use it, get to enjoy the early rewards. How is this fair for the rest of us???
Sorry- 100% disagree. People who knew this was a bug exploited it and profited off it. This is not the way to handle it. And it is not 'for the community'. It is good for a small handful of players, at the expense of everyone else. who did not exploit it. This resolution is weak and spineless.
I didn't get the rewards at all but, by definition, it wasn't an exploit since it was done by using their services AS INTENDED. They didn't do anything funny.
still feel that the best thing moonton could do was give the rewards to rest of the players who didnt benefit from the bug, this actually pleases both sides. right now its basically just a slap on the wrist for exploiters as they would be able to claim the rewards again with so much more summonings stacked up for hex and twyla while the rest of us just got 100 diamonds as compensation. dang...
@@paul9601 it is but I have my conscience clean, we followed their rules. It would be nice to get some freebies lol but won’t happen. I love how they all try to act innocent and didn’t know hahaahah they knew well going into hahahahaha
Isn’t it now in favour of people who took advantage of a bug? So they bought $120 worth of packs and got penalty for $10. And they will be able to participate again? What about the players that did not participate in this? You think about any of that?
thats exactly my thoughts they cant do good for any at this point, some have disadvantage specialy cuz off the small time window they gave cuz who could exploit are better off in the end.I was a good spender on this game but i aint giving a cent anymore they failed hard on their part.
Problem is the overall damage is done, their first reaction will be their legacy when it comes to this screw up. A knee jerk panic mode reaction instead of a thought out and rational communication between them and the players.Anything that comes after, no matter how much good will they come up with will never wipe away the taint that is has left on their reputation. People may continue to play but any kind of trust and respect is gone. They are not doing this because they admit they were wrong, they are doing it purely from a business side and the negativity it has hit them with.
@@SenpaiSytama Yeah I agree, the players were and are in the wrong for that. I'm not disputing the fact. I'm fully in support of some sort of consequence on players that clearly could see it was a blatant exploit but did it anyway. But to go balls to the wall, tyrant god mode in their swift retribution after admitting it was their mistake, then to make another mistake with regards to that punishment is incompetence. It shows that they rushed out a punishment and a fix - if they really did add an extra 0 (which i don't believe they did), why? Why was it not checked, and checked again before being put out there. Somebody hit the big red nuke button. It is a business model that heavily relies on good PR which requires the customer to have far more trust in them than they need to have for us, and regardless of what the players did, the response was bad PR. You can't put it back in the box. I can guarantee somebody in their PR department was pissed and going crazy to whoever allowed that "mistake" to go through both times - because they know it was a monumental fuck up on their part.
@Kaitonel I disagree with you in part. There is absolutely an argument that could be made that the rewards program was working as intended. You go into it, and it clearly shows how many days since account creation, then it gives you points for each day. One could absolutely assume the big amount of points was the backlog for the hundreds of days played. Some people are over 400 days. When I clicked my profile it was once and it gave me all the points. It's not like there was a massive long list of steps to follow.
Hey Fasti, im honest, i wasnt sure, how you will react after the first wave of -35k + crystal deduction. If you would back up moonton or the community. I watch nearly every video of you since i joined the game like 35 days ago. i wasnt sure, what kind of a person you are. But now after your 2 videos, i know. You are a fkin Hero for this community man. You do so much for us and the game and often times you have to take a hit from your community and still you keep going and keep calm. You dont lash back at us. Your such a nice person man and i really respect it. I honestly wasnt sure, cause ive seen greater trees fall to weeker winds. But honestly your a blessing for all of us. So, let me thank you for who you are and how you handle things! And thanks for all the content your pushing all the time, in a game that actually has a lot of content to go through! Thanks man! Adnd it doenst matter if you see this or not. You have my moral support. And if i can show 1 or 2 ppl reading this comment, that you indead are a great guy, im happy with it :D
Glad to see cheaters are being rewarded and yes exploits are cheating. Your defense is it was a bug but you knew you were doing something wrong in the first video where you told everyone about the cheat. That being said there is a little thing about the time value of money. You stated that we will all eventually get everything (in approx. 100 days), but those that received the rewards early will have a 100 days of building over everyone else. How many new characters, new content conquered, and resources collected, etc. will they be able to accomplish. They will have more characters and resources sooner that can replace any minor penalty they may have received. The correct way to handle this should have been to reset the whole event and started over. If this was the way it was done it, I am conflicted on if there should have been penalties for the cheaters since Moonton has a certain responsibility to release a fully functional product.
