Just to recap: They don't add them because some species are bad for frogs. Okay. The solution would be that frogs just don't eat them then, but fine. This would've been already stupid enough to make people angry, but it would've been SOMEWHAT understandable, they gave a reason, even though it's not a good one. The real nail in the coffin was that they then moved on and made frogs eat freaking cubes of magma, which I don't think would be good for them either in real life. The reason this is such a big deal is because they don't want to tell what the actual reason is for not adding them. This is like the worst excuse they could've made, and everybody knows that they can't be serious after making Froglights from magma cubes a thing.

I agree, don't post the update announcements so early, and I really hope we get a End Revamp Like The Nether, its gonna be huge if the end does

another thing is, sb, after 1.16 they said themselves that they overworked themselves a lot so the chance of an update being that big again is very slim

The only way they can fix the game is by adding actual good updates and add all the mobs from the mob vote, because we want all of them.

Mods are codded slightly differently, and coding the actual game is different and far harder, that's why you barely find bugs in the game cuz they spend loads of time refining an update.

For example, the mechanics for the bundle which were available in Java experimental for months but could not be used on touch-screen devices. There had to be a design suitable for both versions on all devices before a feature can have a full release. You have to apply this entire concept for updates too hence why it takes a lot of time.

8:00 the problem is not with java but with bedrock, they can add more if bedrock can handle what java can do, but unfortunately bedrock has a limit mainly because of the mobile version.

I am a coder and i made a big game that i updated every 3-4 days, but then i didnt update it as much. I took days off, so people at mojang probably just arent at work sometimes...

To be honest, I think they need to have more people working there who are actually passionate about the game. I think the reason that they don’t update as frequently is because they feel like enough people will still play the game for them to get payed, no matter what they add. However, I think it could be cool if they worked with some modders who play the game a lot and use their ideas

btw the reason i think minecraft isn't making updates like they did, like before they Added stuff, but nowadays the practically copy paste mobs and only add things that exists but the reason i believe they don't make as big updates as people wants to is probably because: 1: Performance. Minecraft doesn't require a good computer to run alright, but adding more updates will add more lag to the game, so instead of adding 3 updates in 1, and then needing to fix a bunch of stuff to make minecraft run as it did before, they make a bit smaller updates to make it easier, now because back in the day minecraft didn't have that many updates meaning they could do big updates but not anymore. 2: Expectations. Chances are that Minecraft also won't make big updates is because if they make one, people will probably start to get excited for the next "big" update but then realizes that it's now a small update, pretty much because of "lazy-ness"/"work smarter not harder"

Another thing, now update themes are messed up. We had "wild update" in 1.19 with only frogs and again got wolf varieties and armadillo in 1.20.5 (Also in a minor update).Really funny. One thing I hated is they released 1.18 without deep dark, so all the mountains we explored generated without deep dark. So silly.

Make so elytra can be worn along with a chest plate, and make it so banners can be worn on your head, at the same time as wearing a helmet, simple option of combining the 2 things in a crafting bench with some extra material would be good perfect way to do

I think the trial chambers are a bad update feature. They basically make the original mob spawners useless and mean you don't have to explore the world as much to get diamonds fast. Personally I think they're too cheaty which is why I still haven't updated past the armoured paws drop.

to be honest, what else could mojang possibly revamp or improve on other than the end now? I don’t think they will do a mineshaft update or something, that would just be incredibly boring considering 1.21 already was an underground dungeon themed update. now maybe they will just end up revamping something else or adding something new, (like the scrapped birch forest concept?) but honestly, I’m 99% sure next update will be themed around the end.

Honestly I think the game is great as it is if you know how to play. With the mob vote all they need to do is take the second runner-up and put it into the next one and revamp the old ones that were going to come to the game. Have the players vote upon that then add that one that wins. That way rather than adding them all at once they have time to code them and make them right.

Aren't fireflies mobs? So if you wanted enough for ambient e, wouldn't it cause too much lag? I'm a bedrock player, I'm limited to so many entities, java is different, but I cant even use item frames on a storage unit because of lag. The fireflies were a great idea, I'm sure they could add them as particle effects for swamp and jungle biomes

The thing that I don't like about fireflies not being added as they're poisonous to CERTAIN types of frogs if that bones can be deadly to dogs, but how to you tame wolves to dogs? Oh bones!!

The worst part of the updates was the reporting system. That has way too much on it to fit in a comment section. Also I know of a lot of lashback on 1.17-1.19 because it took from the original vibe of the game (I think it is cool, but those whom I call friends not really)

I am a developer though I don't work in game development. I think (or I want to think; if I were the developer or manager in charge, this would be my thought process) the reason why they aren't pumping out crazy updates nonstop is they want to grow the vanilla experience very carefully. Vanilla is vanilla because it's nothing really special, nothing really overly crazy, it's just a really great basic thing to build upon. In my opinion they are already kind of hurting this with the trial chambers. If they keep adding big stuff every update, Minecraft will be so full of stuff in 4-5 years there will hardly be anything left to add.

