No lye relaxers leave calcium deposits on your hair, lye relaxers don't...

Your hair looks so beautiful, I’m trying your tips. Just wish I can get the real Jamaican castor oil
@SashellesJournal
@SashellesJournal 10 месяцев назад
It's on Amazon, there is real raw castor Oil that's processed here in Jamaica but the one I use is JBCo by Tropic Isle Living, not the raw one that's here. Tropic Isle uses the same methods n it's a good substitute and the one I've been using eve since

Great video! Do you spray any water and add oils to seal your relaxed hair? How do you take care of your hair to sleep at night??
@SashellesJournal
@SashellesJournal 3 месяца назад
I dont add water anymore, though I use to, I just use my leave in and a light oil/ hair polisher. I use to wrap my hair or do twist then I pin it up. Now I just make a bun and use my Bonnet. Or I clip my hair up

No no, thick hair IS just genetics. Thin hair is the one that can be our own doing. Or genetics. Many thick hair girlies get their hair thin with the wrong habits and behaviours. Thick hair IS genetics, but we can fuk it up.

That's not true if u have followed my journey you would know that I was BORN with naturally fine hair. My natural hair was fine and that's how I was always accustomed to my hair. It's the routines and products that have changed my hair! Thick hair can be genetics but it's NOT just and I am living proof of that.

How often should you wash
@SashellesJournal
@SashellesJournal 10 месяцев назад
I reduce to twice a month max, once mostly!! It might be cringey but it works. Some persons sweat in their hair so they must not be able to do once, but twice is fine versus every week! Because if your do every week that's just too much manipulation!! Unless you are taking the most absolute precautions when it comes on to handling the hair and detangling! Wet relaxed hair is very vulnerable to breakage
@brittanymilgan
@brittanymilgan 10 месяцев назад
I agree with this, I used to wash and deep condition every week for years because that's what all the girls recommend. I didn't realized that what kept my hair shoulder length. Once I started stretching wash days every 2-3 weeks hair is healthier and longer.
@SashellesJournal
@SashellesJournal 10 месяцев назад
Yep u know im only speaking the deal facts, but most will tell you to wash weekly, even multiple times a week, ABOSLUTELY do not, wash days are very strenuous on our hair. One week of using products etc won't cause enough build up that many would say. Twice or once a month is enough to clarify, just used a deep clean shampoo each time u wash to get rid of the build up over the weeks.

Good tips, BUT ur hair looks like it already has a GOOD TEXTURE!!!! I doubt it's 4C.
@SashellesJournal
@SashellesJournal 8 месяцев назад
Trust me, my hair is 4c, 4c to the point I didn't have visible curls, I didn't even know curls existed in type 4 hair, trust me I have 4C hair, and not even thick 4c hair either, my natural hair was 4C but very thin, light and airy. What looks as if I had good texture. Was very bone straight freshly relaxed hair and if you are saying that to mean if your hair is a coarser 4c type then your not able to achieve similar results, I can guarantee you that you may have even better result with thicker courses hair cause can you imagine have naturally thick hair and taking care of it! You could get 10x my volume which is amazing to me. I have to work hard for the volume and length, plus thinner hair breaks easier. I feel very thick 4c is better for relaxers that's my honest opinion.
