The fact that Phil is so much calmer then the people who freak out after what looks like a two day world is so refreshing

Philza’s one was actually a bug and because of it it was patched so that was one good thing that came out of it

With phils iconic death, he HAD totems but when he went over it, he said he was too proud to use a totem so he tried to eat an apple instead

5:22 the reason he died was that when a shield gets hit, it gets disabled for one tick before going back up, and since there were two creepers that blew up at the same time, it disabled the shield after the first one blew up.

Yeah just to confirm that was completely the game's fault on Phil's death, in that version of the game you have to place water or have slow falling, but it wasn't well known at the time so he just got glitched

12:50 he didn't walk off it was a glitch that makes you go into the swim animation after going through the portal since the it is a one block which was enough to push him off the glitch is now patched right after people saw this

The one where he died from the creeper was because there was actually two of them. One destroyed the shield, the other killed him.

5:24 One of 2 Things: 1. One of the creepers blew up, causing his shield to go down for a moment and in that moment the other blew up. 2. He accidently let go of right click

5:30 the Skeleton behind the Creeper hit the shield first, and the Creeper blew up in the split second that the shield went under cooldown. Also, Phil's iconic S2 death was a few days after 1.14 was released, so it was incredibly unlikely he had an abundance of Totems.

The one who died to two creepers was because the first creeper broke his shield and the second creeper killed him. Love your reactions SB keep up the good work!

With the philza death back then when you went trough the end gateways there was a glitch that made you walk forward a bit and that is what killed him

What happed to Philza in minute12:56 is becuase in previous versions of Minecraft there was a glitch where when you went through a end gateway you entered crawl and he was to close so he fell off. (It's been patched btw)

I still remember about a year ago I was in my enderman farm repairing my stuff and boom I for got to put my elytra on I was actually so close to surviving I didn't even have a totem back then but after that I learned my lesson and totems have saved my life multiple times I had max gear but an advice I would give to new players is to abuse the shield until they get totems