They should make a way to change the soundtrack of what music you listen to bc my favorite is 1.12 golden age of music is minecraft.

I dont think the developers are ruining the game. It’s more of the communities fault by not accepting what mojang brings to us in updates.

I just want them to focus on making a game. I really hate the idea of trying to educate kids with the game or trying to keep in in reality. The fireflies being removed is really dumb. They straight up made the game worse because they actually think people care about being educated by a video game

Agnes is doing fine. Some of the most monumental updates have come under her watch. However, some of the most polarizing things have also come under her watch. It doesn't have anything to do with her being a woman. It has to do with the insertion of political messaging into and around the game. Minecraft is supposed to be a completely separate world, free from all the garbage this world produces. It's an escape. And whether it is her personally, what she allows the game devs to get away with, or Microsoft edicts, that border between the real world and your Minecraft world has been eroded. I think that is what people are reacting negatively to, and since Agnes is the head of the studio, she gets the blame. It comes with the job.

the thing with the frogs not eating fireflies is to me like mojang/microsoft think that if you want to know what a frog eats instead of searching a wikipedia for the answer they play minecraft and find out the "real way" which is stupid but seems to be the way they "think", zombies, skeletons, enderman and creepers are real and all the other hostile mobs ingame. Very "IRL" yeah.. they are a bunch of idiots thinking that a small thing like a firefly getting eaten by a gamemob is to affensive and breaks the "its not safe" but adding mushrooms and red mushrooms together makes it safe? ffs add the f-ing firefly and the other things that are not "real life" its a GAME ffs

I hate the community so much because of things like this. I know that mojang aren't perfect, but no matter what they do and how they di it people will complain about it. And people complaining about newer versions can play the older ones. There is so much to do in the game. And i just try to have fun with it.

you know early annoucements, aint that bad at all, that way you can prepare yourself for the new things that will come, or imagine that a new update its actually taking something off the game, this way you have time to enjoy the last days doing or using something that you might like in the game its sad but its the reallity here... let me give you an exemple, trial chambers, if they havent annouce it early, how fast would you be to gather more resources and spare gears and stuff like that??? i know, but before you say something, think with me, im gonna give you my life experience with minecraft, im a dam newbie, i dont know and havent been able to make a single breeder farm work properly, and we both know a breeder farm its the most needed farm cuz its what makes you advance more in the game and having more different farms that need villagers, but this is me im talking for myself, so post this we are able to say that the time im going to spend to gather resources its way more than the time that you are going to spend now features that they add to the game, well i would like to have it possible to make an air pocket in bedrock edition as you can do in java, but since the languages are different maybe coding an air pocket for bedrock its more difficult or it does not work at all, can i complain? i cant, its not me doing the work, in my opinion the game its not destroyed, and they are doing a hell of a great work with it... i mean, the world evolves itself, we as people also evolve and change, why would we say that they are destroying the game with all this changes??? we cant, first they are the devs and the coders and the genious behind the game so they have the last word, if we as a community or singular person dont like it, its easy we can stop playing, its not gonna change much for them, because they will still have their "business" running, they are still making money with selling the game, then the lets call it ingame store or in this case the marketplace right, if there's anything we would like to add to our world we can go there and get it, and they are still making money out of it, second there are modders for a reason, that create our wildest ideas, without the fact that minecraft doesnt have everything we would like makes it possible the existance of modders which job its creating mods for us, i dont understand why people try to find reasons to make it look bad or whatever, minecraft itself its very poor when it come to furniture and decorations, but thats why we have modders doing it for them, and the fact that we can get all that inside minecraft marketplace its awsome, this way they can get their heads working on ideas for the actual game, and gives time for modders to create our little demands, and seel them at the actual game marketplace, i think that people forget that what the game devs think its gonna be a "waste of time" to create and code themselves, they dont make it impossible for us to have because they allow it to be created and they give that to us tru the marketplace, so i think that there's too many picky people that wouldnt even be able to handle the stress of coding, getting wrong, redo all again, just to having it work and make players enjoy the experience, in my opinion those that complain too much are the ones that would quit if they were the ones to make what coders/modders/developers have to do just for us to sit down and have some fun and relax in the end of our day, but enough its enough, i guess i said too much for a day already, and probably people wont even understand half of what i just said because their minds are too small to think about what other people have to go tru or do for us as an active community in the game, keep up with the good work my friend, ive just started to see your videos like last week or maybe the last two weeks and im actually enjoying your content, so i guess that the only thing i can do or say its thank you and to show my support im going to subscribe right now, im sorry i havent done it already XDD

The number 1 thing that Microsoft and Mojang need to do is change the rendering engine in Minecraft Java so that it actually uses the GPU. Currently, it uses the CPU and is the main reason for Java's poor performance. Their logic makes no sense.
