I work at a comic/card shop and the amount of kids that come in with fakes is ridiculous. They almost never know they have fakes and they get super upset. I always feel bad. There was one instance where a kid came in with a binder full of 100% fake cards and he started tearing up the cards he was so mad. I always feel super bad when it happens.

Idk why but every time a $0 came up on a card it made me laugh. Great video. When I first got back into Pokémon about a year ago I bought some cards to keep my son entertained on a 10 hour flight from Frankfurt to Seattle and they were very fake. Bummed me out, so I’m glad to see videos like this showing what to look for.

I pulled a shining Charizard from neo destiny out of one of those vending machine things when I was a kid, even surprised the shop owner cause he said that a whole different vendor stocked it. Still got it to this day it’s my most prized card lol. Love the vids man keep it up!

As a kid going to school most everyone had real cards in their binders, but there was always that one kid that got upset because we did not trade for his fake cards :( It is a sad situation.

Those booster boxes looked pretty legit. Pokéballs on wrapper, packaging is snug/tight and when you applied pressure to the box it seems firm (usually the fakes are loose)

All fun and games until a seller hears you calling their product fake. Just gotta show them the caterpie ex.

The cards I get in a sense, but nobody was fooled by the plushies. And 11.99 isn't bad, they charge like 15 to 20 for ones that big. Its gonna be a little off so you can legally sell it.

Call the COPS on them for having and selling them fake pokemon cards and get the feds

Back in the days, more than 10 years ago i got in to a fight with a friend who said his yugioh cards a real. Problem was his neighbour had the same fake cards who was 3 years older and backed him up. It was the time where i didnt wanted to play anymore. Today im into magic and sometimes we play with proxys. Its different to play as and with adults :)

I pretty sure some Pokemon TCG products will be real by default because they don't make fake certain type of products like the Battle Academy in this video, however, the stuff inside could be tampered with.

In the UK, you can report sellers on markets selling fake products, and they get fines and bans.

For christmas, I got a little box of all vs and vmaxes, even a rainbow charizard. I started to get suspicious of them over the months and i finally decided to do the rip test, and sure enough they were fake, every single card. Be careful, you guys! Never buy third party pokemon products or single cards online or anywhere.

You also gotta be careful buying oldsr video games from flea markets especially the cartridge games as those can also be fake and it can be hard to tell. That pokemon snap you bought can be fake and you wouldnt know unless you open the cartridge, tons of repros out there being sold as authentic.

These are called Non-oris in Indonesia. These are mostly sold online and the sellers say they are Non-originals because once we had reals but they were not produced anymore due to the outbreak (c*vid) The front “goodcard” is for the end. I pulled an Charizard VMAX which is really hard to get even if its non-ori.

When I used to trade Pokémon cards at my old school, almost all of the kids had fakes and I could easily tell, they were fake rare ones too, charizards and stuff. I would always try and tell them and compared them to real ones, and the were so convinced they had such rare cards. Really sad

What's even scarier is that I have had legit booster boxes with smaller pokeballs on the factory seal. Came fresh out of a case and opened one to verify the legitimacy. These were Brilliant Stars booster boxes.

That really pisses me off, how low do you gotta be to make fake cards in fake packs. How are they allowed to sell these.. I’d be telling someone that they’re selling fake cards and scamming people. I don’t know that whoever is in charge of the flea market would care but that shouldn’t be allowed. Cause like we know they’re fake, but a lot of people including kids wouldn’t know. It’s not like the people selling these don’t know they’re not real, they know they’re fake and they’re doing it on purpose to scam ppl.

Really long time before, they were selling fake packs for their original price. i didnt knew they were fake cause they were my first packs. when i figured out there was too many hits, i went to the community in social media. when i showed up them, they all said they were fake. that was the worst day in my life.

Are you sure that normal packs can’t have that plastic “bag” looking material? I’ve opened tons of packs and some very real packs have had the plastic looking film if I opened them weird. I may be a fool but I have pulled valuable, very real cards from boxes that every pack has the transparent plastic film layer

1:50 you know what's crazy about this tin? About a month ago my parents got my younger brother a tin exactly like that. But different color. Today my Mom got me this tin but different color as well. Had a card in the bottom of the tin in between the plastic as well. Plastic also has the supposed Pokémon logo on it. Inside these tins you get about a stack of cards. Half normal and the other half are v cards, full arts, vmaxes and v stars. In my tin I got the Charizard V full art and Charizard V Star. I'm keeping all my cards because the art works are pretty cool. But I don't plan on selling them because they are fakes. Also it's difficult to find legit Pokémon cards in stores so we would have to buy from trusted sellers online. And that is always expensive. What's interesting is I'm in a completely different country. So I'm surprised they are selling those tins in America as well

It’s sad because as a kid I spent hundreds of dollars saving my money and trading them and stuff like that and a month ago I had hundreds maybe thousands of fake cards

Is it really a good idea to reveal the indicators that give away the counterfeits? I know it will help regular people spot a fake but counterfeiters can use the information you and others are putting out publicly to refine their product.

When you pulled the genesect right away I knew it was fake even without everything, because everyone calls the ability fusion system, and they put fusion system on the pack but its fusion STRIKE system so that was a good laugh.

I will say these 2nd wave brillant stars Booster boxes have a different pokeball printing on the plastic outside wrapper. It's not like the flaky poleballs from first wave
