Rob, Thank you for an impressive reaction, that was a first for me, a reaction that compared the original singer, and then looked at the cover version, and you're right, there was a huge difference in that Sofia was live on a stage with the band playing with her, and Emma was singing it in her home studio, with the music as a recorded track to give her the song guidance, and there is indeed a significant difference in their ages, and in their experience, at that time, Emma was only 14, and not yet well known outside of Holland, and she wasn't yet singing in front of large audiences in the way she is now, and despite those significant differences, Emma's cover is impressive, and in some ways, for me, stronger than the live performance, subtle differences, the difference between 2 very different singers, and I'm not sure I can express an opinion as to which is better, they both have strengths that make them good, and I too am impressed with how well Emma does effectively a cold recording with no atmosphere or encouragement, to sing as well as she did in isolation in her home studio is impressive. Now, I'll throw a couple of other thoughts into the pot for you to consider. In recent days, Emma's been incredibly busy, between a busy schedule with Andre as part of his world tour, and then a number of special events in Holland relating to the liberation concerts, Emma's done a number of songs we've not heard before, the first I will let you know about is a duet performed with April Darby, with the Dutch Royal family and a number of high ranking politicians present, they sang together 'When you believe' ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YG8WV1GFt_c.html Emma's time and experience over the last 9 months with Andre, and her experience in front of large audiences have helped her gain the experience to perform comfortably with large events, and the two of them absolutely nailed a stunning performance. Another duet, a bit earlier, another special event, as is visible from the video, recorded to help raise funds for a children's hospital in the Netherlands, Alma Nieto and Emma Kok singing for Erasmus MC Sophia Children's Hospital. 'Live your dream, 23/05/22 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-G4BrGe79PIE.html This song still predates her being launched onto Andre's stage, that happened in July of 2023, and at the time, a number of us said that her performance of Voila was perfection, and it would be very hard for it to be beaten, but I have to admit, I hadn't taken Emma's drive and determination into consideration, she's very much like Andre in some respects, she too is a perfectionist when it comes to her singing, and she's not content to do the same again, she takes the time to review her performances to see if there's anything that could be improved, and it's very apparent, I had the joy of good seats at a live concert in Dublin a week ago, and Emma has made a number of subtle changes to how she delivers Voila, Andre is clearly happy to let her do that, and those changes have made what we all thought was perfection an even better delivery, she got an extended and enthusiatic standing ovation at the end of Voila, and again at the end of her second song, a few days later, an audience capture of the two songs she performed was put into RU-vid, it was the concert in Wembley, and Emma did Voila, followed by a Michael Jackson song, 'Heal the world', which involves the whole orchestra, and the sopranos and tenors, and Emma shines out even when everyone is involved, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_toRF1aGf68.html Andre is very much allowing her to gently blossom and deliver some very powerful songs, and be very much a star in his environment, and I'm hoping that will encourage both of them to continue their cooperation beyond the world tour, Emma's effectively still a minor in terms of the legal definition, so her performing times, and the allowed times on stage are very heavily regulated, so her involvement with Andre is a very good place for her to be for now, and I'm hoping that Andre will continue to encourage her, building towards a time when she reaches adult age, and is no longer limited by legal constraints, the only limitation she'll be up against will be the limits imposed by her disease and the need to be connected to her pumps. I close with my normal comments, and make no apologies for doing everything I can to encourage people to support Emma's foundation. One of the key people in the team is a surgeon with significant experience of treating gastroparesis patients, but as a result of a worsening of her condition, as she too suffers from this same disease, she has been forced to leave her position as a surgeon, so her focus now is on the work of the foundation, and achieving some new results to help provide answers or treatments. It would be more than wonderful to hear that a result of the work of the foundation is a treatment or cure that will enable Emma to realise her other dream, and be free of the feeding tube regime, and able to perform more as the incredible singer that she is, and it may be the help of people in this community that makes this a reality.

Dear Rob , Personally, I like Emma's version better, because her voice is nicer and the song is faster. And for Emma's voice, there isn't much difference between performing live or in the studio.

Sofia is a very competent entertainer. . But Emma reaches down to your soul, twists your guts, and leaves you a changed person.
