This is a common missed layered joke, but Janice mostly likely told Regina that she was Lebanese when they were kids and Regina thought that she meant Lesbian...thus the break up of their friendship and the rumors.
It’s cute but I don’t think this theory is necessary and I don’t see evidence for it. The movie gives a perfectly good explanation of why Regina thinks Janis is a lesbian. They were close friends but then Regina got a boyfriend she started spending time with instead of Janis and Janis was upset about that. Regina interpreted her close friend being bitter about a decline in their social interaction as Janis being “obsessed” with her in a romantic way. Regina couldn’t understand how a friend could legitimately just be upset about their friendship being affected by Regina having a boyfriend, which is perfectly in character for her. If this “lesbian/Lebanese” thing were true it would just make Regina look dumb.
@@marklowe4078 Lol what, of course it was intentional, it's the entire reason they have Kevin G ask Janis if she's Latina at the end of the movie. There's no other reason to put that in there, it's so random, and they would've just said "Middle Eastern" instead. Lebanese is not even one of the first 5 Middle Eastern ethnicities to come to mind for most people, it's too specific to randomly make her that. Also- all the stuff you said are still reasons Regina was worried Janis was lesbian, but she probably heard that Janis was Lebanese in passing and misheard it or heard it from someone else and it was like a game of telephone.
@@londonbordeaux That's Janice mocking all the gossip about her. It's not a "theory", learning she's Lebanese is literally the punchline of the ongoing joke.
Totally unsurprising that he loves Regina lmaoo Jimmy loves a scheming blonde (Draco Malfoy) and a well done female villian (Azula, Cersei L at times) Regina is right up his alley 😌
Not ashamed to say that I love this movie lol. Its a genuinely solid film with some clever humor. I had to have watched it at least 20 times when i was a kid alone.
Oh and Rachel McAdams is a living legend. She’s wearing a blonde wig in this movie bc it was the same year she filmed The Notebook (she had shorter brown hair) She made TWO legendary movies in one year 🚀
If any of his Patreons complain about this one I recommend he kick them out haha. But honestly I can't imagine anyone will, the internet looooves _Mean Girls_ and well deserved.
I'm so glad Jimmy included that and you liked it too, it always cracked me up haha. "It's go time." Underrated moment in the most chaotic part of the film!
This is my desert island movie. I can watch it over and over and over ….never will get bored of it! One of the most quotable movies of the early 2000’s! My Dad is even a huge fan and will quote it at least once a week. His favorite.. “whatever, I’m getting cheese fries”
Mean Girls gets all the credit for the best "chick flick" of all time but I put it up there as one of the best comedies of all time and it rarely gets the credit it deserves. It was really awesome to see you react to this!
“Evil takes form in Regina George.” Fucking love it. I love Regina! Altho, I just love Janis & Damian. “She doesn’t even go here!” - I say this at least once a week. This is just sooo well written. Tim Meadows “I will keep you here til 4” 🤣. Great reaction Jimmy 👊!
I think this was the beginning of the peak decade of Tina Fey. 30 Rock was so good. I sometimes wonder how they could let Tracy Morgan be himself so much, but I quickly realize there's no stopping it, either.
Seeing this made my day as I wouldn't have expected this one from you but I absolutely saw this in theaters back in the day. As others have said, we love a combining of worlds with you as a fave reactor and this movie as a classic movie I grew up on 👏🏿💜
I never understood how she was even allowed to take the fall for the burn book when she was a new student that year, and 90% of the burn book was rumours from the first few years of school and elementary rumours. Lol
I love when Jimmy apologizes for liking a "bad" character who, if he thought about it for 3 seconds, would know every fan must agree is insanely charismatic :)
Hah! So weird you just did this one, I have been straying into another channel and JUST watched _Mean Girls_ from their archive from like a year ago... Totally good enough to recap twice though!
This movie and "Crazy, Stupid, Love" (that title my god🤮) are the only chick flicks I fully enjoyed "Crazy, Stupid, Love" has Steve Carell, Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone and is worth a watch
It's crazy how you're so reluctant to say you like the movie. Are you so strictly tied down by stereotypes that you can't allow yourself to admit you enjoy something because you're so concerned of what other people will think of you? You might need to re-examine why you feel the need to stick so strongly to stereotypes. You're too smart for that.
