Today we dive back into Hitman Freelancer to attempt to finish a campaign already fraught with disaster. The Target's know were coming, but is that enought to stop Agent 47?

As someone who goes back and watches your old videos periodically, I think your Freelancer videos are some of your best. Either way, seeing you've uploaded brightens my day. Great work, I can't wait for part 2!

Protip: You can shoot a knocked out NPC with the Sieker (and presumably the Kalmer, never tried that one) and it still counts for them getting poisoned. It takes effect if/when they get revived. Edit: I clearly commented this *before* you actually did it and realised it worked. Leaving it in though just for future reference!

The bit of a game changer I recently stumbled on in Freelancer is that there is a chance a free coin will spawn at the hitmansion in a birds nest either to the right of the little beach, heading towards the meditation spot, or in a tree stump near the helicopter pad. It's not a 100% spawn (though if you REALLY want one, then exiting from the safehouse into the menu and going back into it re-rolls the spawns... So really, they might as well have just made it a 100% spawn if you know where to look, but IOI does IOI) but it lets you go into a mission with a completely disposable coin that you don't have to worry about losing.

Freelancer just had so much potential, it’s a shame that it had to come into the WOA Trilogy in a time where many people had moved on… it’s such an underrated game mode I think, it deserves more love. Thanks for giving it the appreciation it deserves!

yeah if it came out togetehr with Hitman3 it could have been really great now its just grinding semi random levels because the unlocks are not realy worth it and way to late.... if it would actually unlock usefull stuff for the normal game.. but becasue its only an aftethought we got this..

Yeah, Freelancer is just a grind while it’s fun in the beginning it just becomes repetitive and boring… definitely think if the rewards you unlocked could actually be used everywhere in the game (Like some new tools, weapons, items, suits etc.) it would be much more worth it… but while the cosmetics for the house are cool… it’s extremely niche at the end of the day…

@@GrittyGame it would have already made a bigger impact if they had changed the main menu to be the safehouse (something i hoped for in payday 2 aswell as the safehouse was announced) it would have made sense for 3 as he literally leaves his organisation and needs a place to stay so he takes an old safehouse... just have the office unlocked and hold the normal missions on his PC and done... you have a training area in the basement where you can use all weapons you unlock and even a better ground for a tutorial if needed... maybe have the actual freelancer locked behind finishing the main missions and the dissappearing loot stuff could have been implemented as he then is an actual freelancer while the normal missions still use the normal prepare screen but hindsight is better than any game dev..

Draws in guard to pick up breaching charge, snipes targets with Sieker, literally sneaks past 4 guards, twice, in order to drown target.. Then goes on to risk Silent Assassin by backtracking to the helicopter escape rather than just throwing an object on the other side of the trolley to draw the enforcer away from the exit. That's the Mooney we know and love! 😅

25:28 - Normal mode is the Professional mode from the campaign, so even in Alerted territories NPCs won't hear your steps when crouch-running. It only applies in Hardcore mode, where the amount of lookouts in showdown missions is insane, including the very first syndicate.

I find it hilarious too, while playing. I have intel that my target has never consumed any water in their lifetime! Also, dehydrated suspects may end up drinking alcohol which makes you even more dehydrated As for explosives, I think standard explosives get disarmed by guards when picked up. That's where the micro and duck explosives are more useful

7:09 IIRC, there's usually coins in your medicine cabinet in your room on Hokkaido. They're SOMETIMES there in Freelancer. Sometimes not. I've seen it appear and not appear.

Makes zero sense that the unsilenced pistol challenge gives you the exact same amount of money as the silenced one. It should give you way more than that since it's less stealthy and likely to end up giving you away.

Will we be able to watch you play the new elusive target which is called "The Drop" Btw, this elusive target is about a real life character, Dimitri Vegas, it's the same way IO did in Hitman 2016 with Gary Busey, and Hitman 2 with Sean Bean. I hope to see you play it as soon as possible because the deadline to try it is next Monday.

On Hokkaido, you can get to the snow mobile exit via the spa very easily (silent assasin/suit only)

No they don't hear footsteps on alerted territories. But they do on Hardcore Mode. I usually take an emetic dart gun with me if nothing else to move some of the damn enforcers out of the way. Still don't know why they call it unsilenced pistol kill epic. You literally only have the El Matador, all other epic pistols are silenced. Nice job though, loved it

I'm not saying anything is overpowered because if people complain about it IOI will then make it worse or get rid of it altogether. Because IOI are absolutely dumb when it comes to taking things away from freelancer

To answer your question, nothing is off the table for me in this game. I'm a Silent Assassin type of player, so there are some things I don't use because they make too much noise, but power level is immaterial to me.