What they should have done is awarded everyone withe the rewards since it was only basically for daily logins and a birthday gift. Then fixed the site and start a new with different rewards. As far as people being ahead then I sure will because I spend money on the game, unless you are talking about other f2p with about the same time invested in the game as other the that would push them ahead a lil right now but would even out over time a they others would get the same rewards eventually and maybe at a better time, only time will tell
@@paulevans6694 giving everyone the "Gift" would have been fine. I am not sure about then doing a "double" event though. As for the rewards equaling out in the future is not 100% correct. While in a ~100+ days we all will have the same gifts is true. Where that thought process is wrong is that you are not taking in to account the amount resources and characters a person the got to keep the 'Gifts" would be able to take advantage. Lets say that everyone uses their gifts to get a new character that advances their account. The ability to use this this for 100+ days over everyone who did not get one would add 100+ days of resources that that character could provide.
What if you didn’t know it was an exploit and just try and change your icon ? That’s all I did. I am mad because I got gems taken away for something I clicked on .
Look at it this way. By doing this, we prevented Moonton and Bytedance from becoming the victim of a potentially catastrophic zero-day attack by identifying a vulnerability in an API, saving them potentially millions of Yuan in reputational damage.
@@cclps1861 First Click can be an accident but every other one was not. Ask your self if clicking on your Avatar ever gave you any resources? The answer is no, plane and simple. It is used to change "pages" and nothing else. I have heard to many people say they thought it could be a bug or exploit and used it anyway. Exploits are cheating. Your actions have consequences and you need to accept the punishments. Was it initial punishment excessive? Well you didn't get banned for using exploits as others have been in other games.
honestly, good that they refunded 90% of the shit they took. but it doesnt change that they react in hours when its something good for players and months when its something bad for players that needs fixed. simple as that. if the next bug thats bad for players takes more than a week to get fixed i quit. theyve shown they CAN fix stuff immediately. they can go into any account whenever and take 10x what u got by accident. surely they can fix bad game bugs faster than 1-3 months after theyve been noticed and pointed out. do better for the player base and not just your own interests moonton. you have shown many times that something positive for the community is taken down or fixed in hours or days (nissalt bug, this w gold shit, etc) but when its something thats BAD ASF for the players(semrah stacks going back to max, arena boosting, etc) it takes weeks if not months for you to get around to fixing it. if this continues the way it has im out. id much rather spend my time and money with a company that shows actual care and speed in resolving problems for the player base and not just themselves as a company.
also, leave fasti tf alone lol he just made clear a reward you can get... that many were already doing. and if people werent punisshed for this and he didnt make a video about it yall would be made he DDIDNT make a video on it lol. just hush guys. its moonton's fault, be mad at them.

Whirlwind of events. As a player who didn't benefit from the exploit, but would've taken advantage of it, had I been able, I'm glad people didn't get punished too harshly. I totally sympathize with people who are angry that people didn't get punished more severely, particularly how this could affect PvP. But I'm of the perspective, that these gacha games shouldn't be about players vs players, or even players vs company. Its about making the game as accessible and enjoyable, for not just people who spend, but f2p as well.
I think you handled this very well. It was a chaotic situation and I know you got a lot of heat, but you didnt lash out and kept a level head. Much respect to you and don't worry about the crybabies out there!
Okay But people who were asleep now are left behind Those who cheated can get away with 1000-3000 diamonds and F2P PLAYERS like us are now stuck They probably already have bought Privilege card and other monthly stuff

Totally agree with this. Everyone with half a brain cell could have seen that this wasn't intended and maybe should have waited with spending the w gold to see what would happen. At the end of the day it's exactly as u say: if people decide to use it, it's their decision only. I think the right solution would have been to just make it available to everyone as we would have been able to get it eventually anyway.
