They're Actually Saving this Dragon Ball Game? 

Broly’s gimmick is mostly just not having to worry about evolution. He’s strong and based on fighting rather than worrying about leveling up on time- Dragon Ball rushing is no longer an option to have to worry about, and o think that’s a pretty fun gimmick

Honestly, always liked this game just because it's actually something different in the Dragon Ball Universe and not just the 3d fighter format we've had for 15 years. I still play this a lot with my friends. I just hope this doesn't mean Bandai go back to making just 3d fighters and make some unique takes on gaming with Dragon Ball. It reminds me of Shinobi Striker. People complain about it a lot but I find Shinobi Striker matches like under a minute.

It’s actually technically going free to play on PlayStation due to it becoming free for the PS Plus monthly thing (not officially announced but it has been leaked)

The game has never been dead, even in the middle of a season it only ever really took me 2 minutes to find a match on Switch. Population numbers vary drastically depending on the system.

Came up with a raid idea for Janemba. The raid would be themed around the demons/devils. The map would have 2 stages, one before janemba corruption and then one after. There would be 3 small "soul collection stations" around the map, with 1 large "soul cleansing machine" in the north. Stage 1: Would be (spike the devilman) in which the raider would go around killing survivors and npcs for energy like normal. Once (spike the devilman) reaches max energy, (Dabura) will appear, killing him. Stage 2: The raider, now (Dabura) would no longer gain energy through killing players and npcs, instead have the objective of destroying the 3 "soul collection station". Once all 3 are destroyed the raider, (Dabura) would be retired for the match. As a cutscene plays showing a meltdown at the "soul cleansing machine" for all players and the corruption of the orge kid turning him into (Fat Janemba). Skills: Same health pool as second form cell. Stone spit move, in which he spit 3 projectiles out in a burst, stunning the survivors for 8 seconds. Flame breath sweep move for short/mid range. A normal burst move for defense. Ki sense. Map changes: crystal beans will appear all over the map. If the super-time machine is present, a large crystal bean will incase it, preventing it from being worked on by survivors or passively gaining progress. This crystal can be broken by survivors for half the time it would take to charge the super-time machine. Stage 3: The raider, now (Fat Janemba) would start at the north, the "soul cleansing machine". (Fat Janemba) would slowly gain energy, and after 5 minutes would transform in (super Janemba). The raider can shorten this time by executing survivors or npc. 30 seconds per survivor and 10 for npc. Unlike other raiders (Fat Janemba) execution can not eliminate players. Skills: (Fat Janemba) would be immune to all damage but still takes fair knockback for flurry melee attacks and slight slowing for large ki blast/wave attacks. The raider would be unable to fly and be pretty slow when walking, but would have great jump distance and a roll attack for movement. A teleporting punch move for short/mid range and a rapid fire cannon move from its belly holes for long/mid. Ki sense. 4 stage: The raider now (Super Janemba) can once again fly. Have perfect cell levels of health. And once again be able to eliminate survivors. Skills: (Super Janemba) would be able to teleport long distances sometimes like using the survivors grappling hook, 2 times in a row. Flying sword slashes for his standard ki blast. His ultimate for fighterz, "needle light shower". Some portal strikes. A powerful upward sword slash for an ultimate.

I think they REALLY need to make the game F2P like Mha UR. Crossplay may help a LOT. But f2p is needed

Is it just me or, like, on the late game the breakers becomes outright the most accurate dragon ball fighting game? Like, its just so much similar to Dragon Ball

In my opinion, what they should have done is use the old Broly consept as a Raider as the guy was an actual sadist in the movies that was fun to watch, and put the DBS Broly as a transformation instead. They could also put Cheelai as a survivor, and Mr Satan as an extra survivor.

The game is so much fun I literally never get bored but the grind is tough especially for a game you have to pay for that’s my only real issue is the over minimization If the game became free to play and they just offered all prior players in game currency equivalent to the games price i feel like while some people would be pissed for the most part it would be fine

Just started playing. Had my heart pounding on the first couple games. Lot to learn. Both sides are fun to play. Glad I came across it and that it's getting some attention

If you are a legitimate Dragon Ball fan this game is extremely underrated. If it had only cost 5$ or just been free from the beginning it's reception would have been much more successful. At the time of it's release 20$ was just an insane ask for what the game was at the time and it kind of still is now but if they keep adding raiders that are requested by the fans and genuinely entertaining content I could see a resurgence in the community. Its a new take on dragon ball games as a whole and I really enjoy playing it. Instead of mind numbingly playing FPS amd hating myself I actually enjoy myself and have fun when I play this game.