There's coins on the bar in Hokkaido! One I think. Above the kitchen area where you can cut the fish to make the poison. Also, a single coin will spawn at the safehouse in one of two places. In a birds nest by the helicopter pad, and on the path down towards the mediation area to the right of the jetty. If it's not in either of those places then it hasn't spawned that time.

don‘t want to be a wise ass, but did you know that in alerted mode the targets can only see through 47s suits and all the guard outfits? can make the assasins life a lot easier in alerted mode… huge love for your videos! you make me laugh to tears… cheers!

Btw on alerted territories targets and suspect are enforcers to your suit and guard disguises so if you wear any other disguise there will be a lot less enforcers

on freelancer Ill use the dart gun if I have any poison challenges otherwise i avoid it. i always run the sick game those so it random what kind i have.

Hokkaido is really easy to silent assasin, SA SO is also preety easy, so I'd recomend picking it more. (if you have the scrambler)

You can't detonate normal explosives that guards are carrying, except for ducks. However, if the explosive is in a carried briefcase, they will explode.

Alerted territories are the best imo, figuring out who's an assassin or lookout etc.I think you acquire more mercs once you complete an alerted territory. This game is absolutely fun 😂

How unfortunate 😅 re: the Sieker - I feel that Freelancer is as difficult as it is because they knew the power of the Sieker and the Kalmer tranquilizer. In fact, they could have chosen to exclude those. Originally, they were only available as Tools too, and the Collector's versions for the Weapon Wall were added after Beta feedback. Which I find odd, I never use the permanent versions; precisely because losing them is a harsh penalty, ironically. In contracts they can be hit or miss. Either the maker deliberately designed the contract around the Sieker (either that you absolutely need it, or that an obvious Sieker shot *doesn't* work), or it doesn't matter whether or not you use it. You were right that it 100% trivializes Elusive Targets. It's probably nice for people who don't play ton of Hitman to have the Sieker as a fallback - if they've unlocked it. Remember, it's locked behind Mastery on Haven Island. The regular Gamepass players have no access to it outside of Freelancer.

I absolutely use the dart gun. I feel that it's very balanced given you have only 2 shots with it before you run out of ammo. I cant tell you how many times I've lined up a shot only to get the trajectory wrong and wasted my shot

Like 5 years ago Mooney learned that guard by the gondola was an enforcer, dropped a gun to lure him away, and escaped, but 5 years later he remembers nothing and goes for the helicopter. But I remember because I re-watch your stuff on the regular!

I've never seen you do this, so tip: you can turn on distractions and then turn them off right after, the NPC will still go there but you don't have to wait for them to turn the distraction off themselves

Guards will deactivate Explosives when they pick them up (unless it is a Proximity or a Rubber Duck). You can just wait until they put it in the Weapon Stash. It will be reactivated for some reason, you can tell cause when it is reactivated the Trigger will now able to be activated.

Perfect run was only removed for hardcore because it’s glitchy on that mode. It’s not glitchy on normal mode though. Also, yeah! Coins and ninja stars suck now! They need to fix that since this game mode is infinitely replay-able. I feel like I’m rambling on, but I also want to mention that I too keep away from cameras because I don’t want to train it out of my mind, it’s just not common sense and I had to teach myself to avoid it.

Yeah, Dianna giving the target introduction at the start is annoying. For bad starting locations, you're immediately worried about getting to a safe spot. One of the spawns I hated was in the morgue on Sapienza on an alerted territory. A lookout was overseeing the closest exit, and a suspect made a beeline for the chair right beside the starting spot.

I feel the poisons are the actual meta in this game, not that there's anything wrong with using them, this ain't a PvP game, I try combining various items I haven't used in combination with the dart guns, I like being overpowered at times

IIRC, there's a free coin at the safehouse near the helicopter. It moves location like the mushroom and rusty coin.

Honestly I use the Sieker and tranq gun all the time. I never go into a mission in freelancer without it. Its such a nice tool to use, but I get it if people think it's overpowered, but it makes things so much easier.

Would love to see you try to do a maniac speed run of a whole freelance campaign. The game mode is really fun with the objectives but imagine trying to beat this Insane-O mode. Make coco pops