Thank you Fasti for standing up for us! Also i have to admit i wouldn’t have thought Moonton is going to handle it this way, hats off! It shows the most that Moonton cares about the community. Thank you Moonton!
Whether it was a mistake or backtracking, I applaud Moonton for sorting it so quickly and good job bringing awareness to it. I was pretty passed about losing 30k but I sorta felt like they had no choice but to give them back because it's not worth killing their game over. As for the people who are angry about the solution, they're just sad people
Happy they fixed for those who did it, but i have a question if someone bought privilige card or some summons (example: ancients) does those remain in the account or also those are taken away? cause if not isn't this not fair for those that were for example sleeping cause of time zone and coulnd't do it?
they did my account a bit differently, instead of taking all the gems, they took about 3k( i had 11k now 9k), and they also took 20 shards (had 79 now 59), and who knows if they took something else. has this happened to someone else?
Still have 133 rares and 341 diamonds, +my monthly card and skin. Seems they took 4 ancients and a few rares, plus ~3k diamonds from me. So I still came out at a favorable advantage.
I'm not complaining about the -1k diamonds, mainly because of the fact I got 6 month privilege card, 1 month stamina card, 1 month summon card and Daily login card. The 6 month privilege card is something I wanted even as f2p. It's gonna help my account tremendously!
and this is the problem for those who didn't get the gold in the first place. How the F is 3k diamond comparable to the stuff you managed to buy? People who exploited and spent lucked out.
@@ChalkandCheetos It's not even in the same ball park. I'll pay back the 1k diamonds within 2 or 3 days. I feel bad for those who didn't get the same opportunity.
I feel like the -35000 diamonds was more of a bandaid. "Let's take this much while we figure out what an appropriate amount looks like before players spend all of their diamonds on summons."
I would like to point out that Moonton is the same company that makes us clock random NPCs around a campfire to complete an achievement and get rewards. So I don’t think it’s that far fetched that you click your avatar to get bonus points.
I simply do not understand all of the comments that people are getting freebies or getting a benefit the rest of us are not getting. Moonton already said they are going to fix the glitch and release the program again. Everyone will still get all of these rewards. I believe the diamond loss is different for each person, but probably somewhere between 3000-5000 .... little more or a little less. That means, to get 9050 w-gold 2-3 months early those who took advantage of Moontons mistake will have forfeited all of those diamonds as well as 18 regular summons, 5 ancient and all of the other rewards that were removed from there account. Maybe I am crazy or just to patient, but i am glad I did not make that exchange; especially with Hex and Twyla next week.
Engaging in an activity that is clearly a bug simply for quick gain because you think they can’t possibly punish you for it, does not mean they shouldn’t punish to the fullest extent possible. How many online games have banned people for abusing glitches or bugs for personal gain? Choosing to engage in an activity you know is clearly wrong does not put all the fault on the company for launching it as is. Maybe people need to have a bit of moral and ethical stance instead of just abusing stuff like this.
@@Binzob it has. The rewards were for everybody in the first place, it’s just that players should have gotten them over time and not at once with an exploit.

Just say your sorry , lesson learned and hey from now on ill put disclaimers jut giving info, you cant disclaimer now a video from yesterday retroactively.
It is good news, yes, however, it's still not right for a majority of the players in the game. A small portion of the players got a huge advantage from a bug, that in your video admitted that it was probably a bug, that you still knowingly took advantage of. When someone like this happened in Raid, players were suspended for 1 week to 1 month, here, you lost a few diamonds, meanwhile, most of us did not get and still don't have the opportunity to get the rewards. I am not suggesting players get suspended, but there should be some form of compensation to the players that didn't, for whatever reason, get the rewards that some others did. You did lose some diamonds, but you still have all of the rewards.
