I recommend you listen to "Martirio" the song is in Spanish but it is spectacular, the way they play their instruments and how they sing it is very good
What you conclude at the end regarding the dilemma of those major labels looking to take over great promises, you should watch the 2017 TEDx in Nevada, where The Warning was they talk about their beginnings or about part of what you commented at the end, they make 3 presentations but it's totally worth it.
All three are super talented and have worked very hard to succeed. And it’s becoming clear that Pau is a genius. She is multitalented and her intellect is huge.
“Diamond noose at your throat”. So awesome! We can scratch & claw (& steal) for all these riches & trappings of success to show off but it ends up owning us. The Warning is not just a band name.
I've been obsessed with The Warning since I first heard their music last year. As others have said, they're very professional and a class act. I was super impressed watching one of the fancam videos of them on the Europe tour last month and Pau spoke to the audience asking if everyone was ok, if they needed anything, if anyone needed water and to let them know because audience safety was the most important thing. More bands should do that. You also might be interested in the acoustic performance of Money that they did on the Preston & Steve show on WMMR in Philly. Pau sang lead because Dany was sick and there was also an interview which I found interesting. Keep on rocking and you've been warned!!
This is an incredible band. Truly sisters. And truly family. Their journey has been well shepherded by a strong family unit. They have progressed at their own direction and are now making a huge splash on the world music scene.
Someone else mentioned they retained their Patreon page and link to their fans but they also maintained control of their social media accounts so nobody is controlling their interactions with their fanbase.
I think you hit the nail on the head. These three amazing talented musicians are firmly grounded. They love their family, they love their fans, and they love making music their way, and The Warning Army loves them as a band, and as the women they are. Another great reaction. TWA loves seeing people go down this rabbit hole and discover one of the best bands in the world.
The Warning...Fantastic Band!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What drew me to this band is their music and their energy .It brought me way back when bands were great ..the other appeal is they aren’t like everyone else and that’s unique. You can’t help but be inspired and seriously root for their success. one year fan here and I’ve never looked back .🤘
There isn't a bad song in their entire catalogue. The Teatro Metropolitan concert is one of the greatest I have ever watched, right up there with Nightwish, Wacken 2013. And the girls are playing Wacken this year!!!❤
@@northof4912 That's a blast! I have seen all the acts you have listed as well! The Billy Joel/Elton tour was an incredible show! David Bowie & RUSH were two others that really popped for me as well, but I would have lost it to have attended Wacken 2013 and I WILL see the girls!! Cheers from Vancouver Island!
@@jwilywily I saw Billy Joel and Elton separately. I’m grateful I got to see Elton when he was still doing his crazy outfit, crazy performance, routine. At one point he was on his back, on top of the piano, playing behind his back. Later he was underneath it playing it. All over the place for the whole concert. His talent was unbelievable, not overshadowing his showmanship. Easily the best concert I’ve ever seen. Billy Joel was really cool too. He had an open stage with 4 pianos, baby grand at the front from which he played Piano Man. But he rotated through all 4 so everyone in the arena got to see him directly, even “behind” the stage. Both guys put heart and soul into their performances!
"It's all about that cold, hard cash, hon" - I can't get enough of watching Pau back there. Not just drumming and singing, but she also gets a little dance groove going every now and then, just having a blast.
They took seven months to negotiate with their record label to get the content control they wanted in their contract. This was after straight up rejecting previous offers.
Absolutely Bravo to their parents. Put the 3 sisters together and they has a power that can't be overcome. It took 7 months of negotiations with Lava Records for The ladies to maintain their independence in their contract. You can never argue with 1 sister about their product. You are always arguing with 3!
Mrs Realistic thanks again for a great reaction beautiful lady ❤️🤘🤘🤘 These girls just are rocking my world, super power trio who I have no doubt will be superstars ⭐️⭐️⭐️ before long….thank you once again, ROCK ON THE WARNING 🤘🤘🤘
One of the things that they insisted on in their contract negotiations with the label is that they were able to keep their Patreon. It had provided a significant amount of funding for them in their developing years and probably continues to do so today, with a good number of members.
