Can’t wait to see what the new offense looks like. It will be rejuvenating to see that offense back at Baylor again on Saturday.

I look forward to the return of the high octane offense to our Bears. However I have to remind myself that it wasn't all beer and skittles in the beginning. Coach Briles' teams went 4-8 the first two years with his system. It took a little bit of time to implement and for it to become effective at Baylor. While we appear to have some better athletes to begin with this time around we still can't expect immediate miracles. A realistic expectation of going 6-6 this season would be within reason. Why Coach Rhule deserted that type of very effective offense is beyond me. Of course much of what he did I didn't understand beyond seeing that he brought the program back from near death after "the scandal" and social media's firestorm. Anyway it's great to see us going back to an offense similar to the exciting one we once had. I envision the return of better athletes for Coach Aranda's defense and Coach Spavital's offense. The 2019 LSU defense along with the 2014 Baylor offense would be a beautiful combination to behold. I hope for a quick transition back to a HUNH wide spread exciting offense but I must temper expectations of it being as effective as before, at least during these first few years.

Remembering the amazing average points produced during the season...2013 - 52.4 ppg, 2014 - 48.2 ppg and 2015 - 48.1 ppg so I can see that the 2013 offense was the best in collegiate football history. No other program had the highest point production for 3 years in a row in the modern era (or in the ancient past iirc).