Dont know why the people who took advantage of the glitch would be mad at you mad loot to be negative 2000 diamonds? Basically like they loaned you 2k diamonds to make a purchase anyone mad is probably just jealous they dodnt get it
Genuinely agree. I missed out on the exploit but its always a community win to see the company ultimately doing something thats helps rather than hurts as. Shows they listen and that the voice of the community matters. Shout out to fastidious too for being the voice of the people on many occasions tbh
Most software companies don't punish their customers when their developers screw up and don't QA/QC things properly. YOU as a company are liable for zero-days that are a result of your processes, not your customer.
@Fastidious, bruh sorry you got so much hate. You did what any of us would do if we had your platform. You're the best bro, you and other CCs really do help move the needle for us players who feel like we can't be heard. All love my guy.
To be fair, it's the players' fault who exploit the bug. If Moonton deduct 35k diamond, it has the right to do so. And the players have the right to quit the game and to find a new game. Who will lost? Moonton or Players? Don't forget that Moonton generate a lot of money from this game and now players quit the game.

Hey fasty thanks for your efforts with this, but this remains absolutely disgusting from moonton. Imagine punishing players even 1 diamond for a mistake they made on a website! They obviously think we all live in a communist country. Not to mention everything you mentioned in your other video shows the mindset of the devs. I also find it disgusting they ninja did this without telling me. How dare they?! What else are they ninja changing to my account without telling me? What's to say they won't change the summoning rates of players who did this? We will never know. Most importantly, this sets a horrible precedent of how they handle situations like this. For example, players are actively exploring the praetus hammer bug in arena when ingrid is lord, giving them a massive unfair advantage against others doing the right thing. I will be on moonton about this like a dog on heat, and I encourage you all to do this.
Does anyone know if this sign in will feature be included with mobile apps? I don't have a windows computer or laptop yet so I can't do it on my computer, if they are still fixing it that's fine I just don't knownif mobile apps will have this feature or not
It’s super disturbing that this is good news. They messed up so players get a slap on the wrist? If a player wasn’t hacking something they shouldn’t be punished. Especially for clicking a button on their website. This is disgusting. I’m glad some people got refunded but both the way they handled it and the fact that anyone is getting punished at all is ridiculous
It's not your fault man, we're all grown ass adults everyone that took advantage of the bug knew very well it may have repercussions, all you did was show us a door you didn't make anyone walk thru that door. Sincerely keep up the awesome work, it's definitely appreciated
This is still a fuck up. People like me who waited to spend the w gold are screwed. I still lost the w gold and didn't just lose 3.5k gems worth. People who spent it got charged 3.5k which honestly comes to 3.5k w gold. I'm happy for most people but it is absolutely not the best solution and they did not fix it, it just caused more problems.
I don't want anyone to misunderstand me. I'm not saying people should've been debited 35k or even any. It's just fucked anyone gets anything others don't. They should've given it to everyone and been done with it. If they were going to charge people 3.5k diamonds for doing it, then that should've been the standard, and we keep the w gold. They are trying to please a small percentage and pissing everyone off when there were better options.
Ok, my balance went from -28k to 1.7K (I think it's a net loss of like 2K overall?). This feels much more fair and at least makes some degree of sense to me. I'm still a little concerned by the harsh, knee-jerk reaction, but at least they course-corrected eventually. Greater transparency would be helpful around this sort of thing in the future. I didn't even know what I was doing was a punishable offense or I'd have left the whole thing alone.
I didn’t do it because I missed it. I wouldn’t be upset with this punishment if I did, but I’m also not upset that I missed out on it now. I’ll be happy when I can complete it the way intended.
Honestly, the fact I didn’t get to get in on the exploit doesn’t really bother me much. It doesn’t change the game for me and like you said we will be given these rewards at some point in the future.
I'm at -1,000 diamonds now instead of -33,552. So much better. I'm ok with this fix. I have spent money before and idk if I'll spend money again but I feel better about maybe spending a small amount again.