@@MrsRealistic Otra condición no negociable como banda, fue la NO sexualizacion de su imagen, ellas siempre han cuidado que la atención de los fans se enfoque en su música.
@@MrsRealistic when last I looked, a few months back, The Warning had more than 3500 paying Patreon subscribers. The greatest number ( by far) of any band on the entire Patreon music platform. There was was only 11 accounts out of the more than 14,000 in the music category with more subscribers. All were either reactors or provided lessons.
KA-CHING!!! 💰This song gives me Kiss vibes... anyone else? Even though Ale is wearing an AC/DC shirt in the version where they opened for Foo Fighters.
"Less isn't more in this business Rapacity will be the illness" "Diamond noose at your throat" "Moral code updates three times a year Truth that's dipped in gold is just as sincere" Pau at her metaphorical best. Imagine these lyrics in 60s, 70s when artists wrote meaningful songs and their fans appreciated them. Probably from mid 80s the focus shifted to performance & energy resulting in instrumentation becoming a priority in a song. Intellectualism of classic rock died when the land of Robert Frost, Emily Dickinson & Bob Dylan decided that the show is more important than the substance.
Great and insightful reaction Mrs. R....you may want to watch the TedX concert from Nevada when the were quite young and actually talk between songs about exactly what you are saying...they were wise beyond their years 7-8 years ago...the TedX concerts are actually a must watch...a glimpse of the future of these brilliant young women. Appreciate your support for these marvelous, talented, wonderful young women. Cheers. BTW...we all give a huge BRAVO to Luis and Mony for raising these absolutely stellar young ladies!!!
Another awesome song from Teatro Met this is a fantastic show. I love this one so much the crowd participation is next level the breakdown is awesome and you nailed the meaning. TW are very special ladies and fought hard for their music and ended up in control so kudos to DPA. Great reaction thank you 🔥⚡
One of their _Money_ vids is their 5th most viewed vid on youtube. I had seen some of their other vids but this song is what made me a fan. This CDMX performance is the definitive performance of _Money_ imhop. Good choice!.
I'm sure it will have already been requested but you should check out their brand new video for their song Qué Más Quieres. It's a funny homage to latin american telenovelas and written & directed by Paulina.
I truly appreciate your reaction, because I can sense your wisdom and discernment with what you say. Usually that wisdom comes from dealing with a lot of life and the challenges that come with it daily. Again, thanks.
Good react Mrs.Realistic👍 Recomended for you guys....come react 3girls hijab rock metal band from imdonesia VoB (Voice of baceprot) : god, allow me please to play music. These good band n amazing talentted 3ladies,good liryc in the music, waiting for you 🙏🔥🔥🔥🔥
Perfectly said. “Epic”. These girls are so special. This is one of the best Live Concert recording I’ve ever heard. Do every one of these cuts on this concert. BTW. The White outfits came on after the short recorded intermission. Even that part of this, I’ll use this word again, “Epic” concert was done flawlessly. 💕🎶💕🎶💕🎶
Raised right is almost an understatement...true roll models for young adults in every sense. Love DPA and The Warning! Been drumming 50 years and Pau's taught me a lot!
Music teacher/critic/producer Rick Beato and The Warning's producer, David Bendeth, got together to judge many other producers' audio mixes of Money. If you're the least bit nerdy about audio production as I am, it's interesting. It's several hours worth of the same clip mixed many different ways by different people. At the end of it all, The Warning help make the final decision. ru-vid.comJrJWnruZbI8?
These girls have never written a bad song and every performance is better than the last but , if you want a little more backstory and some great music at the same time , do yourself a favor and check out “ you’ve been warned - TedX “ performance !!!.. your welcome !!!.. lol..
