$10,000 would have been a more realistic and fair price. The 100 hrs he mentioned couldn't have included all he invested in term of design and build time and materials, wear and tear, travel time etc tc.

$40 an hour for 100 hours of unskilled work is extortionate. This kind of artless epoxy stuff has been done to death. It's a roughly constructed and rough looking upside down chopping board with legs. He did well to sell it for $4K.

few comments: I think 4k is less to charge for it but people who dont know what goes into making this will think its very high so i usually reserve such pieces for me. Beautiful work. I've been suspending burl "islands" in resin for years for clients with only the resin holding everything together and with no flood coats on the top or the bottom, just seamless transitions between timber and resin like you do. I've had absolutely no issues at all with things coming apart. The largest table I've done so far was an $18,000 piece that was 3m x 1.3m with three independent steel legs that went all the way across the width of the table at both ends and the middle so the client could get 10 chairs around it. Your bench uses way less resin and is more than twice as thick so there's absolutely no reason why all of your work wouldn't stand up to the test of time as long as everything is appropriately dry when you make it.

Stunning bench. As for the price, it is a one of a kind artwork as well as a functional piece of furniture. People who pay that kind of money are doing so because of the art, the time and the craftsmanship that goes into a piece like this. Artists always undervalue their work because they are afraid no one wants to pay the price. But, the right person will pay the price as an appreciation of all the hours you spent honing your craft as well as the time you spent creating this piece.

Your attention to detail is awesome. You have been doing this for a while with beautiful results. A concern that comes to my mind- Your close fitting of every piece might not allow epoxy to sufficiently bond the many pieces together as I would wish. Your installing the steel frame is excellent. To help with the bonding thought- I would pour a layer of epoxy in cut outs then bolt frame in place. This would help bond the many pieces. Sorry I rambled. Tom

We all have mishaps like that, I use an angle grinder daily and a few months ago tore up my finger with a flap disk. I just stood there shaking my head at myself and squeezing my finger to stop the bleeding.

Yes, when working with power tools, accidents can always happen.

I vote that you do a variety of videos. Some with subtitles/music. Some with voice overs. Some with a mix. Keep up the great work.

This is the first video of yours I have seen, great ideas. I like the voice over, I have a hard time reading captions as my eyes are not as good as they used to be.

What an exquisite piece dude. And with regards the narration, keep it up. You're interesting and you don't have one of those monotone voices that makes you want to change the channel! Good work👍

Voiceover was nice, included router error was appreciated, and $4000 is too cheap

Shipping container shop is a very cool idea. Can you do a video explaining how you created your shop?

Really enjoyed your video. It’s probably not the sort of task I would do but it has lit a light in my brain and will probably stay there. I am so glad you included the incident with the router because these things can creep on us no matter how experienced we are. I am eighty years of age.

Yes, an accident like this can happen to a novice or to a professional woodworker with 30 years of experience.

Your videos are so well produced that I don't think you need the voiceover. Sometimes, the voiceover can be a bit distracting. Either way, please keep producing.....

I prefer voice narration to subtitles because it is more information dense, and carries nuance.
