Do you consider feminist ideology to be righteous? @@stevecampbell1308 If you read the Bible in its original Hebrew or Greek text it is so different than the English versions. A lot of people don't realize that Elohim and Yahweh are not the same. Elohim means Pantheon and in particular the Canaanite Pantheon. So when Yahweh says I am your Elohim it means Yahweh is the entire Pantheon, hence monotheism. Mistranslations cause so many problems. So think about the "fallen angels" that is mistranslated. Bene Elohim would not be sons of God, but rather sons of Canaanite gods.

All of this is honestly completely unnecessary to figure out that all Abrahamic religions are based in mythology. All 3 religions worship the same god; the god of Abraham. The god of Abraham is Yahweh, as is explicit in this video. But all one needs to do to figure out it's nothing more than mythology is to look back even further than the original texts of the Torah (OT) and trace back the origin of the god Yahweh. This deity originated in an ancient Canaanite polytheistic religion which we all know to be mythology. He was merely one of many gods. A group of these polytheists split off from the polytheistic religion and started worshipping Yahweh exclusively. This group still believed and accepted those other gods as real. They just didn't worship them, only Yahweh. It was called "Yahwism". Which eventually evolved into Judaism. The time of Yahwism is where the idea that he's a "jealous god" comes from and that they should put "no other god before" him. Some of those other deities are even mentioned in the Bible. Asherah, Baal and others for example. Now, if we can trace this god back to polytheism and dismiss all the other deities as myth, then why in the world wouldn't you also conclude that Yahweh is a myth....and therefore dismiss all Abrahamic religions that come from the character? See? Done. Moving on.

Very interesting presentation, my argument against Yahwehs existence is where is this unsupported, undemonstrated, unfalsifiable bald assertion? The claim is established where is it? The answer is nonsensical as it is an assumption that at some point there was nothing which is itself an undemonstrated, unsupported, unfalsifiable claim. Then next part is a presumption to solve the assertion that something or everything cannot come from nothing you need a deity. They never explain why they just assert that you do. I’d like to point out that in itself nullifies the assertion of nothing as the deity would be something. When you point out that energy could supplant a deity as the sole thing that converts to matter thus the universe we know they just resort to what created the energy. When you ask what created the deity the response is nothing it always existed but energy requires a creator. There’s more to this rebuttal of their claims but in reality it need go no further to demonstrate the incoherence, inconsistence, and nonsensical construct they’ve presented and we haven’t even touched on outside space and time. 🙄
Nothing is true when it comes to religion. And I can deal with that. Still happy I got to have this experience. If religion wasn’t coming hand in hand with war and xenophobia. I wouldn’t have a problem with it. But history proves religion has caused a lot of problems. It has however done many things great on the account. Not a fair trade off. I believe in my heart we could have got to where we are today without it. Stories. We can move ourselves with stories. This much we know. Why not use that. But knowingly. The main criticism I have of you have your channel is the constant appeals to authority and name dropping, as if personally knowing these academics makes them correct. Then you spend the first 5 minutes arguing from authority and introducing this guys credentials, doing exactly as I described. By 8:10 you had dropped as many names you possibly could. You’re all caught up on taking metaphors literally. YHWH is not a particular being that you can quantify and qualify, but Being itself related to the verbs Hayah, Hoveh, Yiyeh. Also the expression Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh (Exodus 3:14). When YHWH is understood as Being, this sort of question collapses in on itself. The linguistic and socio-cultural origin of the term in question is secondary to the primary ontology that it reflects, not as a character like Zeus, Indra, Thor, Baal Hadad, Marduk etc., but as Being itself. To take the descriptions of YHWH in the Bible in a literal fashion is a form of idolatry in the mind; this is what Jewish philosophers have been saying all along at least since Maimonides. So whatever socio-linguistic terms that God is called by or whatever myth enshrouds the mystery, it doesn’t effect the ontology one way or another since these terms reflect a reality that is not transparent to human language but is ineffable in its essence. So let the atheists and Biblical literalists have this lower level debate “is YHWH a “particular being” analogous to Zeus”. Only if you take certain passages within the most literal manner. I believe in God, YHWH, Parabrahman, Paramatman, the Monad; these are distinct socio-cultural terms that allude to the One Being, Source Eternal, Infinite ♾️ No one is ever going to boggle it down and analyze it in a test tube. As one who has studied Eastern theology for more than 50 years, I of course agree with Jaco's conclusion that Yahweh does not exist. But this fellow Yahweh is a concept developed by ancient Israelites, an angry, jealous, arrogant, bloodthirsty, anthropological concept. We don't need fancy arguments to convince us this very undeity-like Yahweh never existed. A small amount of common sense is all that is required. But Yahweyistic atheism has no effect on the concepts of God held on the Eastern side of the planet. Pick up the work of Patanjali or Ramakrishna or Aurobindo. Their concept of God is hugely different, vastly deeper and more profound. These ideas tend to be inscrutable to most Westerners, but nothing could be more worth doing, than breaking through the intellectual barriers that keep us from knowing them.

This was the big issue with the Pharisees they only cared about the outward expression of faith an belief they demonstrated their "faith" by holding to the letter of mosaic law which Jesus showed them was wrong with a few key examples like a Shepard working on the sabbath by rescuing one of his sheep that had fallen into a pit. The Pharisees would have you murdered for that but nobody knows the law better than the law giver himself.
@@laszlokiss483 you realize this was Paul’s beef with the Pharisees, right? Christianity was originally just for Jews. For whatever reason, Paul thought the Romans could to be Christians, too, but it was too tough a sell to get the Romans to circumcise and keep the Torah. Paul mass marketed it.

It wasn't just for "Jews" either "Jews" are Judeans not every Israelite was a Judean therefore not all Israelites are or were Jews. Paul was correct in that salvation after the sacrifice of Jesus was extended to all so that anybody can be saved so long as they accept Jesus into their hearts. Even before Jesus's time God had promised to bless ALL NATIONS through Abrahams descendants. Genesis 18:18 - “Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him.” Jesus is the fulfilment of that promise to Abraham and Paul was merely reminding the Pharisees of what their own books actually say and promised.

I adapted! I woke up one day and knew I would never go back to the Catholic church. I went to parochial school, got married in the church, was teaching CCD (Confraternity of Christian Doctrine) to 7th grades for 5 years, and had done a long months long intensive program called Christ Renews His Parish, I knew that I was done when I was 35 in 1985 and have now studied for 39 years. I agree Paul! The evidence is obvious plus I have my own photos. We are not alone and I am excited to meet our neighbors. I have lived in my home for 52 years and only two neighbors speak to us because we are not on their train to nowhere. I believe many cosmic neighbors will be friendlier. Neighbors hell -- ancestors!!!
I also live in the same house in a track home since 1971 and only one neighbor as come over and visited my be three times. When outside in front we do wave or even say good morning or how your doing
@@edwardhayes6113 Yeh I know. We are outliers but I honestly think it's a missed opportunity for them to have teachers as neighbors. My neighbor next door was a neighbor growing up and babysat my kids and she has a handicapped boy and is home and we are friends. 😏we had a guy across the street who committed suicide because of Parkinsons. I worked in drug and alcohol research and could have turned him onto help with cannabis.

Just because he mispronounces it doesn't mean he doesn't know what the word means. There's been plenty of words I've read over and over and know the meaning of and then later find out I'm pronouncing them wrong. He's probably just never heard the word aloud.