Great reaction! Los sellos discográficos podría ser un lugar donde imaginar que esta canción le quedaría justo, pienso que también la ambición desmedida, la falta de valores y el egoísmo en general que se ve mundialmente hoy en día es la inspiración de este tema. Gracias!
Great review...You need to watch (and review) their official version of "Martirio" in their native tongue Spanish, and hold on to your seat when it gets into gear! It rocks!
I think Lava is one of the "new school" labels that understand what their role means in this era of digital production and distribution - not so much a giant capital-intensive factory belching out vinyl discs like in the old days, but more along the lines of a marketing consultant firm. Newer thinking for a new age in music production.
@@MrJest2 deffinitely . . . Having seen interviews with the guy he seems genuine and wants the best for his stable ,not flashy like music bosses can be . . .
I remember when Danny was talking about wanting confetti and the next show if anybody knows which show that was that were they fired confetti and if it was the dollar bills with the DPA faces on it I can't remember what concert it was
@@MrsRealistic They do a changeover in the middle while the song Breathe plays in the background. That was an extra song added to there Error album that Pau sings but that she said was too emotional for her to sing live. But….. in December, at their Pepsi Centre 10th anniversary concert, she did do it live. There are fan cam videos of it and it’s quite a performance, but we are all hoping the whole concert will be released just like this one. They have a string ensemble for Enter Sandman and Black Holes, which bookend Pau at the piano singing Breathe. This is the same concert that the live version of Hell You Call a Dream is from, so we know it was professionally recorded.
Excellent reaction Mrs. Realistic! "Do you got money... or does money got you?" Disney, Nickelodeon, Simon Cowell, and Glee, to name a few, have been after them since they were youngsters. Those contacts are horrible for artists. The Warning has always demanded complete creative control over their material. Through the years they have only been looking for a marketing partner. After 7 months of negotiations, they signed a #5 album deal with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group. Tmk, nothing is done without their 100% approval. 👋😊❤️
Thank god they didn't go with any of those! In my opinion they're predators and only in it for what it can do for them, not what's best for the artists as people.
That is my opinion too @@MrsRealistic, and one reason rock is declining in popularity. One artist has some success, and the record companies just copy and paste it; instead of letting artists come up with their own original material. Back in the '70's, artists had free reign over their songs. 👋😊
Now they have learned that as a modern band, they need a lot of people working for them and most of them do it for *Money.* To be able to support them they need to get access to a lot of cash/money and their performances can solve this as long as they make it interesting for people to pay them money to see them perform. Anyone who runs a business *KNOWS* it's ""All about the money". What company can survive if they don't make any profit? How many people know of a doctor, dentist, artist, baker, café, car producer, restaurant or even a record label who does it for any other reason? Even animals quickly learn that they can get rewards if they do what people tend to like. For humans as well as animals it has always been about who can put food on your plate or protect you from different things. It's more about survival than love. The special thing about the music industry, as well as the movie industry, is copyrights that enable them to earn money even after the death of the artist/actors.
Yes, of course... but if you look into artists who get locked into contracts, having to do a certain amount of songs, no creative freedom etc, before they are free to do their own music... it's not serving the artist's best interest. Michael Jackson, Prince and Mariah Carey have all spoken out about how they were cheated out of money. There's shady people in every business, including dentists, doctors etc. People are sometimes too eager to sign a contract without making sure they're protected.
That was the intention when the song was written. Any musician that’s worth their salt will write in parts of songs that the crowd can participate in. The crowd engagement is essential to the atmosphere of any live performance and TW do it better than most. TW have stated publicly that they feed off the energy of the crowd. What better way to get crowd interaction without a forced call and response? It’s organic and a knowledgeable fanbase knows when it’s their turn. It’s a way for the artists to acknowledge how important the fans are to the overall success of the band by actually being part of the show.
@@mjc1389 Yes, and all that is great for the crowd, for you and for me that know the song (because we heard it complete before), but for a "first time reactor" it is better a version where they can hear the chorus. I am not saying there is any problem with this version I am saying that it is not ideal as an introduction to the song.
