They took me off the hill because of my ODR skis

This is the worst nightmare buying a new pair of ODR skis and then they say you can use them on the hill. This is the story of all my interactions with staff till it was resolved. Thankfully it has a happy ending.

A lot of this is driven by their insurance company and not resort management. Their policy specifies things like metal edges, releasable bindingss, etc.

Hey man, i picked up a pair of second hand Sled Dogs K9 not so long ago and I’m planning to try my luck at some of the ski resorts in my area. I’m based in Catalonia - and already had my negative outcome through the phone and email exchange with one of the most popular ski resort near Barcelona. Although after watching your video my confidence has definitely boosted, I’m still thinking of a plan B and head to Andorra, where most resorts are snowskate friendly, e.g. Tomsen (similar to ODR) are allowed. Should i try my luck and pack skis either way at the first resort? Obviously don’t want to be the Karen in this situation but its such a pity, even asking for a formal explanation they left me hanging. Anyways, thank you and keep shredding on the ODRs!
