They are, jokingly maybe, trying to get cancelled, it was even a hashtag they were using for a season #CancelSouthPark. Also the part where butters with his pants down was in a scene where after every girl in the school broke up with every boy, including getting butters Canadian girlfriend to break up with him, because the girls mistakenly though one of the boy, Cartmen , was an infamous troll and that the boys were just letting him get away with it. Then butters starts a protest in the school saying boys shouldn't be ashamed of being boys and do so by walking with their pants down and fist raised.

"they're trying to get cancelled" yes actually, but not in the episodes shown in this video.. there actually was an era at the end of last decade, where Matt & Trey stopped enjoying working on the show and desperately wanted to get cancelled by Comedy Central.. based on the quality of the newer seasons i think they learned to enjoy it again, but it could also just be the fact that Paramount+ apparently pays them well..

The concept of "cancelled" is still a new phenomenon in society. The concept didn't even exist for the majority of South Park episodes. Some people will say "yes it existed, they tried to cancel rap music and Mortal Kombat!" No. It's not even the same thing. It's not the same ballpark, it's not even the same sport. The vast majority of people, left and right, supported free expression and nobody got shut out or fired the way they do now. People were actually free to express themselves without consequences and it was beautiful.

The statement they're trying to get cancelled doesn't make any damn sense in your title. South Park originally debuted in 19 1997 and it's been running continually year after year without a break it's probably not going anywhere until the creators get too old to do it anymore and they started doing it out of college! So, I would have to gather they were around 22 to 24 when they managed to get a network to put South Park on. 22+27=49. Years old is all they are. For their 27th anniversary they put on a concert at red rock amphitheater outside of Denver Co nationally broadcasted on Comedy Central and then on pay-per-view and a premium channel I don't know who Hulu HBO?