Most online discussion of this game has consistently been people who don't play it saying it's dead. I've been playing it maybe a couple times a week for a year on the PS4 and i have always been able to find a match in under 10 minutes at the absolute maximum.

My appreciation for Broly stems from his abilities that counter the main meta, his "magnet" ability counters the most obnoxious combination in this game, which is energy barrier (that stops the raider from hitting them) and instant transmission (allows survivors to tp to any teammate in the game), his magnet does this by grabbing them even if they're in the energy barrier, effectively negating the combo and leaving him open to downing a survivor, it makes what was previously an annoying guaranteed survivor escape, an actually engaging back and forth thing where the raider still stands a chance at a kill, but a survivor stands a chance at an escape, he also has the energy barrier which prevents premade squads from demolishing him as easy as they can the likes of Vegeta and Frieza

When I heard Broly was going to be the raider, I was trying to guess how you could give him “four stages.” Turns out, the answer was: You don’t. Kind of interesting that he just starts at 2 from the get go, but it would have been fun if he did start off like “controlled” first and then upon reaching a threshold or time limited, he went into his rage form (and then go from there between SSJ and full power). Either way though, the cross play announcement has to account for something about some success for breakers. If the game was dying, why invest that money? Either way, it does make me curious if they do plan on even more seasons after Broly or if things will slow down at this point.

I've been playing since the start and the community/population has been pretty active the whole time. At least from my PoV (Also I'm super glad they finally re-enabled RaiderQ)

Well hopefully Broly opens up more raider potential since they are willing to do ones that start at level 2, Cooler being a good example.

Broly has second area destruction on level 4 is VERY fast and different And land his ultimate on survivor or civilians gives more evolution than execution

Ngl broly is fun asf, a fighting version of cell's hunter gameplay. If a person likes fighting then broly is all about that smoke. 5:00 interestingly enough lv 2 broly gets more change if he kills the civi with his super attack (the aoe) instead of finishing them off because of his passive.

The longest I've had to wait for matches is at most 8 min least 10 sec it varies based on timezone and time of day

Tbh even tho Broly doesnt have a quirky pitch for his kit beyond starting at Level 2, he enables a very fun aggressive playstyle without trapping the Raider in fights he cant win. You can just go steamroll people and he feels very invincible at times which is something that you usually get after leveling up a little, it makes me wish the game was always this fast and crazy, seems great for newer players

The game has always had a following and has never been dead as a game overall. Xbox and Pc have had less players, which is what everyone used to claim the game was dying. On switch and especially PS it has always had an active player base. The game has also had many patches that have improved the balance of the game. It’s not perfect and it still has power creep on side (The survivors as the end of season 3), but it isn’t just using meta skills and playing selfish. The meta is stuns, which can be used on raiders. Overall this has made team coordination a more important factor in games. Making it harder for raiders to win premade teams but I feel it balance out on solo queue. The monitzation system could be much better and would benefit from being free to play. It isn’t as bad as many say though. The only thing you may have to buy is the raider but besides that you can manage pretty well without spending money on summons. I’ve done so for 2 seasons. Overall this game has its problems but at the end of the day it’s fun, and has a pretty chill player base for the most part. It’s so easy to trash this game and I think most content creators went that route. It’s okay to not like It but the amount of comments and video I have seen about breakers being bad to get some interaction is apparent. I was skeptical of the game my first time but it’s a game I like. Different isn’t bad and I think some Dragonball fans don’t know this. Breakers got hate, Daima getting hate, super was getting hate until it was more like Z. If it isn’t like Z then people are not interested. Which is perfectly valid. You know what you like and are here for and that’s respectable. The problem is when you adamantly desire to spread drama about something you don’t know much about. As you can I’ve had a lot to say and I’m happy the devs see something great in this game like it’s fans have. While I agree with ironing out a lot of issues the game has I think it’s just as important to appreciate passion projects the devs want to release over time. We can’t have new experiences with the same format over long periods of time. Connections initially got flack for it but I’m glad some people are not seeing it as storm 4 below. That’s all I have to say, be respectful in the comments because I feel this is gonna bring a lot of different opinions.