In my view, community made a mistake induced by content creators (not youtubers fault - we are responsible for our own actions and we knew it was an exploit) but then most content creators worked as hard as they could (Fastidious looks exhausted) to fix it, and they did. Thanks and lets take the opportunity to learn yet again not to do wrong. Destined didn't pass the test though as he hid all day long....he does sound younger/childish though...he will get there
After everything is said and done, I was charged 4000 gems and the shards and Wgold are still gone. Much better. Still annoyed that I've now paid for the shards and don't have them but I'll just not give the company any real money.
I haven't played too many of these games, but yes, this was a very big mistake. But wow, that was a very fast fix. People who are bitter are just bitter in life, it seems. And to blame the content creators is pretty much a joke. They are here to help and give their best thoughts about the game people are playing. All they did was show you something that could help the players out. To jump all over them is wrong. You make the choice to make the final decision that suits you. Thanks to people like Fasti and others to try to make the gaming more enjoyable.
I don’t want people to get punished hardcore, a simple giving them what they had before would be simple fix. I just don’t think CC should be doing this type of things, they running a business and no body should be mass spreading this kinds of bug.
Its a wake up call for you fastidious. You knew bloody well this was an exploit and promoted it to your community. Dont get me wrong. I love your content normally. But i just dont want you losing your job. For the most part your contents brilliant. Just... careful thats all.
Great, next time everybody should exploit it and dont worry about consequences. -3k diamonds penalty given you had several ancients and could buy several legendaries sounds hilarious.
I don't understand why you're talking about a slap on the wrist and people complaining the punishment wasn't good enough when actually people that use this exploit are being rewarded. Spirit invocation pack is 10k w-gold (84 rare summon, 3300gems), if you bought it with the exploit Moonton basically just removed this amount of gems leaving you with + 84 rare summon. I think if all w-gold and what people bought with it were just removed nobody would complain. They're complaining because people who abused a bug got rewarded
I don't care what people think about you. Your a man of the players and dont bow down to the game developers. I am guessing that's why you have so many more viewers as a cc.
I want to pay 3000 diamonds for 12K Gold now, Moonton. Where do I make this transaction, please? Encouraging cheaters like this is an insult to the rest of the community. 35K diamonds was too harsh. 3000 diamonds is a joke.
SHOULDNT BE ANY "PENALTY"....Also... what about the 299 Wgold I had on my account and now I dont have that after the "fix"..? Yea... not spending anything in this joke of a game ever again
I still think 100 diamonds as compensation for those that didn't get it is not good enough, but I am happy that those that were in massive minus diamonds have the majority of them back.
Had 26.5k before then 29.5k after the event. This morning -5.7k. Back at 26.5k & took ancients and rare summons. I mean…. At least I got my gems back right?……………. Yeah. Anyway that’s my fault for proceeding. Thanks for your help fasti
No we're not miserable. You exploited a bug, you should have faced the consequences but instead because you're a content creator for Moonton and bring in players they're scared to do anything to you, which means they're scared to do anything to the rest of the players who did the same. . The people who did that and spent the W gold benefitted from this and those who didn't (either too late or chose not too didn't). Those who didn't will get the rewards later yes, but the those who did will also get that rewards again. the right thing for moonton to do should have been to grannt those rewards to the rest of us who didn't exploit this bug and banned you.
I’m still negative like 1300 diamonds but I’ll take it any day over negative 35000. They took away the 12 summons but left the ancients, divines and everything I got with the W gold so I’ll take that any day
I'm sorry, but they should get the same "compensation" as we get from them. The punishment should have only been 100 diamonds and 200 stamina. That would show a level of humor and self-awareness they don't seem to possess. Not everyone got to keep rewards. They also took 20 blue and 10 red summoning crystals from me.
keep your head up bro, it happened ,it got rolled back to a more reasonable number and we move on , dont sweat the small shit as they say .. be blessed mane
I don't understand this fix... I think it would have been easier to block the member center button for the players who abused this bug. I see comments that they were penalized by only 1k gems? How does that make sense? I also don't want them to be banner or penalizing them by 30k or 35k gems. Silly decision by devs... The button and the feature will come back, so removing the button for those player is a much better option
I only play mobile, and wasn't on in time, but the chances of me being able to tap a small ass area of my avatar with my fat thumbs is somewhere between slim and none.
