Thanks for watching! You can follow and find out more about Paul and Anthony's narrowboat lifestyle here: www.youtube.com/@NarrowboatLifeUnlocked instagram.com/narrowboat.life.unlocked/ facebook.com/morningstar73
I'm from the US and in 2009 my husband and I rented a narrow boat for 2 weeks and traveld the canals. It was WONDERFUL. Other narrow boaters were fun, friendly and helpful and the locks were easy to operate. It was the vacation of a lifetime and we said we'd like to retire on a narrow boat for a few years someday. AMAZING!
We made the decision to bite the bullet. Life is too short and we wanted to travel whilst we are young enough to manage the locks etc. thanks for watching ❤
What a beautifully edited video, and the perfect summary of life aboard! We sold up and bought a narrowboat 18 months ago and have no regrets. It’s not all sunshine and flowers, but the benefits are worth it ❤
What a great video! Paul and Anthony are living the dream on their beautiful narrowboat. I love how they shared their story and gave us a glimpse into their life on the water. It's inspiring to see people living their lives on their own terms and making the most of what they have. I can't wait to see more from Narrowboat Life Unlocked and learn more about the amazing lifestyle of liveaboards. Thank you for sharing your story and inspiring us to live a life of adventure and freedom.
@@anthonysmith-storey9247 I lived on boats for over 10 years in San Francisco Bay which was amazing, but what you have looks completely idelic by comparison. Please give Dexter a scratch behind the ears for me, he looks absolutely precious. Cheers and warm wishes from Boulder, Colorado.
@@Peter_S_ San Francisco Bay sounds amazing. We had the pleasure of visiting San Francisco some years back. We love our lifestyle and Dexter is definitely living his best life. Ear scratch given. Thank you ❤️
Trading with the assistance of a renowned network has made my returns very relevant and reflective on a regular bassis after viewing the insight on instagram
Even with the global dump fluctuation , I'm so excited I made 45k off my digital voucher within a period of few weeks following impliments with my TA king.arobertson
Man, I've always loved these narrow boats! They are just so cool looking. Then piloting them all the way at the stern. It looks like miles of boat in front of you. Just absolutely awesome.
Fabulous video of Paul, Anthony, and Dexter aboard Morning Star. They have achieved something a lot of people in the UK (myself included) can only dream about. I subscribe to their channel and their vlogs of life on the cut are fabulous. Their joy of life on the waterways is tangible. I'd highly recommend their channel if you're curious to know more about life on a narrowboat.
Paul and Anthony are living a life that I have dreamt about! I am so happy that they are enjoying their life. It's the first time I've seen a brand new narrowboat featured! It never occurred to me (duh!) that you could have one made! And I love the artwork! Thanks for sharing this lovely home.
I love it.Every foot that you have it set up to be comfortable on it. I once lived up in the northeast part of America and lived aboard my own boat in the winter time. I loved the ocean going boat. All I had to do was plug into electrical box. I put what they called a bubbler around the yatch to keep the hull from the ice freezing and hitting the wood and cracking the wooden hull. I had a electric heater like you have but you burn coal. it kept me warm in the freezing cold and snow storms of that part of the country. My boat was 32 ft long and about 9ft wide with a draft of 3 ft. Yes I can imagine the cool weather and the metal would be very cold. I love the way you have it set up.
Aww thank you for watching Jacqui. These guys did an amazing job at putting this together and showing exactly what we love about boat life. Soon be you guys ❤
This was a fantastic episode! Loved that narrow boat! And the scenery was amazing! What a very nice, compatible couple and sharing their space with a gentle doggie makes it very homey! And....great music!
My husband and I really like the narrow boat. Having a stainless steel hull is a good choice and we like the layout and design.👍👍 Thanks Matt and Danielle ❤️
Beautifully produced vlog! Anthony, Paul and Dexter have become long distance friends for my partner and I. They are just the most genuine guys. We subscribed to your channel and will follow along because of the quality of this posting, job well done!
Thanks guys. They did an amazing edit and really showcases what the canals are all about. Have a lovely week both of you and belly rubs for Greta and Johann ❤
@@NarrowboatLifeUnlocked The exact same thing happened to me. I can tell you pretty much everything about van living, but I didn´t even know narrow boat living was a thing. I thought they used just for recreation! Ah, if only Spain had 3000 miles of canals, with Spanish weather. I´d move in immediately!
@@ExploringAlternatives I’ve watched him for ears I can’t believe I never saw it! You just made my night! It’s cold here in NY anything the binge watch under a warm blanket
You picked a great couple to talk about living on a Narrowboat. I started watching their Vlogs awhile back and then finally caught up Their vlogs are beautifully done, video, drone, stills, and great editing. They are extremely personable, obviously well liked and respected in the Narrowboat world as they frequently show up on other popular Narrowboat vlogs. Thank you for highlighting the Narrowboat lifestyle, that I live vicariously through Vlogers like Paul and Anthony. 🙏😊 Kathy
Aww thank you Kathy. That is so kind of you. These guys did a great edit to show the beautiful canals of the U.K. and the great life of living on a narrow boat. Hope you are keeping well ❤
That's a great setup these guys have, the long layout means they can have their own space when they need it too. The boat is beautiful, I bet it was pricey too!
I think every lifestyle has its pluses and minuses. I'm trying to buy a house now, and it's one of the most soul-destroying experiences, even worse than earning the money to buy it. However, this is my path. I commend these gentlemen for taking the leap and I wish them well.
There different places in Europe you can sail canals , I know of Sweden and the Nederlands. I think maybe my uncle also sailed with his sailboat without a mast through some parts of France and he stayed for weeks in Paris at the riverbank. So go research. I know also in Southern India in the state Kerala they have backwater river systems, I have been on a day tour there once myself.
Thank you. It is 57’ which is the go anywhere size. Anything bigger than this and you would struggle to navigate the Huddersfield Narrow and Broad canal. You could do it at a push in a 60’ boat.
Nice boat ! I'd imagine it must take some time to get used to living such a slow lifestyle with always moving about. Is there a way to stay docked somewhere for a lengthy period of time I wonder, as petrol must get expensive while buzzing about day in and day out?
Thank you. It does take a little while to get used to it. You can go into a marina for a period of time but the cost would be more than the fuel. Most places you can stay for 2 weeks before you have to move.
Some people have crossed the channel in a narrowboat 😬. Not sure I would be that brave. They do have narrowboats in other European countries though like the ones you mentioned 👍
👋. The height of the interior is about 6’5” and the boat itself is 6’10 wide (anything wider would be classed as a widebeam). Widebeams cannot travel as extensively due to some narrow locks. ❤
OMG... I love Dexter! He's perfect! That is one awesome home and showcasing a sweet, stable happy couple is just a bonus. Aside from wanting a full size fridge I wouldn't change anything. The kitchen is huge when you consider the width of the boat. Thanks Paul and Anthony for allowing all of us to share in your experience. Much happiness, good health, and great weather in 2023. (and give Dexter a hug for me)
Thank you Greg. We love Dexter, absolutely our world. He is 15 now but does so well. Thank you for your lovely comments on our home. Hope you have a fabulous week ❤
Loved this episode as grandparents took me every year for a holiday on a narrow boat all over the UK when they hadn't got their own. It's such a peaceful way of life the wildlife is amazing.xxx Just signed up for your RU-vid channel.xxx