I actually really like broly's gimmick. At first I was worried because broly was starting at level 2, and I thought it would be super unbalanced, but no they kinda balanced it out with the survivors getting something as well. (p.s. the first transpire can also turn you into a super saiyan instead of super saiyan god)

Would love a janemba in the game. I have some ideas for the stages. Stage 1:the boy He would have to run from survivors to get to a location in which a cutscene then plays turning him to fatnemba Stage 2: fatnemba U can level up as normal and u skip lv 3 and go to super janemba with the sword however if the survivors kill you u go to stage 3 no sword and have to gather more energy to lv to stage 4 which would be gaining the sword

The game is actually really fun when properly balanced. The problem is the devs idea of balancing is buffing the raider up to a point where a chimpanzee can kill at least 5 of the 7 survivors. Playing survivor used to be a blast, but now is painful especially when the good survivor skills are behind a paywall. A real fun concept handled atrociously.

This game will continue to live as it's a very great! Very fun to play.

I would say i liked this game but i hated the Raider queue times. If it worked on Steam Deck i would try it again

I've never struggled to find a match, I don't think it's ever died but it's definitely had some patches that almost killed it a few times. I don't think it'd do better as a free to play game. Bots, hackers, server issues from a large influx of people, the need for more moderation etc- the games gatcha system would need improving and they'd likely need to do some prep for it. I think from a business standpoint, it's something they'll probably look into at a later date when the player count gets dangerously low or the sales dies down enough to need a fresh batch of players.

It helps that was free in November on PS4 and PS5. That's what got me into it

I love this game I don’t play it much but I love the concept/the idea of it all, like damn it’s just a great time.

2:17 the entire “gimmick” is that there are NO dragonballs to save Survivors. Broly gets back almost all of his health every transformation he goes through. Super Transpheres take the place of dragonballs and multiple can spawn in one match but not at the same time. There’s no way that the Survivors can just “jump” the Raider. There must be hit and run tactics deployed if the survivors even stand a chance

Broly's gimmick seems to be that there's no gimmick at all. JUST FIGHT. It turns the game from a 'killer vs. survivor' type, into a full-on brawl. Running and hiding for survivors is actually bad, because they need to get transformations as quickly as possible before Broly just kills them. It becomes more of a tag-in type style, where whoever DOES have a transformation needs to distract Broly long enough for the next person to get a transformation. Any cowardice by individual members can result in a team loss.

The green energy around Broly and obscene power level is Broly being legendary. Green hair just means he has mastered super Saiyan, and is now a full power super Saiyan. Also, is it just me, or is Broly mastering super Saiyan in just about an hour or so (in universe time) the coolest thing ever, with the most potential out of every character ever. Broly is legendary regardless of full power, or super Saiyan status, and BTdubs, Broly was able to contend with SSGSS as simply a SSJ grade 2-3. I say 2-3 because Broly is pretty buff as is, so saying definitively one way or the other would be imposing, but SSJ grade 3 isn't the same as super Saiyan 3, in that it's weaker than SSJ 2, and is what Vegeta did in the cell arc, because it's less of it's own form more of just getting buff whilst super Saiyan. Also also, am I the only one who hates that the legendary effect in Dragon Block C is basically just aesthetic and not only doesn't mean anything, but is *JUST* a super Saiyan recolour that doesn't even affect the oozaru form? I mean, I *GUESS* the "rage" form is channelling the oozaru form, but like, SSJ 4 in Dragon Block C still has a green aura if legendary, so what's up with that? (Edit): Actually it's pronounced... I don't know how to properly explain how it's pronounced, but basically the same pronunciation but the "i" makes an "E" noise, so it's spelled Whis but pronounced WhEEs, but said like there's only one E, but it's still a stressed E? I think that should suffice as an explanation, but I really don't feel like elaborating any more... So, TLDR; Just say it like you normally do, except replace the "i" sound with "E", without elongating the "E" sound. Also, I wasted 20k spirt on the motionless Kamehameha, when I could've bought that Whis move, and I'm extremely jealous, because now I can't buy that Whis move, and I already thought about how that move would probably be better.

You say he isn't anything special,yet they give the survivors more ways to combat Broly with the super transpheres. They give the survivors multiple "level 4s" to be able to hold him back. It's a whole new thing to deal with, and adapt to. Being a raider and having 2 "get off me" moves makes him special right there too. He's not a pushover if multiple people are trying to get big damage. The best you can do is distract him with the super transpheres. Otherwise you all just lose. If he finds one of you,it's a guaranteed death. Raiders usually have a scouter,or a ki sense,or minions. Broly has nothing. He will only see you and kill you. That's if you are seen. With Broly, you have almost nothing to escape. Once he sees you,if the Broly is good enough,ur done. Even with Frieza, if you find someone, they can A17 barrier, then Instant Transmission out of there. Broly can counter it. He is special. I wanna say you have an opinion but in this case,it is subjectively wrong. With a good enough Broly player,you can't escape once seen. Only way to combat him,is from the super transpheres