People who chose to exploit an obvious bug got rewarded. I'm not really sure how that sits ok with anyone other than people that abused it and made out.
I don’t understand why this became an issue at all. Nobody got anything that they weren’t going to get for free anyway, they just got it a few days early. Now, they just have to wait a few days to get it all back. Am I missing something?
As a community I’m appalled at some of the hate I’ve seen towards Fasti. As a CC he is in reference a news reporter on WoR. It was news he reported on it. No one was upset for getting “caught “ people were upset at the amount. Take what was taken. We have no issue with that. But 10 TIMES the amount is what we’re upset about. We, the real ones, got you Fasti!
It was not just bringing the news. He said to spend the W Gold ASAP and didn't even do it himself. As much as I like content creators. They don't always do the right thing. I think it's content creators who ruined Diablo4 for me
@@glennhoremans5087 we were induced to exploit it asap, and there were NO videos advising not to spend the w-gold. Another oopsie by moonton and everyone forgives moonton. Stop getting angry and instantly forgive them when they "make it right". They do another oopsie and we'll go through this vicious cycle again and again.
My thoughts on the matter: 1) Content Creators did the right thing by making videos about this, doing it themselves and encouraging others to do it. It was a legitimate feature and rewards we were meant to earn, it's just Moonton's fault they don't do any QA on things they release first and make sure we can only do what we are supposed to do. 2) Their initial response was wrong and overkill, punishing players over 10x the "value" is never the correct thing to do, especially when there is no actual value in the data you are buying. 3) They missed out on a major marketing and goodwill gesture by not just leaving it up for everyone to claim, announcing the rewards system and drawing in both new and returning players to their game. 4) Those of us who got the rewards should have got everything back since they will bring the feature back in the future and we should have everything already bought out in it meaning we will have lost rewards for no reason, otherwise we traded 3k gems for ~$90 of W-gold and will get to do the event again in the future. 5) They need to have this kind of response time to problems we players have with broken mechanics and not react so fast to things that benefit us. If they would have just waited till Monday to come up with a reasonable response and let us know first it would have been taken a lot better than antagonizing your player base and then back peddling due to backlash.
Please ask them when the people who missed out on this will be able to get these rewards. Now that so much stuff has happened, we would like to hear some concrete details instead of just we will get these "eventually".
I’m short 2k gems and I’m ok with that but I expect to get the rewards when they come out again. I did summon 90 ancients in case it was my last play. Oh well, guess I’m out of the new Twyla banner.
I am cool with the fix and anyone blaming a CC is just being lazy and not taking accountability for their action. I lost the rewards but my diamonds are no longer-14k.
Yep just checked mine and I went from -20k to 11k plus so I lost about 5k in diamonds and I'm ok with that. Ty fasti for jumping on this and getting our diamonds back. Keep up the great work
@fastidious_gg I spent most Wgold and those purchases look to be active, I had ~300 Wgold leftover that was removed along with the 5 ancients, 18 blue shards and 4Kgems
This is still not a fix. Having negative diamonds going into their upcoming banners....... for what? Because Moonton fucked up? Not cool at all, there should have been no slap on the wrist or penalty at all. They messed up not us. They should have just taken the L and given stuff to those who didn't exploit. Could have been the heroes and made it a positive for everyone. Instead lots of us won't being participating in these highly anticipated banners coming up.
@fastidious_gg @fastidious_gg kinda technically...... we can't keep everything....... atleast I didn't. I didn't get to keep the stuff from the Advanced Growth Fund. That all poofed.
When everyone got their diamonds back, my account, which didnt spend the wgold, had its gems reduded by 30k. Similiarly i had a large amount like 25+ reduced from blue and 15 from red shards. Again, i didnt spend the w gold.
The reality is this was too good to be true. I saw the original video and thought it must have been BS cause gatchas are just never this generous, ever. Moonton really messed up by starting the roll back with 35k. Now that it's down to 3.5k gems it's an amazing deal, congrats to those of you who got it!
