Welcome Back to the channel , I know it’s been a while I’ve not had the time .
In this video I ask Robin Along for the opening morning on the geese . Chris kindly said he’d come along and film the morning for us also. I had been watching the field for over a week with well over a thousand greylag .
It was the usual format all 3 of us dug in then covered the soil with straw that I’d collected the night before.
The setup was a mixture of greylag silo socks & shell decoys set out .all around us .
My gun I’m using is a Beretta A400 Extra , using fiocchi 35g 2s choke is a Carlson Half choke .
Robin’s gun is a Winchester SX 3 again using fiocchi cartridges.
The geese have been coming for 0600 /0615 every morning. On the opening morning they decided to have a lay in and started coming around 0700 .
It started off slow but it soon started picking fast with us both having some nice shots .
We kept a eye on the number , we both decided that we had enough shooting , so decided to call it .
